Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

My only problem with the demo, besides the game plan cursor lag is when players over run for a through ball forcing me to track back.

Can anyone tell me if this has been addressed for the 360 retail version?

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Fell asleep while checking players in edit mode only to wake up with one sock on. Damn it, Konami!

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I'm so confused which version is the best to get, PS3 or 360. Some say 360 has better graphics and the retail version is smoother than PS3 too.

Just don't know. I can't get my hands on the 360 demo to see until Thursday as I don't have XBL Gold anymore.

I've played both demos and I thought the 360 version played far superior to the PS3. I want to get the PS3 retail version but I'll probably end up getting it for the 360 'cause I'm just so worried about the differences.

That's just my opinion from the two demo versions, so hopefully we'll hear more about possible differences in the retail versions soon.

Remember also that the PS3 version is easier on OFs

What's everyone's thoughts on the most balanced difficulty level? The AI seem to be a bit too quick to close you down on Top Player.

I'd be interested to hear how it plays superior? Are the graphics a lot sharper and smoother too?

I'm also tempted by the PS3 version because of option files, I can also easily create great looking kits myself whereas 360 forces you to draw them in-game, which looks far worse.

I play on superstar and the computer will accelerate and run faster than Walcott with players 20 points slower. A lot of time my A.I will not respond to rebounds or through balls as the CPU player 10 meters behind does.

Here I am, 43 years old, playing the best simulation of football I have ever played (and coming from Emlyn Hughes on my cbm64, that have been a lot).

Here I am, 60 years old and still PES 2014 is the best of them all, although I also loved the pre-PES ISS series.
From the older computers I also loved Goal! and Sensible world of soccer!:SMUG:

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Just finished a World Cup match France(me) Vs Cameroon. 20mins, Top Player, lost 1-2. Both Gk's were phenomenal and always parried the ball far left or right to the corners.
20mins are great so far but it is really exhausting.
Off-ball movement in set pieces (free kicks, corners) is in this year also: LB+RS to activate and RS to switch between players-targets.

what platform? X or PS3

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Yep, LB (L1) and right stick to select players (when defending) or select players to make an off the ball run (when attacking) is sublime. You can bypass tons of players and choose a defender miles away from the ball. When defending you can choose a CB who's miles away then press the ball carrier with square (x). You can then do this while holding position at the back with your player you are in control of. This forces the AI to play the ball around more and vastly discourages it from playing through balls because you are already controlling someone in defence, watching for those through passes.

When you then step up and intercept the ball with your CB you feel like a master defender. It's great.

Hey guys I've lurked this forum for a couple of years now but only now have I decided to join.

As for my first request as an official member could someone with the retail version could post a screencap of Mario Gomez, as for the reason it's because I use his hair when I edit some of the players' faces, would be greatly appreciated :)

Your one of the elitist group, who see things others don't. ;0)
And It doesn't surprise you played at a decent level. What' you know and fully understand technically about the Beautiful Game and Konami's endeavour to achieve the PES Nirvana.

Others think they know, they don't . A worthless yet honest opinion.

I play on top player mostly, but the balance for me in the demo is somewhere between professional and top player. Like you say, on top player the AI is a little too zealous and incessant, and on pro it's a little too easy to break the AI down. Not sure what the final game will be like though.
