PC PES 2014 discussion thread

Don't see what you find so hard to understand about that...
Much easier type type "Are you serious?" than to take a few minutes and help someone. Internet thing unfortunately. I'd fill you in but I just heard about it for the first time two minutes ago while reading this thread.

Football Life is just a name on the menu ... menu that includes Master League, Become a Legend and Master League Online. Nuff said

I'm also thinking about buying the CD-Key. I wonder if these guys are able to guarantee their key works on the steam release. If so, this price is very worth it for me, considering that with shopto shipping costs apply.

Cheers. :)

So nothing special then - just a menu basically. I don't know. PES 14's gameplay looks so good, but off the pitch it looks like the same old, same old, whereas I'm very impressed by what's happening off the pitch in Fifa. Shame that game looks exactly the same, regardless of whether it plays differently or not.

Anyway, sorry for the O/T.

Are these sites entirely reliable then? And regarding Shopto, I'm pretty sure Recorded Delivery is included in the price - for UK at least; can't speak for the rest of Europe.

Are You McEnroe ?

Nah, if he was McEnroe he'd say 'YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS' and throw gamepad/mouse at the screen. ;)

@TheDoctor76: Yes I bought a FM key with a similar site, but I was sure it was going to work on Steam. That one is one of the biggest.

Yeah, shopto has free shipping for the UK only, it's an extra 3£ for everywhere else.

It's revamped Master League. Since PES 2012 (correct me if I am wrong), it was renamed to Football Life. It's nowhere near what you have in FIFA 12/13. It's more like FIFA 11 and prior Career Mode.

But with all competitions on from 1st season, real CL/EL in it, but unrealistic FA/League Cup where... If you play Bundesliga, you may encounter some D2 team in it from other country...

Meh;)

Not true about the D2 thing. Adam just confirmed that yesterday.

You and me both. EA has one modus operandi. Out license everyone and kill any competition not by building better games.

Well to solve this problem is rather easy. If I were Konami, I'll make a similar to real model and then release it one by one and branded as "modder" works for free. Technically, there are no laws being violated here.

Screw with EA anyway :TTTH:

The best things come to those who wait, my friend.

I'm actually quite happy to play this game without sampling demos. It's quite exciting, like the old days of PES.

Yeah, I know… It does not help that it seems like this September is the longest September in history of Septembers.
On the bright side, it will be possible to play PES 2014 on very old PCs like:
- Pentium D (Dual Core 3.0 GHz)
- 2MB RAM
- Radeon x1650 pro (256 MB)
- Windows XP SP 3, DirectX 9.0c

I think these are real/realistic minimum system requirements (PES 2014 is based on PS3 technology after all).

So, exactly when does the PC demo come out? I wasn't going to bother with the Fifa 14 demo that much, but I have to say I quite like what I see. Chances are, if the PES demo had come out first, I might be playing that, given that Fifa 14 looks exactly the same, even if it plays differently.

Dumb move, Konami - real dumb move.

Think happy thoughts, gentlemen.

By the end of next week we will be playing the best looking, smoothest version of PES2014. Think of the patches, extra stadia, etc...

Our time will come.

Yup. I have no problems waiting. I'm looking long term.

Personally, I don't like spending money these days unless I've at least played a demo. Take Rome 2 for an example; people have been waiting almost ten years for that, game looks amazing in the videos. But no demo was released...

Guess what? Game's a broken, buggy pile of crap.

The PS3 and Xbox will soon be yesterdays news. I don't understand Konami's decision not to release a PC demo at the same time with the consoles.

You would think they would be keen to show off the game on a superior machine.

Quite so. No, it seems more important to 'punish' PC gamers because of the mods - which might just have the effect of pushing them towards Fifa 14 given that the demo for that is out now, on all machines.

Played FIFA 14 demo, deleted it, I know what game I want to buy this year. Nope, it's not FIFA (the changes they have made are miniscule, not game changing for someone who used to play PES3 onwards).

So speak for yourself FIFA lover ;).

I don't think it will. PC gamers are still getting a demo but the timing may cause some to purchase the game a few days later.

Also remember that Konami are bringing their new engine to the PC this year, EA isn't. EA are the ones treating PC gamers with utter contempt (they don't even bring Madden to the PC, for example).

I'm not happy about the delayed demo but it won't affect sales one bit. True PES fans are a pretty loyal bunch.

I used to have an xbox 360 and a ps3 but due to financial difficulties I had to sell them both. I only play on PC now.
