Makes me smile so much - I feel like my childhood is starting all over again.

39 here, my first game was peter beardsleys international soccer on the com 64 and then took off from there

Wow I am 34 and tbh always suspected that the older players prefer PES.

Very interesting Evo-webs fanbase is one Konami needs to keep in consideration...the kids will follow as long as you keep the connosieurs happy.

If Konami read this thread then they may create some special DLC for us all.

Maybe a classic Word Cup 1982 with greats such as Rossi, Tardelli, Rummenigge, Socrates, Zico and Eder.

what do you mean put it on 720p.. doesn't it do this automatically on ps3.. ie. it automatically picks up the resolution its supposed to be played at..???

Cmon guys, age is just a number, i`m 55 and well remember playing subbuteo in the 1960`s with my mates, we thought that was real football. I cant even imagine what we would have made of the football games on offer these days....Ive been playing PES from iss days, before that, goal and sensi..they were great too..i have to say, after 4 or 5 dud versions of pes, this one seems to be the dogs bollocks...cant wait to get online and play, bring it on!!!

Thats what I thought too actually mate? Hopefully im wrong though.

I just played the demo again (PS3 - camera default 0 / 10 / 0 & professional level) - Boca v Colo Colo and England v Italy and just love the midfield grind of the whole thing.

Reminds me so much of PES1 actually, struggling to score and even carving out a shooting chance isn't easy. In fact you have to have your wits about you to pick up any loose balls and let fly with a snapshot because it seems as if your not likely to create a bundle of chances in most games.

Im 36 going on 37 btw and finally after SWOS we get to change clubs in ML - joyous stuff!

I'm 21 and even I have played subbuteo! Mostly because of my brother as he's 10 years older than me but still, there was also this thing we used to play which was with a button as the ball and bottle caps as football players and matchstick boxes as the goalkeepers! Have played sensible soccer for the Amiga and Goal and I remember them vividly despite being only 5/6 at the time.

I am 39 and cannot believe we have had to wait this long to do what we used to be able to do all them years ago on SWOS on the Amiga

Not sure about getting sacked, but I'm pretty sure that Div 2, stays with whatever league it started with.

First football game i played was Soccer on Atari...

The mindblow arrived several years after when i saw on a trip in France, in a videogame store, there was a TV showing some match between Netherland vs France, Edgar Davids scored a goal to Barthez, i stayed perplexed watching the TV like for 3 minutes, only watching. I thought that it was some kind of prototype kind of gaming, something that it was too advanced for the time. But NO. I asked the seller man, what was this marvelous thing. It was the legendary Winning Eleven 4 for PSX. and i instantly bought it no matter, the price, no matter the language limitations. This was LOVE.

WHAT A GAME!
