Check with fraps how many frames u have during gameplay, musst be 60, not 58 or 59.
I have this shuttering too, my monitor was on 58 Hz so if you play with vsync there was this problem, after the change to 60 hz game runs smooth as f***

anyway I cannot change my monitor stats from panel...the only option is 60hz...I noticed that stuttering and micro freezes are random..not only during gameplay, but also, for istance during corner kick (when teh cam is behind the kicker)...is it because I am using mini image to start the game? it seems it is a loading issue...but I am not sure of course...it is really ironic I can run Battlefield 4 and Crysis 3 ultra at 60fps but not PES2014
I remember reading on here a while ago people having the same issue and I think they got it fixed. Maybe they updated their gfx drivers to the latest or switched off/on an option that has to do with vsync. Can't remember exactly. Sift through the thread as I'm sure you'll find the solution.

Me still playing this game quite often.
The interesting thing is though,
Since I started with PES 3 I always played with the D-Pad. Always!
Even with PES 2012 and 2013, when full manual was an option, for me PES still had been able being played with the D-pad and I had fun.
Now with PES 2014 I forced myself to get used to play with the analog stick and I gotta say that it´s much more fun like that.
Playing with D-pad, for the first time in PES 2014 I feel the limitations of steering your player and it´s really frustrating.
Haven´t felt that all these years.
To anyone playing with D-pad still I only can recommend getting used to the stick. It feels much better and imo it´s much more fun.
Haven´t played any online matches so far cause it had been too frustrating, but that´s not really a matter of PES 2014, I had that feeling with previous versions too (laggy, quitters etc).
The master league is fun, I gotta say. The feature to change the team and coaching national teams is superb! I took the offer to coach Bayern Munich, as I won the champions league with Schalke and accepted an offer to coach the Portugal national team.
Got them to qualify for worldcup 2018, but as I got an offer to coach the Germans I couldn´t resist.
Now if KONAMI manages it to bring in more depth in the masterleague, this would be great.

Well i'm 99% with dirty kits. Now i need Terry Butcher style head injuries and real time pitch wear, not forgetting mixing kits any way you want.We always whinge at anything that doesn't perfectly fit our tastes. Whether it's food, clothes, work, homes, weather, seats, games, you name it. It's all the same.

i thought it was jst me, i can feel the limitations too i dnt want to forsake my dpad , been playing that way since pes 3
PES 2014 is worthless as an offline game against the CPU.
When playing the Champions League on the highest difficulty settings, Top Player or Superstar, all you need to do is sprint forward then chip the goal keeper and about 80% of the time it's a goal. Complete utter garbage. I downloaded the newest official update today and its the same.
People caught up in the hype a few months ago said that PES 2014 was a proper football simulation where you had to think about each movement and use a tactical mindset to open up the defence. You don't even need to use any of the new tactical features such as "combination play" to make team mate runs because the game is so hollow you can beat teams like Man City 6-1 in the CL final on Superstar difficulty with ease.
Winning the Champions League in PES 2014 literally gives you zero satisfaction, not even 1% satisfaction. It's completely empty and hollow. Winning a prestigious tournament should at least feel like a journey where you have to put some tactical thought into getting results. Think of two seasons ago how Chelsea had to battle against Barcalona at Stamford bridge to get a 1-0 win in the 1st leg. That is how it should be on the highest difficulty levels, battling for a result against top class opposition.
I don't buy the excuse that this is the first iteration on the new engine. Konami can use that excuse for having no rain weather, hardly any stadiums or half baked game modes, but on the pitch the game should have the fundamentals right.

Guys, had the opportunity to play Next Gen Fifa, for me PES 2014's gameplay is definitely way better, game is more responsive, ball physics, collisions, game feels much more fluid.
I understand that PES 2014 has some serious gameplay flaws such as goalkeepers, Artificial Intelligence, response times should be better, graphically I find PES 2014 very good as well, played both games at 1080p (PES 2014 PC vs Fifa NG PS4).
Fifa's past and current gameplay flaw is that it feels scripted, ball does not feel as a real soccer ball. If Fifa does not fix or change that issue/feeling, I believe that PES can offer a better gameplay experience on the Next Gen platforms if Konami fixes all the bugs currently affecting PES 2014.

And everyone who thinks PES 2014 gameplay is not good and Fifa is getting better year fo year should search for "Fifa 14 and Momentum" at Google, then you will read how many Players are realy fucked up with FIFA 14.
None of the games are perfect.
But PES 2014 is still a better Football game then FIFA 14. EA has more Money to buy magazine Reviews, Licences, more Manpower for graphical optimizations and Marketing (to influence the kiddys in their optinion).

I'm sorry but i need to comment on this, I own both so I am not a troll and this is probably the most deluded comment have ever read on here. Admittedly I also proffered FIFA current gen over PES 14 but next gen is just a different league. And to call the game more fluid and ball physics better is beyond me, did you play for 30 seconds?

What difficulty level do you play on?
Have you tried sprinting forward then chipping the GK? If you have you'll see how fundamentally broken this game is.

I said it provides zero satisfaction because unless you are very new to the game, it's stupidly easy to beat the GK with chip shots. It's not just my opinion, it's a fact that is the way the game is.
No one in their right mind can say winning the Champions League on PES 2014 is satisfying. The only way is if you refuse to make chip shots, but its completely stupid having to play a certain way to accommodate a broken game.
So can you describe what your offline experience is like against the CPU on Top Player and above?
The GK's positioning is like Sunday league goal keepers. They stand off their line like wally's so you can chip the ball into the net at a highly consistent rate. Have you not seen this?

I agree with you Pitbull09, EA has more budget but game even NG does not feel as a soccer game. Also Fifa's gameplay engine is still the old one with only more animations/tweaks.
Konami also deserves credit for making a new gameplay engine, it still has gameplay elements from older engine but it feels overall a different game from PES 2013.

All this and the result that it has more sales influences again more People year for year (us included). Every year more of our friends starting to play Fifa. Football is still a coop game (to compete against others/friends). Fifa is recycling more elements from last years game as Konami. I mean look at PES 2008 as they implemented the new Engine (this game was also far from perfect but still beter then Fifa).
Also Fifa cost most times double the Price as PES.

well not really, that is unless you both own the game and put in the same amount of time into esch to make an unbiased opinion. which maybe you have but with comments like (not by you) its the same game but with added animations is utter rubbish. To be honest I had the same opinion playing for 5 minutes in game and watching youtube videos but when you actually really play it the difference is massive.
I am not going to go into PES 2014 faults and differences as there where that many game breaking ones

Delusions are based on consistent denial of fact or logic. An individual's experience, and this is especially true with art, is always subjective. So Pitbull09's assertion that PES2014 is better than FIFA14 cannot be a delusion because he has denied no established facts.
Also, 'unbiased opinion' in this case is oxymoronic as one's judgement of the quality of a game is completely subjective. No one can quantifiably prove that PES2014's ball physics are better than FIFA14's (or vice versa).
+1, Purchased Fifa 2014 current gen for PC, own PES 2014 on PC and yesterday played Fifa 2014 NG for two straight hours on PS4 with a friend, happy to report I am still a happy PES fan!!! Way more enjoyment!!
But of course PES 2014 needs AI tweaking, hoping that Konami might impress us with a new gameplay patch in the upcoming weeks.

Anyway you won't find overwhelmingly positive FIFA 14 impression on any other place than this forum and WENB. Even those old-timers on PESFAN conclude both CG and NG bear heavy resemblance with each other with the major exception being the graphics. Given enough time, they already saw and went through the same BS.
Before anybody question the credibility of PESFAN opinion, if you didn't know the site has turn into the biggest and loyal FIFA community in recent years mainly for people above 30. They aren't your typical hardcore fanboy retards.

Well, I fixed it by not playing the fucking game any more, but that's another subject entirely.
To fix this problem I would first try installing Windows Borderless Gaming and running that with PES:

You may find that playing PES in full-screen windowed mode stops all the stuttering and freezes. Give it a try.
Ultimately, this game's performance is a bit of a shambles on the PC, which shouldn't happen as I think an abacus could run this game.
have you tried the new 1.06 patch?
