Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

At least you have your team. They lost Fenerbahce this year.I am not sure about buying the game at this moment even though ı love gameplay..
Do you not get it on PC? If so you should and download a patch! ;))

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Is it just me or does Nani not run correctly in this demo he seems odd?

I honestly didn't notice but he's one of my favourites in the demo. But I noticed Ronaldo running strange once, he had is arms pretty wide.

Pogba looks like Pogba in the game, as do Lahm and Pirlo. Some players' physiques are perfect, these three in particular, so well done to Konami for that.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

i need your help guys.

I want to download the demo of pes 2014 EU & WE 2014 for ps3. I need the pkg files to download them on pc.

Thanks

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Controlled shots are shit. On manual it goes really high all the time. Unless you press very quickly then if you are lucky you get something that looks more like a weak lob. At least in the training mode. We need to be able to hit hard inside of the boot shots too. Sometimes I wonder if Konami even watch football games in real life.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

The Winning Eleven demo is definitely faster. It's like it's +1 on speed. Not sure if there is any other difference, but will find out tonight. Working the night shift at an institution where there is very little happening at night, so I'm basically getting paid to play PES, with my boss's blessing, I might add. :D

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Hate manual celebrations.
Pointless.
If they import that,i will never get through that.

PS: Really dont see point of removing generic stadiums...
We dont have even one close stadium to some example Italian stadiums :/

GOD,stadium creator,is needed most than ever!

The freedom of being able to celebrate after a goal should atleast me an option.. would love to go that step further than fifa, and be able to run around a running track with the subs etc..big how you going I guess

that's really odd that you say that... I think WE version is the slowest of the lot...

I haven't looked into it, but it could be a night vs day thing what someone mentioned before, or dependant on what team is used...

The Australian version is sweet.. quicker than the WE version, and maybe a bit quicker than the US one...

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

One thing I hate the most about both Konami and EA is the way (9 times out of 10) the overall ratings of a player are based on the team he plays for. Marchetti is leagues above Sirigu yet the latter has the higher overall simply because he plays for PSG. Sirigu, IMO, should be 77-78 at most and I still can't understand why PSG bought him. He was amongst the worst goalkeepers in the Serie A when they bought him. Meanwhile Marchetti is amongst the top 5-10 goalkeepers in the world IMO. He's been the best in Serie A the past two seasons. Buffon is another example, years go by but his overall remains unchanged. He is not a 96 overall anymore. I just wish the overalls were a bit more realistic.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

One thing that is starting to bug me is the way all players willingly pass with their weaker foot. I could understand if a player was under pressure but it's not like that.

Stuff like this I address before I play a game on the full game.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Catch-up is there and needs to be fixing..There are some other minor issues here and there but overall gameplay is another level this year..

Yeah, I'm on manual to. Hope it's a bug because this is just stupid. Or, are you supposed to hit triangle after shoot?

I tried triangle after controlled shot but it didn't seem to matter to me. Normal shots work fine with triangle for me.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

I also don't understand why they've restricted the positioning of full backs.

Yup. Valencia for example!

Standing tackles must result in many more freekicks. One of the biggest fears I have that this will be the same in full game. CPU keeps missing the ball and kicking my leg to get the ball and no foul. Nimble feet gets you no advantage, all you have to do as a defender is rush in kicking legs.

And... yup. Like others have said, foul frequency has been poor since PES 5 or so. I remember the PES 2011 or 2012 demo having a lot of standing tackle fouls, but they dialed it back for the retail version due to complaints. What's the point of wriggling past a defender if he can just flatten me without consequence due to the collision system?

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Don't think you can compare 22 players on the pitch with all the AI and physics and animations and everything that happens on the pitch plus the graphics and the stadiums and the crowd and etc etc with uncharted or the like.

Maybe 2K but then again that's less than half the people playing.

All my guess here.

EDIT:

_anderson beat me and looks like he knows what he's talking about

This guy as well :)

Anyhow, game looks shit on PS3..

Pros are AI, physics, keepers, referees, but with these PS3 graphics, performace problems and input dealys I feel like every year after pes6.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Thousands of animation and advanced physics rendered per second, take into consideration it is 22++ moving objects with it's unique AI at the same time, that's double or triple your average first person shooter / action game.

In action / fps / adventure genre, there's bag of trick to maintain stable frame rate. Particularly draw distance, level of detail and texture compression. Think like you're in a small box, everything is rendered on limited radius, with post-processing effect to mask the lo-fi texture. While in sports genre, you can't quite do the same because everything is projected at the same time.

Sony and Naughty Dog titles, being an in-house production for Sony Computer Entertainment will always better optimized because it is build specifically for PS3. The same can be said for Xbox exclusive as well (Forza, Halo, GoW).

Like i said before, it's not just about graphic fidelity when it comes to processing power and consumption.

More details,http://www.azillionmonkeys.com/qed/optimize.html

True, the amount going on is greater, that's a fair point. The graphics are what they are, I'll need to wait for next-gen methinks.

Oh well, regardless of that, it seems to be a great game. I need to get used to the way everything feels but I think once game speed can be reduced then that might add a touch more weight to everything.

One note about keepers, so far they seem great. No glaring errors so far and some smart saves. Also, heading is awesome, my first goal on this game was a chipped cross from the byline (I pulled up and away from the direction I was crossing to lift a pulled-back cross) and Muller cushioned a downward header into the ground and into the net. Really nice mechanics there.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

Kits get dirty on dry pitches too.
And hanakuka yes, I have noticed dirty patches on shorts.

Re: PES 2014 Discussion Thread (NO FIFA DEMO TALK IN HERE!)

The Winning Eleven demo is much smoother then the US i tried. Replays are smooth, no frame rate drop, no players slow downs, just perfect. If you can try it do it. It has ENG menus and japan commentary. I loved it

I know everyone hates this talk, but it's actually more than likely that the japanese build is newer than the other two.

Would be nice if someone extracted the three so we could check build dates.

The PES 2014 Demo 1.8GB - The Winning Eleven demo 2.1Gb i think its different yes
