I couldn't agree more Klashman. I do not wish to portray it as a generalized age related issue but there seems to be more of an instant gratification culture.
I rather like looking into the nuances of the game and being surprised by it over a few months and trying to master it.
Granted I do not have the time that I used to with family and work taking precedence, but I will still try and learn how to play it to the best of the games ability.
Undoubtedly there will be flaws. No game is perfect. No game can recreate the randomness of a football match.
The computing power to do that in a home PC as in creating individual AI for each player in a fully contextual fashion to other factors is not available as yet.
I have seen some flaws but I like where Konami are going and realize it's the first season with the new engine going gold and that it can be the basis of a very solid game which they to borrow from their own marketing speak , evolve each year.
However most of the time the complaining as on a certain forum reminds me of little kids denied a treat they think they are entitled to.
When you streaming again Bitter? had to go earlier what you think of the full game.
As someone going into the full retail game without having played a demo at all - something that I haven't experienced for years - this is going to be interesting for me.
All I can compare with is PES2013.
Perhaps this is the way to do it? No demo, as per the old days. Ignorance is bliss sometimes.
Later tonight.
Will let you know. I think I preferred demo 1 version of it
Yes fair enough.
Believe me i'm not saying that the leaked demo was perfect im just trying to say that they are going at it the wrong way.
I enjoy the demo but it is just frustrating that konami every years seem to panic whenever release comes and they mess with things that aren't broken in order to fix issues but to a much lesser extent.
There has to be something wrong when the past few years I enjoyed the unfinished versions more than the proposedly more finished versions
I mean goalies are horrible for nearly 4 years, to me it's like give it up already and focus on other things konami, you're never going to get it apparently![]()
Let me tell you something: Internet ruined PES/WE. That's it.
Back in the day, you got the game and that was it, you had nothing else to do more than playing it and get used to it. Either loved it or hated it, but that was all you got. Nowadays it's like "oh let's see what other people can plant into my own mind to make me stop enjoying".
Wise words. Unless they turn it into FIFA air gliding style, I bet we'll love it.
Sad to hear thatDoes everyone that played the first demo have the same sentiment?
you'll need to try playing with the same variables as the same demo. Same teams, same stadium, same difficulty.
My brother who has played the PS3 retail version called me a few hours ago to talk about PES.
He also mentioned the fact that Manual shooting is broken int he retail version. As soon as you engage the control shot feature, no matter how much you fill the power gauge, the resulting shot will balloon over as if you used full power. ALSO, the aim seems to always be locked diagonally right-down. Meaning if you are positioned in the middle of the opponents half and take a control shot, it will hit the corner flag.
Non-control shots are aimed and powered normally, also movement is completely normal, so there is no general problem from the controller input. The game seems broken here.
Hopefully this is something addressed in the day 1 patch, otherwise manual shooting is broken.
Reminds me of the FIFA bug some years ago where you could blast supershots straight from kickoff and score easy goals. Sloppy Konami.

The best PES games back in the day where usually not great at first or rather meh or bad at first barbecue it was hard and too time to master.

yeah and it also helped create such a great game as well with all the mods / edits back in the day on PS2
I've already said that to my self and on the forums more than once, I wish I went back to the days when you wouldn't know anything about the game development until the point you bought the game and played it.
Correct manual shooting is indeed fooked...

I don't know where all of this is coming from, but I surely don't agree.
PES 2014 final game feels the same as PES 2014 official Demo and leaked Demo. The only difference is that the final game feels more responsive, smoother and the catch-up bug has been toned down A LITTLE (not completely).
People start to think "oh the full game can be so different from this amazing demo" so early that once they get the full game they are convinced that it's different.
Let me tell you something: Internet ruined PES/WE. That's it.

Do you have any hope of it being fixed?
@_anderson
First demo reminded me to PES5, this now is nothing like it![]()
I have no idea, but you have no control over manual shooting.
I like the power of it etc, but you cannot place shots.
so guys who played it say retail version is worse than demo?
who is responsible for that? wenb and adam?
i really liked e3 clips and some gamescom ones.
