I see there's less hysteria after a couple of days I haven't checked in here. That's good. I hope we can continue like this.


I'm still enjoying the game a lot. I play it on +1, but reading a lot of you say it should be played in -1 (on PS3 anyways) makes me wonder WTF is going on with me. So I'm gonna try that.

Also, I still haven't quite figured out how to take low shots, nor how does shifting weight works. R3? R1-L1?. I haven't seen any videos explaining this stuff.

Out of interest, does the difficulty level change the way your AI teammates play?

In the demo mine are brain dead half the time. They'll make a tackle, then I'll get auto-switched to a different player and they just stand there. On numerous occasions I've seen the ball literally hit them and they don't seem to realise they're on a football pitch playing the sport.

Busy at work so just a quick post:

In retail code are all replays still in slow motion? No idea why they did that. If anything I wanted a full speed replay with a button press enabling slower speed.

Also finding that you can't hit the corners of the goals that well with basic shooting.

Does anyone else find passing on 0 assist too slow? Even on full powered passes they don't seem as zippy as PES 2013 nor 3 bar PES 2014.

How are people finding the crossing? I think 95% of my crosses are intercepted by a defender. I did see one nice cross though where the ball went over the keepers head to the back post whereas in PES 2013 the keeper would have plucked it out the air magically.

Yesterday late night I downloaded WE2014 demo from my Hong Kong account.
I've played just 1 game, it's been the best game I've played, is actually possible that the WE code is different or it's me getting used with game mechanics?
I felt it more responsive and generally flowing better...
Looks like this year I'm particularly affected by placebo

Is it me but when you counter attack and whip in a cross - all your players go to the near post.
I end up having 3 players standing on the front post?

i dont understand why i seem to be the only one who has the shot keeper problem, im tempted to just edit the stats of every keeper in the game to try fix it

Then the "your game has been dispatched" on Wednesday.
The the game to arrive on Thursday.

Yes I have, from corners, on several occasion, I don't use L1 plus RS to select, I just put the ball inside the box and while it is in the air I then use L1+RS to select a player and move him in a position to give a good header, Balotelli was a beast. It doesn't happen often but if you get him right you will know you scored the goal before the ball even going it, as if the player connection with the ball was telepathic :D

Headers are a joy this year but also very difficult. You need good timing, good off-ball movement and ofc a player with great heading ability.
I've scored 4 or 5 goals with a header so far and one of them was a ground header by pressing the triangle button as soon as I let off the header/shoot button.

To hit ground shots or daisy cutters you need to shoot normal but as the player is about to hit the ball ie once you release square you press triangle and badaboom. Takes some practice but once you figure it out you will not stop using it. Btw this is on manual not sure if the same applies to basic or advanced shooting.

Also on the body wieght thing the left stick controls the direction of the players body the right stick controls the weight of his body and the ball is a free entity once you start seeing that in your head whilst you are dribbling magic happens. I am starting to do some frightening things with Iniesta he is fast agile and enough strenth no I mean balance atleast to break any defence. I tore Italy to shreds with him and Soldado lastnight

I played later again but I found I can't play this game when I am tired as the level of concentration needed is intense much like PES of years gone by. Italy had me on the ropes and I was 2-0 down in the 1st half.

A couple of questions about ML.

Is it possible to get sacked because of poor results or is it only if you run out of money or have less than 16 players?

And if you do get sacked, is it game over or do you get job offers?

Sorry if this has been asked already.

PS. I'm only 18 months old, my mum and dad wrote this for me. I look forward to playing PES 2024 on PS6 :P. Much respect for you older ones :COOL:

xBOX 360 OR PS3


I've got a ps3 and swapped from Xbox last year as the editing capabilities were better on pes2013.

Some are saying the full game runs better on Xbox and now the editing has changed I just want to play the game on the best system.

Any info would be appreciated
