PC PES 2014 discussion thread

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

what is your opinion on 11v11?

The next update will fix the v-sync? Because the game runs fine on my laptop, but it happens all the time delays on the screen, I think it not is because of lag pc performance, but because of the v-sync. I set the nvidia panel to force v-sync, but it had no effect.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

I disagree with statement professional harder than superstar.More realistic - maybe. On professional i can just dominate cpu even with underdog, while superstar give me much more problems in attack, also on superstar cpu much more clinical on final shot.

All in all i find cpu momentum is toned down compared to previous games resulting in game being easier in general vs cpu.

I used 1 bar assist mate.

Why you relate this when we speak about CPU difficulty is beyond me. CPU plays the same regarding of your control settings.

Just turn your gamepad upside down while you are playing on professional. Then professional will be harder then superstar for sure! As long as you do not adapt to play with gamepad upside down…

I despair with this game. I play mostly mlo which is now virtually unplayable due to extreme lag during every match. Also there are so many bugs in this game, it's even crashed on me a few times and had many disconnections.
The kick off bug is a problem, the corner bug is a problem. Pressing pass and nothing happening is a problem. Having a player kick the ball when you haven't pressed a button is a problem.
There are also a few little ai issues in the game but I could tolerate this if the game speed didn't keep changing.
The lag is really depressing, it's not enjoyable for me to play this. I'm actually pretty disgusted how this game got to be released in an unplayable state, especially as the few times it's been lag free it actually plays well and has so much potential but I can honestly say the game is not finished.
It's enough to put me off gaming for life as pes is really the only ps3 game I play.
I will be contacting konami soon to see what they have to say but in the meantime I feel like rallying with everyone else who is as sick of this as I am, if enough people complain maybe they will fix their servers or patch the thing, whatever

Why is this game so laggy? I can't even play the game.

CPU: Haswell i7 3.2 ghz
Gfx: 560ti
RAM: 16GB
OS: Win7 ultimate

Are people having troubles with Windows7?
bro it's your setup, the game is buttery smooth at 60 fps, check ur driver and stuff, the game has only input lag problem can be fixed by enabling v-sync in control panel, maybe ur tv is 120 hrz, could be, my screen is 60hrz refresh rate, u should check ur setup.

guys have anyone tried the HD nets at pes-patch? i installed them but from far they look like pes 6 nets, with jagginess but up close they look very good.
2-the keepers oh my god, on low inside the area shots, they are awful...(playing on top player)

I'm losing interest in PES already..so badly want to like it, was really enjoying it a few days ago aswell

Just finding it hard to appreciate it now FFS

I'm exactly the same. I hated it, then I started enjoying it but now I can't even manage to force myself to complete a single match. The game feels so clumsy it is horrible. Players just crashing into each other and the amount of times I have ended bashing the shoot button to clear the ball while my players just stand there and leave the cpu with a tap in is crazy. I wish I had held out for the PC demo or even tried the game another way before wasting my cash :(

They do look awful from far away.

@Adam_Bhatti News of patch 1.02 and DLC 2.0? When ? 7 of October? 15? Thanks to communicate.#PES2014PC

Adam Bhatti ‏@Adam_Bhatti 16h
@Gigis71OM at a guess November

Konami has no sense of shame.

For years they bring us unfinished and badly broken games lacking latest transfers, game modes and bug fixes. just wow, fucking wow.

Hm, not happy to hear this.
I'll download the FIFA14 demo next days, it's old engine, but I've read some tests and all say its fine anyway.
I'll look how it feels and maybe I buy FIFA14 then, have buyed PES2014 yeah, it's sad, but what should I do...

I'm outta here.

Re: PES 2014 discussion thread (NO PIRACY TALK, YOU WILL GET BANNED!)

Interestly just noticed that pes 14 only seems to use 1 core, it actually maxes out a single core of my I7....

konami need to learn something about efficiency

Not true in my case ... legit 1.01 .exe is happily forcing all the four cores of my i7 singing. Checked while playing in windowed mode. All four cores running approx. at 10-20% during regular gameplay, and up to 50% during replays.

Don't know about the other .exe files - maybe the problem really existed in 1.00 and 1.01 fixed it; maybe the problem still exists in .exe files released by so called 'security experts'?

I think in future it's best not to buy PES until December at the earliest. That way the game will have received one or two patches and the modders have had enough time to work on the game.

Buying PES on day one is making less sense with each passing year.

PES2014 has so many issues that it needs multiple patches and requires them ASAP. Much of the player base will abandon PES by November because of the issues.

It's not good enough at all.

Honestly, I'm enjoying the game and although there are obviously things that make it less than a perfect game, it is still very enjoyable for me. If everybody decided not to buy the game until December, there likely wouldn't be another game, as the first week/s of sales are vitally important in order to ensure it's economically viable to start working on another product.

Also, without people actually playing the game on release, that would simply mean they would not start creating patch fixes until people start playing it in December and that would just delay the whole process a few months.

My only concern is, I think Konami need to make a serious decision on what they want the product to be. As at the moment they are not committing enough in order to release a large scale, polished commercial product. I think they may be better off going down the Greenlight/Minecraft approach. So releasing the game as they develop it to people who have pre-purchased, then confirming when a final product is released. Then the core audience who wants to play as soon as possible can play it in this current 'unfinished' state. The people who only wish to own a finished, perfect (perception of course), product can only buy once it's release version 1.0

The problem is of course, that this is an approach taken by 'Indie' companies and by using it, Konami my be tarnished in the eyes of some (specifically investors and such).

Konami certainly don't seem to have a bottomless pit of money, every year especially last year with bootgate and the poor offline modes, there seems to be more and more pressure from head office to meet deadlines despite flaws in the game at release. The crap offline modes in PES 2013 seemed like a head office decision to try and shift gamers to use the online part of the game more.

All the people who always work or have worked, especially in commercial companies know the pressure managers and those from the top of the company put on their workers. Times are tough economically, these people might not give and probably don't give a dam about the quality of the product and care only about meeting their profit margins.

What Konami need to do next year and the year after is not try any new radical things which take a long time to sort out, just tweak and refine this game until after PES 2016. Focus on adding things like rain, snow, injuries and physical effects to players, better animation physics, day and night engine, player personalties and a wider variety of animation.

Its going to take time anyway to explore the vast potential of the next gen consoles, they should aim for 2017 to make any racial changes from now.

Why Konami don't learn from their mistake??every single year they are giving unfinished game and charging full price...they are so lucky as they got fans like us who wait and hyped for the whole year to buy the unfinished game.

As a consumer you pay your money and expect a finished product. If I'm routinely getting an unfinished product I am less likely to buy it again.

Konami should be mindful of this. Their excuses, and the excuses people make for them, are increasingly becoming tiresome in my opinion.

Is it possible to edit de player psotitioning on the formation ? Why im not able to make a player play a little bit forward or to the left for example ?

Good day,

I've read about some issues in PES 2013 settings (XBOX360 controller couldn't get recognized, or some graphic cards) and the simpliest solution was to copy the settings.exe and giving them to a friend/receive it.

Now, is it in PES 2014 also possible?

Regards

I play with a gamepad and it is possible.
With digital stick, I just switch players, with analog stick, I can edit the position free. :)

Such a shame, after supporting Konami since ISS I've decided to quit. Enough is enough. Every year they make the same mistakes by giving with one hand and taking with the other. One year the speed merchants run the game, next year they decide to address the issue by creating a catchup bug. Next year the speed merchants will run riot again.
Always issues with the servers and cheating online. They lie about fixing the problem when it's as rife as ever. How they cant tell if someone has bottled their connection is beyond me!
This time they realise the game is not finished (on pc)thus don't provide a demo. They pushed to get this game out before FIFA even though they should have waited til December!
I feel robbed

I'll be checking out FIFA for the first time in my life - sad really...

Hi guys, I'm playing on PC with everything set to Basic/Assited but it seems defenders can't defend high ball well enough near the box, they cannot make a hard/high clearance by heading, or diving header.
Anyone experienced this and have some tips that could help me out please.

When defending, you need to be positioned to 'run on' to a ball to get any power on a header really, unless the ball is at pace when you head it (just as with attacking). It's noticed more on defence because on attack, most of the time they head when running towards goal. On defence, you are quite often static and 'holding a line' so the headers have less pace. Either super-cancel to position for a run before hitting shoot to clear, or accept that you'll need to immediately attack the area where the first clearance is headed (no pun intended).

Spot on mate....great post

Konami are clearly taking the piss and perhaps if people didn't buy the game on release it would make them sort this mess out

Waiting till November for patch? No one is going to play this game till then :/.

Sorry, but bugs/glitches and unfinished are screaming for patch here!

It's KONAMI fault for NOT testing the game fully before release, it's their FAULT WE STILL DIDN'T GET PC DEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET YOUR ASSES IN RIGHT PLACE PES TEAM. You're beyond joke now and stepping on very thin line with fans.

As others have said, this game really feels like an extended demo or tech preview.

For what it's worth, I am enjoying the gameplay despite the numerous flaws and omissions, but I can't shake the feeling that this game is rushed and unfinished.

The whole thing feels so hollow and empty which is a huge shame as the true potential of this game is abundantly clear.

I didn't think I'd say this, but I think Konami are showing less respect for the PC gamers than EA are. At least EA released a PC demo of their game, and have basically gave the same game to PC and 360/PS3. Whereas Konami have seen fit to not give the PC a demo, and to deny the PC version the ability to add chants in game to many different on pitch events.

Yes, I'm still annoyed at EA for not giving the PC the Ignite engine, but they have a reason - at least in their own heads, however much BS it is - for not doing so. What's Konami's excuse for the lack of a PC demo? For the lack of an ability to add chants in game like you can with the console version? EA haven't given us the same game as the PS4, but Konami have not even given us the same game as the 360/PS3 version!

You've missed the boat this year, Konami. The world is full of PC gamers pissed off at EA for not giving them the Ignite engine; this was the year to make sure everything about the PC version went without a hitch. Instead, we get no demo, an important feature from the console version is missing, and all reports indicate the console version is better than the PC version on the pitch as well.
