PC PES 2014 discussion thread

but it doesn't make sense that recommended specs are phenom II x4 for cpu and only 2gb of ram.

too high cpu spec for a sports game, while on the other hand too low ram.

The physics engine uses the CPU for it's calculations.

RAM size is mostly irrelevant as long as you have 4gb+

It's not ridiculous in any way. The PC boys talk about all these different mods etc. Console boys don't. So it's better to separate.

So because the PC is a different platform altogether and discussion isn't appropriate for the PS3/360 console thread, the PC discussion is moved to... another console discussion thread.
This is what I mean by no logic whatsoever. It's the PS3/360 discussion that should have been moved to this thread.
Akin to separating the apples from the oranges by removing the apples and putting them in a different bin containing more oranges.

EDIT: Okay, I see this is actually a PC-specific Thread, it's just part of the "all other consoles" sub-forum. I'll shut up now.

I don't think it's really that much for 2013 PC gaming standards and also tell me another sports game released on PC/console which has barycencer and cloth physics...
@fanolato That system will easily run PES 2015/2016/2017(next gen consoles are just low-end CPU + mid-end mobile GPU combined in a very efficient arhitecture).

You and me both. I think the modding side of the game could be special this year. Also, if the console players are saying the game is looking great on PS3, it should look awesome on PC.

YEs !!!! My three years old laptop can run this game, the specs are leaning more towards the recommended ones than the minimum.
I'll need to invest in a computer in the coming months though.

Before 7 months I bought new PC and I planned to play pes 2014 and Football Manager :)) I knowed that pes 2014 will be more demanding than 2013 becouse of Fox engine and other stuff. I have ps3 too and I played the demo and I can say that only reminds me of ps1 and ps2 days :)) I know that was set on superstar but yesterday when i played with Italy against Germany only smile remains on my face for 5 mins(becouse halfs are 5 mins), man I can`t belive what I saw, CPU is building their attack from their own ground trying to find hole in my midfield, I cannot take the ball from their feet :) I have feeling that some proffesional footbaler is playing against me :) to be clear NO SCRIPTING AT ALL! I only think that shooting needs tweaking and gk positioning but we all know that later code is without this flaws :) I`m starving.. :)
 
It's the DX11 bit that has got me interested. Perhaps a few advanced settings for DX11 cards? Maybe a DX11 mode which I've seen in other games?

Probably but not on maximal settings.

You could invest in a new PC esk. :) You can get decent ones for not very much particularly if they are phasing out support for XP.

The requirements say Vista so probably not. I guess we have to move forward some time. If you look at the latest Steam survey only around 7% of gamers use XP now:

If you want a definitive answer it's probably best to ask Adam Bhatti. You never know, you might get a polite answer.

Ati Radeon HD 4890 2gb
4 GB ram DDR3

What are my chances to play it on high settings and at 60FPS smooth?
 
Amazing work being done by the pes modding community! I sold my PS3 and am dying to play the demo, but the wait on the PC will be worth it.
 
hm it seems i must switch to win7 dont really like it, btw i can play on high settings with this spec? amd athlon dual core, 3 gb ram , ati hd 6450
