Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

OK guys! Finally at home, time to put my hands for the first time on this beauty.

But before i start playing my first ML, i know all of you are anxious for some anwers, so i will check some of your questions and respond right here, by photos or words.

So, ask me by quoting my nickname, so i will know.

I'll be delighted to answer

How is the pace of the game compared to the official demo?

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

@Deluxe

Could you possibly tell us are japan licensed? as i know few people are curious

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I've seen a lot of controversy about previews PES, but somehow I feel there are sort of more "polarized" views about PES 2014. It's probably just me... I guess...

In my opinion, and despite some flaws, this is the best football game I've ever played (I'm 37). With just a few matches, I was a little bit skeptical, but once you get to play more and you get the hang of it,it's just great.

I'm probably taking too far, but I definitively think this game is the closest to the way I actually play football myself. I'm not much of a "direct-oriented" type of player... I rather like to carefully build up "game play" and keep the ball until a clear chance opens up.

I'm just soooooo looking forward to trying the next gen PES!

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

At first I liked almost everything, so yeah, anyone can see that the potential that this game has is immense.

But now...

First of all, the slow motion moments alone make this demo just as bad (in terms of progarmming, bugs and etc) as the first demo. It shouldn't be release, that completelu kills the whole flow of the game.

And the more I play, the more I dislike with some of those very slow reactions.

Which demo are you playing. The US one is like 'Gamescom' code and the UK/Europe/Japan WE ones are more release code.

US is 1.3GB and has some issues with framerate, laggy in matches, lots of bad responsiveness issues, some functions don't work well like dynamic 1/2.

The Other demos are 1.8 and 2.1 GB. Bar the odd Responsiveness hiccup and slowdown in the penalty area are beautiful.

I've playing playing as Spain against France only, on top player and manual passing, and it's been a bad experience. You can see that there's still some of the old dna of Pes 2012 and 2013 in terms of CPU AI.

I wouldn't use manual on top player vs the CPU. Nah, use 2/3 bars, maybe one bar if comfortable enough. I think manual is always best to use vs Human opponents, vs the CPU its too unbalanced, they have too much of an advantage.

I think we need to see a little more from PES 2013 AI in this game, so the fullbacks stop just madly marking the oncoming runner, playing everyone on and more responsiveness and team urgency in the box. I think it's there, but some responsiveness issues are getting in the way.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

OK

First of all the first thing i noticed: There's no any ONLINE menu...DLC?

Arsenal lineup with overall ratings, please :))

FDB, delete that quote bro!

What was Arsenal fake name? :P

deluxe catchup bug down wings still there?

For now i will answer menu, features question only. This question requires more time with the game i think.

How is the pace of the game compared to the official demo?

Give me more time with it...;)

@Deluxe

OMG They are unlicensed. Shocking news :CONFUSE:

Deluxe, check out the Edit Mode please.

What you want to know?

@deluxe check the goalmouth action do players become unresponsive and can you head a ball?

Can you score directly from corners?

Gameplay questions i will answer after few games. ;)

The thing about the stadia... it's not just that they took out loads of generics, it's that they took out the more individual-looking ones and left in loads that look just the same.

There are loads of "closed square" style stadia left in there (especially now the Konami Stadium has been rebuilt as one of these), so you'll have no problem playing as Bundesliga teams, or all those Eastern European CL/Europa League sides who aren't in the game any more... unfortunately, there are no longer any single bowl-type stadia with open stands and/or a running track, which means it'll be impossible to play Serie A with any realism, because so many Italian teams play in grounds that look like that. There are also no "open square" grounds at all now, which will make Premiership (and, to an extent Ligue 1) look a bit shit. I mean, this is ludicrous.

Most insanely, Konami have added three South American leagues but removed the stadia which look vaguely South American (eg Amazonas, Ville de Marie or whatever it was called). So all those Chilean sides will be playing in Royal London Stadium, right?

(Speaking of which, what's the point of that stadium exactly? It's bigger than any real-life football stadium anywhere in the world, but other than that it looks exactly like about three others which are already in the game. What does it do that Wembley doesn't, exactly?)

I know stadia aren't the most important thing, blah blah blah (I really shouldn't have to point that out, but there's always one), but as a real-life stadium nerd and an ex-stadium maker back in the good old days of PS2 patching, this makes me really pissed off. If they genuinely didn't have time to finish them, then a 10-stadia DLC before Christmas is the least we should expect. I'm not on Twitter myself - can people please start hammering Bhatti over this? We need DLC of basic generic stadia at least. There's very very little variety there.

Enjoying the demo, though. I can sense a few big problems with the gameplay slowly rumbling towards me over the prairie, out of a clear blue sky, but... for now I'm mostly loving it.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

OK
What was Arsenal fake name? :P
North London (Actually true, as there's no other club that deserves that name :BOP:)
This pic is too much for me. I would call it +18.

I will never understand why people ask for player stats when they ask questions of people who have the game early.

Its wierd!
I don't know what else to ask right now lol. The guy just got the game, it's not fair to ask him about i.e ML details.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

So, with Konami going on about 'Heart' and Engineered with Emotion', have they finally included away fans' chants in the game, or is it the same as every PES since 2008 in that you can only hear the home fans chanting? No away chants will give every game a 'friendly' atmosphere, especially in the Premiership.

To be honest, I don't think you'd want to hear two sets of Konami's "chants." :SMUG:

But yes, I agree.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

@Deluxe, Thanks for that, its odd seeing them without a license, Lucky we have talented patcher's so hopefully the license won't take too long.

Enjoy the game you lucky man.

Big +1 to this.

Yeah, Konami's chants are rubbish, but the fan made chant packs are not. Trouble is if there are only one set of fans chanting, the chant packs can't do a thing about that.

@Deluxe - any sign of ML/BAL improvements, as well as my question about away fans chanting? I know you're busy playing; I would as well, but if you get a few moments to reply that would be great. ;)

Have fun!

Wonderful. So that's any Premiership feel out of the window.
