Agreed. i really fancies stepping away from basic this year but it's basically unplayable in both advanced and manual modes

manual shooting would be a joy because of the better tension and wheight of shots IMO whereas basic are i bit more floaty compared, I feel.

Shamely the finesse manual (+R2) is clearly broken and Konami did not fix yet even if widely mentioned early days ago.

The bolded really made me laugh my ass off. No joke bro! No licensed teams? Tons of licensed teams in the game. No balls? Am I playing with a pillow then? Animations far away from competition? You do realize this is one department where PES does better than its competition this year? Ketchup bug you say? Nope. Worse manual? Maybe worse to you because it still uses stats, which should make it even better? GK still make 2 hand saves? Do you want them to strictly do one handed saves only and be deemed unrealistic then? Is that better for you? Difficult dribble system? How about learn it instead of just skate around players? Shots floaty with no power? And you say you play manual? Yea, right.

And no one tell me I'm not objective and subjective and all that bs. The bolded is simply untrue and misleading and for that you are branded a troll.

I see you one more time in here trolling and you're banned.

I don't use manual since I play against casual PES players all the time and don't want to master two sets of controls. But I can see why those who already got used to it in 2013 wouldn't be happy about it being broken this year.

yeah, there's not really a problem with basic. throughout the series recently though it's been pretty easy to keep a shot on target. i find that error margin is more with the power than the direction so i was hoping that advanced shooting would almost be like somewhere in between manual and normal to give a bit more variation with shooting but unfortunately it's not.

I find defending very tough at the moment and dribbling of course. Last year was all about speed but this time it's very different. Can't beat a man with Ribery or Robben right now witch means back to the training ground.

Hopefully Konami will sort out the slowdowns (PS3) in the box soon. I take away some fun, i have to admit.

Main big disappointment is about the AI seems to be unable to build the gameplay in a more creative way.

Guys, also try setting compactness to high/max. Allows for much less space down the middle. That helped reducing through balls a lot for me.

You can mate but you just need to do it differently and know when and how to :) I kept doing it time and again with Hazard last night, dribbling and running past people. Fell in love with him!

Lami you are a decent guy, but i don't think Hazard feels the same way. May be flowers and chocolates? Or a movie, take it slow mate, don't rush in.:P

That sounds promising! I'm glad you need a little bit more skill this year to beat a man. Last year was really way to easy.

I know his parents...played football with his dad (well, to be more precise against him).
He has 3 younger brothers if you are interested and he and Thorgan have their football skills from mother Carine, who played for our national women team.

Want me to hand over a message ?

No for me. I just try to download the data pack again. Yesterday Adam Bhatty from Konami said it was because it was not release day by then.
Now it is, and although I did not really believed in his argument I keep trying today :)

When a goal kick is taken and the ball is booted upfield i get my defenders ready to head it, but they seem to want to chest it down instead.How do you get the players to head the ball in those situations.

I have this issue too. Seems when i went to clear it, the player chests then kicks instead of heading it. So i just go for passing instead as this gets the player to head the ball.

This game needs fixing still. I'm also having issues players being unresponsive at times. I understand if the ball is out of a player's sight, certainly not in some situations I've been in though.

Hey fellas iv noticed that when u press r1 while running and having a shot your more inclined to having a floaty shot but when you release R1 and just press shoot you get more power in shot, hope this helps for anyone having issues with floaty shots obviously stats play the part too. :-)

I get very effective headers using R2 + X

Konami now knows about it.
I am downloading the data pack for an hour now, going very slow ( 48% ) and I have a fast connection, so the server must be too slow for so many people downloading.

That should have read manual finesse is completely broken, my bad. The only way I can keep the finesse shot from ballooning over the bar is by tapping the shoot button incredibly faintly (below 10% of the power bar) and even then it's hit and miss. This surely can't be right for what should be a more controlled shot and normal manual shots are fantastic, so i'm not sure what to think.
