Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Konami have made a big deal over the South American leagues and the AFC Champions League while a good number of other licences have quietly left via the back door.

Next year Konami need to focus on what they can do with licences, which ones can they get back?

Lot's of Rest of the World Clubs have been brought up by EA or prevented due to tying these teams down to their official leagues, they need to look into this, find a good solution.

Try add another 3 European leagues, add Ukraine, Turkish and Greek leagues, maybe Russia if its available.

They need to call a meeting with Barcelona, Madrid, Valenica, Atletico regarding their exclusive contract nonsense with EA, If they have the La Liga licence, they should have rights to use stadiums which are used in that League, agree to share the rights. Try convince these teams to drop this nonsense. Its crap, done purely out of spite by EA

The Premier League, Bundersliga what can be done there?

National teams seem to be asking for too much money for their teams to be ingame.

This should be a big focus next year, Konami have worked their asses off on gameplay, its in a good place now, it should be able the whole football experience now.

Hey deluxe anything different in master league online

No Online options yet in any mode. :(

And now with your blessing guys i'm gonna take a doze of matches starting a ML. See you tomorrow with more impressions.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I've really got the feeling that this PES is going to sell by the bucketload, which is only going to be a positive thing for the future (licenses) - I hope.

EA are using dirty tactics, bet they got Japan NT on exclusive, rub salt in Konami's wounds or what....

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

"No responsiveness issues or lag issues, it feels sharper and tighter then the demo. This game has the feel of playomg PES like the PS2 days, puts you in deep concentration, keeps you on the edge of your seat and it's so dam fun."

THIS COMING from a man who has the full game and posted the RMadrid v Barca game on YT.

:WORSHIP: Appreciate it!

Adam shouldn't be 84, more like 78 at best and Miller should be lower and Rhodes higher, Gilks shouldn't be better than mcgregor but not all that bad all in. the others look ok for now.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Some people will never be satisfied no matter how good the game is. To me its all about gameplay and thats what counts...not how bale looks...what licenses Konami lost and what stadiums are missing. And if one or two people say this game is garbage..fine...id rather listen to 1000 people say its great then one or two noobs saying its trash...the game is the best pes to date. Theres a reason why everyone is blown away. And some of people definitely suffer from placebo effect.

So I'm a noob because I dont like it, fuck sake this site..

Ok guys this is going to be a bit of a downer post and is about master league.

I'm sorry guys but it seems that the whole mode has been striped down to shreads. No manager creator, no staff roles(coach, scout etc) very, very basic training options, probably worse load times and literally 0 depth. I'm seriously wondering why anyone would be able to play in it long enough to change club. You might aswell be playing league mode with transfers. Then there's the transfer money issue we had a couple of years ago when top players were going for little money. I bought alexia Sanchez for 10 million and sold Ashley young for 10 etc that same crap we had a couple of years ago which I expect konami to patch probably day 1. Anyway there is no separate manager section to look at your individual records or how your teams have done or how highly rated you are or agents or anything. It's as barebones as a mode can be. In a year where we have seen great depth in fifa's career mode I really hoped konami would have made this a hidden gem but unfortunately they have instead brought in stuff and taken all substance away.

Btw this has nothing to do with gameplay as my feelings on that are positive. But it's a huge downer playing this mode which is really the blandest manager mode I've played .

You don't like PES 2014, we get it. Do I think anyone is less of a person/"gamer" for preferring one game over another? Of course not, that would be silly. With that said, it does seems like you've been fishing for confrontation in order to go, "See, see? This place is the worst!" And no, it's not "this site." It's a select few individuals.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I'm sorry for using the word noob but when someone says the game is total garbage...either they are secretly a fifa fan boy and realised konami just stomped all over ea/fifa or they need more time with the game. Anyone that thinks that its "total garbage" needs their eyes checked

Thats fair enough then mate, I know the game isnt garbage, I can see what Konami are trying to do, I just prefer the enemy at the moment, I always end up buying PES anyway and will when they release the online team play mode as thats really the only mode I play on FIFA anyway.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Guys a short impression.

I'm playing a Libertadores Cup, and on the first match i inmediatly noticed several times when the ball just cross the goal kick line, a little stutter happen, then the referee's whistle sounds, it's like a micro pause, and then the ball goes on to the bottom of the stadium. Aldo happens when a there's a goal or half or full time whistle sounds.

Is like the game stop in this microsecond to load the whistle sound file and it quit continuity to the game, it bothers a lot!

I remember that this same problem happened on a PES version in PS2.

I don't know if is just me but if someone get that, could write it in proper english to report it to Adam?

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

So you prefer FIFA 14 over PES 14 that's what your saying ?

And it wasn't you that said the game was total garbage. It was some other dude from Brazil. I guess it sucks that these Brazilians wont be able to do cutbacks and run run with ronaldo and messi to score. Online will be fun this year. I swear Im not trying to steer the pot here but Im in US ans 99% of South americans play one style of game...run with messi or ronaldo and do cut backs...no creativity whatsoever. I am glad Konami are doing this and weeding out these folks. Another guy that has WE14 Japanese version says these cutbacks are done and other repetitive ways of scoring a goal.

If you like to play build up game...creative...score different goals then yes PES14 is the game for you.

If you wanna run and gun and score same goal over and over again Im afraid your gonna think its "total garbage"

Yeah I prefer FIFA mate, Yeah you get them type of players on FIFA too, im in a fully manual club and we try to play properly but its hard as there are no manual filters on it, hopefully Konami will add a filter to there version of that mode, The manual passing on pes in amazing, loads better than FIFA.

Okay, i believe that's far enough. That statement won't do any favour to any party.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Well then I will be honest with you too. this is pes 14 thread...if you like fifa and prefer fifa its going to be hard to satisfy you....simply quit playing pes focus on fifa and problem solved.

Im here because im seeing what people with the full game are saying about it and if theres a difference from the demo.
I will never quit playing pro evo ever, i played everyone since Ince and ravanelli were on the cover.

I honestly think, cut back is an example of creativity.. it is just a matter of developer challenge in order to compromise the possibility of its overuse through other part of gameplay, such as defensive options.. etc.

Even in PS2 days, I remember being battered down by my cut back whores mate but i was also known as a loser at cut-backs attacking play :BRICK:

:OT:

Sorry mate, but you're being a dick here! :TTTH:

Let the guy alone.... he said that he likes FIFA more so what.... he is here to get some feedback from "us".... and if the feedback is good, maybe that will make him buy the PES this year..... We all wan't FIFA players to switch team.... that will help Konami's sales..... I'm a PES player.... but I'm also on some FIFA forums..... just to see how the game is doing, cause if EA finaly make a good game, I wan't to buy it(Well not really, EA sucks) :COAT:

Like I said some people will never be satisfied. Im afraid to say but the day where gameplay used to be #1 priority are over. This is because players that used to value PEs for its gameplay are long gone...got older...married who knows...

I Dont understand whats the fascination with stat screenshots, licenses , how many bokts we have...commentary etc..since PES existance we knew Konami lacked licemses etc so its nothing new. Remember when you only had few licenses and the game was bomb...

I'm one of those older players and I'm still here, as are many others who have been playing Konami football games for a decade or two.

Gameplay is the number one priority for me but you have to understand that gaming has changed massively over the past few years. To take the extreme example, if Konami tried to sell PES these days as a completely unlicensed product it would fail dismally.

Licences sell games (unfortunately) which brings higher sales and more money to make better games. In the sports game genre it really is that simple.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I hate all this nonsense, to be honest. It's hilarious.

"Oh no. In the new PES, the grass is pink in every stadium..."

"OMG don't you understand, gameplay is all that matters, go play FIFA you loser"

"Oh no. The new PES has the severed head of a medieval peasant instead of a ball. What the fuck?"

"Noob."

This weird, ascetic attitude has been around for years. I've never understood it. Why shouldn't we have nice things?

We should, of course, and it's really beyond me why Konami year after year fail to address the issues at hand. I've been playing the ISS/PES series since ISS 98, and every year, whenever there's a release, there are always the same questions being raised, and I just can't for the life of me understand why or even how Konami manages to avoid noticing.

- provide a bloody structure which would allow us to create say the Premiership, the Championship, League 1, League 2, Serie A, Serie B, Champions League etc (SWOS, basically) - they could call it FLABBERGAST LEAGUE, DOFUS LEAGUE 2, DOFUS LEAGUE 3 or whatever, for all I care, as long as they'd;
- provide an extensive edit mode, where every single aspect of every team could be edited.

Imagine what a game we could've had on our hands. The joint effort of this community would create tons of fantastic patches in no time at all, and Konami wouldn't have to worry about licensing or even thinking about that sort of stuff, the playing community would provide that, JUST GIVE US THE DAMN STRUCTURE AND EDITING POSSIBILITIES.

It's been the cry for some years now, though, and it's just not happening. Why, I have no idea. Take that to Adam Bhatti or whatever and have him ask Konami that, and ask them to provide a logical answer. I can't see it. If you'd think Konami would lose money because people would just stick to the super-edited game of last year, well, duh, of course not, because the gameplay of the latest edition would hopefully be a big improvement, as the development team could focus entirely on the gameplay aspect of the game.

Two simple things;
- structure
- extensive edit mode

Not gonna happen. It's one of life's big mysteries.
