ok guys, I'm looking at getting PES14 on PC because I want to get back into proper PES editing.

Is it better to get the physical disc copy of the game rather than a download/steam version?

Yeah Nvidia GPU or alternatives with AMD with Rivatuner forced frames to 60FPS seems to be working for me. Also online matches are alright with it bar the connection quality of course, which has enraged me today as well.

I have laptop with i3 and GT540M and Win 7 64b and I'm playing PES2014, wheel well until the 30 min of play without any lag and then get much lag in the game. Why does it happen? already upgraded drives, installed d3d overrider, put Dxtory limited to 60 fps but nothing solves. Because it runs fine until a certain part of the game?

Change your windows theme to windows 7 basic as well to improve performance if you haven't already. Also if you can install afterburner and tweak some gpu settings if you can. (faster fan speed more GPU power....

As i expected, they are using cracked installer, thus not officially supported by Konami. I believe you have to wait for 'unofficial' patch by third party out there.

Not sure what you're talking about. I have the game both on PS3 and on PC. I can't play it on PS3 anymore. The PC version (with SweetFX on) is like a new game. The gameplay is great, really hard (at least for me on Top Player) and the graphics are stunning.

Of course, THE GAME IS NOT PERFECT. No game is. There's room for improvement. But it's pretty damn good right now. I've played FIFA 14 too, and I think PES 2014 ON PC is so superior.

I was referring to the many posts around the thread about issues with the PC version, but I'm not getting into that again; the mods didn't like it last time round.

And that's a pretty beefy system you have there - I have no idea if it'll run smoothly on my machine.

Just put in a couple of hours of post-1.01 gameplay. GREAT game this is. The keepers are still unfinished though, and my poor laptop has some button lag. Other than that, this gameplay DESTROYS fifa's.

Ok, so played 6 games online (MLO). No lag whatsoever but the gameplay is impossible to deal with. At times it felt like (with all respect) a group of 22 handicapped people playing football. You could almost sense the opponent thinking 'wtf am I wasting my time playing this for'!! Every single goal came from some bizarre defensive lag or funky situation. Konami are so close, but so fkng far!!

Oh!!! And how is it possible that they STILL cant understand retrospective punishment?? Was playing against some guy and almost decapitated his striker - ref played on and they lost the ball - no card , nothing. It's not the only occasion. I mean, this is 2013, I expect my football game to at least abide by the fkng rules of football!! Konami, they're like girl you enjoyed boning so very much but lacked that ability to be a life partner!

Checked temp and did not exceed 79 º C, but the lag was present anyway. Does anyone know what I could do? It seems to me that the GT540M can run PES2014, even if it is with graphics on medium, but do not know how to solve these problems.

Guess it depends at what temperature your laptop starts to throttle the clocks. You sure it's not the same problem as many other people, because of the crowd?

How is this problem? Is to change this setting the temperature to decrease the clock, because in pes2013 also happened a little lag.

I checked some options in nvidia inspector, but does not show the gpu fanspeed. Is it because no there is a cooler on gpu? The laptop is a Samsung RF411.

Argh! I guess option files don't work online anymore. Got the OF for correct team names, logos but they don't show like they did last year :/

Logos appear fine for me as do kits, assuming your using PC?

Only the league Badge didn't appear i believe

Yes PC and you are correct. I saw the Logos fine but the rest didn't work. Wonder why.

1-input lag
some testers and reviewer said it's there but less than pes 2010 but i think it's just on bar with it, at least in pes 2010 it was limited to player movements , passing shooting but in pes 2014 every thing is lagging even player switching is lagging and this delayed responsiveness in almost every command including passing , shooting , dribbling , movement makes the game unplayable for me , it's notceable to the level that if u want to make 1st time shot or one touch pass then u have to press the button before u teammate pass the ball to ur player

2 cpu defenders were standing against my player that sun in between them while they were watching him ,so not only players are not well aware of the ball but also they are not well aware of each other on the pitch

4-shooting
random ,very weak , not rewarding ,may be they made it like that to cover the bad keeper AI

5-inconsistent , delayed player switching :

I agree with you. Although it's a great starting point, I just can't seem to enjoy this. It's an unfinished game.

I disabled the fucking crowd (thank you Anderson) and I'm running it with Sweetfx now :LOL: No going back indeed :COOL:

Put a good few hours into this last night, first time I've played a PES on pc, graphics are so much sharper than the 360. Coming from the 360 demo I found dribbling to be harder on the pc version (using same 360 controller) not sure if it's because of retail version or the platform. This game has quite a few problems but I'm finding it really addictive didn't want to put the controller down.

Started a league with chelsea (15 mins professional 0 bar basic basic) every game is tight only managed to win 1 of the 5 games so I'm pretty useless at the moment. There are times when I find the game really frustrating and other times it clicks for me hopefully just the bedding in process. A few problems I'm finding.

• Keepers seem to parry too much in the area their animations are fantastic though.
• Defending seems really awkward at times
• Few response issues with first time shots
• 0 bar is too loose but 1 bar too assisted, probably just needs more practice.

Looking forward to playing some more games haven't been this addicted to a football game in a while.

Had some online matches vs a buddy of mine last night. Despite a very minimal lag, which was absolutely tolerable, we've had tons of fun. Wasn't expecting this to run as good as it did after reading many horror stories here and on other sites.

One thing, though: How the hell do offensive headers in the box work on manual shooting? We couldn't get it working. At all. Not even once. Is it just broken? I do remember people talking about something iffy with that, cannot remember the details, though.

really enjoying the game, response times are painful at times but so far hasn't ruined it for me just yet

shooting feels great one minute and then mediocre the next, again i'm putting that down to response

can't wait to try a patch from the mods, always give PES a kick up the arse

This got me thinking btw..

Last night after playing around 5-6 games, only one was laggy. Thought it was a stadium issue but I've played in the same stadium and got the lag. It is still stadium related somehow though, surely not difficulty or anything else. Then I assumed it might be the crowd? Choreography? Flares? Anything extra that makes the game lag? I remember something similar in PES 5 btw which got toned down in PES 6 and results were better.

Heading towards goal is broking with manual shooting. Only works on assisted. Hope KONAMI or modders sort this out. very bad bug I'm afraid.

The crowds were nice to watch for a while but now I got rid of them, it plays better without them and since there is the sound it's all good.
