PC PES 2014 discussion thread

The game has to look better on the PC version then, because those recommended settings are much higher than any current-gen console can manage.

Good and bad news for people like me who have a 3 year old laptop :P

Still pretty lightweight specs though.

1gb VRAM may be an indication of better texture quality.

What a vague description.

DirectX11 Card with 1024MB RAM? The vast majority of cards sold nowadays support DX11. I have a NVIDIA 620, which supports PES 2013 just fine, but I don't know if it will be capable of, at least, running at 60fps ingame (and I would be fine enough with). Konami has to write better the requirements.

This is one of the reasons PC demo should have been released along with consoles.

Something like HD7850/GTX 460 or higher should run the game on high settings just fine.

The spec are pretty reasonable, we can expect SSAO and Ambient Occlusion as DX11 features, hopefully. PES 2014 on PC will be just magnificent! :APPLAUD:

I get the feeling it isn't modders 1 - 0 konami

this was probably left open as intended as only helps konami in the end

good results tho

Ah mate you wouldn't say that if you knew how hard it is.

sxsxsx just worked non-stop to decode the proprietary model format that was even different from last year.

ok, but was it encrypted at all?

I sure it was not easy, we have some clever guys here :APPLAUD:

Even if a chipset isn't supported you might still be able to run the game right? Or am I really doomed with my old GTX 260?

That list is just giving you a middle ground. There are worse graphics cards than yours on that list, don't worry, you'll be fine.

Why aren't discussions about the PS2, PSP, Wii and DS versions part of the console thread for PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers? Bizarre and ridiculous really that PC gamers on the PS3/Xbox 360 forum were forced to go elsewhere to discuss PES 2014. Yet here we are as one part of yet another console thread. Reminds me of my days as a grade school teacher: the people who ran the place made arbitrary decisions that seldom if ever made any logical sense.

I made the case for a PS3/360/PC chat thread as the game is essentially the same for all three formats. Versions of PES for the Wii or handhelds are like completely different games.

Still, at least we have a place to talk about the PC version without constant whining from console users.

And it does not offer full DX10 compatibility not to mention DX11 ;).

Plus XP support ends in January. So there. Obsolete OS with memory leaks :P (not if you're on 64-bit of XP tho as this one is based on badass Server 2003 kernel ;P).
