I've personally loved the introduction of cards (minus speed merchant). I always look for cheap players with cards on MLO at the start, you can get some gems with the previous pinpoint pass card for peanuts, so I'll be looking out for one of those to go with my hard man enforcer/anochorman, probably Arevalo Rios again!

Agreed, this, +1,amen etc

think about it mate!

What's there to think about?

They are special abilities and are properly explained as to what they do in-game for years and years now. They make these players unique.

Seriously again do you have any idea what you're on about or are you just trolling in here, again?

i havent played it so can only comment on what i see but that last goal what are the defenders doing passing it along the back when there are 2 strikers close by, then the defender who receives the ball has an awful touch and instead of making amends and closing the striker down he runs off leaving the other defender on his own, falls for a soft dummy and then when the shot comes in it looks like previous versions where the keeper doesnt stretch out fully

i'm trying to put across why they don't make sense. no one is yet to refute what i have put forward

what is the logic behind using a binary stat (a magic spell)? "hey, you have 99 passing accuracy, 99 technique, 99 body balance, BUT your first-touch passing kinda sucks compared to this mid-80s guy because he has the magic card applied"

and its even worse when talking about the development of players. so after 8 seasons of developing a player in master league, there is a *poof* moment in which your player can suddenly play good first-touch passes?

again, completely unnatural and really its just a shortcut. these skills should be able to develop naturally like any other

edit: and if you disagree, please tell me your reasons instead of just calling me a troll. peace

Calling you a troll for a very good reason that you perfectly know of.

These cards don't just poof, you need to train your players before they get any of these special abilities.

One of these cards for example is to allow an AI player to shoot from distance like real life counterpart, or another card who's player always looking for that loose ball in the box i.e. Inzaghi, or another one like the talisman, or another card that makes an AI player do certain skills like real life counterpart. Another that makes a GK better at 1-1s too.

No one's replying to you because they're not too bothered. If you bother to read the very elaborate explanations of each card you'd know exactly what they do, instead of being on here kicking up a fuss out of nothing.

Do us a favor and read.

Quite ironic calling peace when you're doing the opposite.

Konami should try and get the License for transfer deadline day and get it implemented into ML! Would be great seeing late deals go through.

Plus, just imagine how that Natalie Sawyer would be portrayed on the Fox Engine :BOP:

You havent put anything forward.

You go around trying to undermined peoples opinions. The problems (as you see it) you have with player abilities is the foundation of pes. Its always been there albeit modified through the years. Also ml players dont magically learn a trait overnight the must be trained into there roles if they dont have it naturally. The other stats also come into consideration.

If you dont like it theres other games that dont take stats into consideration feel free to pre order it here

Bitter we had a few really good manual matches in fifa 13. I remeber ure a decent player. Im glad that u enjoy PES 2014. Pes times are back.

agh yes, you are a good player enjoyed the games

yes I like pes 14.

people pick bones out of it without playing it. its good

These cards don't just poof, you need to train your players before they get any of these special abilities.

so you train them, and then they poof into existence, right? doesnt refute what i said. they are binary stats. im simply saying they should be treated the same as others (out 5,10, 100, whatever) so that they can be developed and have levels of variation instead of just popping into existance

One of these cards for example is to allow an AI player to shoot from distance like real life counterpart, or another card who's player always looking for that loose ball in the box i.e. Inzaghi, or another one like the talisman, or another card that makes an AI player do certain skills like real life counterpart. as above.

Please make him understand father

0bar is same colour as 1-4bar for some reason :CONF: it only changes when you are holding L2

Oh man that sux, they ought to change it so you can at least have a visual. The assisted passing crowd would often lie that they're unassisted in pes2011, but ping-pong all over the shop and 40 meteroff balance laser-guided bullets 10 times a half.

yeah, it's a nonsensical change. the only way it makes sense is if they have implemented rock solid manual filters (so many times in pes 2013 i play against manual passers with assisted shooting -- as soon as i saw that non-yellow power bar i knew to quit)

Sorry for late answer.(I was outside) I think it will be around 80$.Yeah ı know it is way too higher but games are more expensive than standard Europe prices because of taxation. That's why most of the gamers buy their games from shopto, amazon etc. in here..

Thanks man I think I will get it from the net if it is so expensive.

Hi all. Anyone here agrees that in this leaked demo manual ground passing (0-bar or L2) is dull and underpowered compared to assisted passing? I can't seem to enjoy my passing game because of this. I really hope it's improved in next week's demo.

yep. they move too slow and often can't travel far enough (especially chipped and normal through balls). doesn't help that the custimisable camera can't zoom out far enough (big help that is) so i'm stuck trying to aim at dots on a radar instead of my actual players :CONFUSE:

You will probably love this as well, try Square then X for the keeper to perform a fake goal-kick from his hands. ;)

Also, I played quite a bit more of the demo last night, albeit against the CPU. I must admit, I found it pretty tough on the default difficulty level. I can't find an option to see or change what difficulty level it actually is, but I'd be surprised if it was Regular.

Also, I found the CPU AI played very much like a very good human player, I was shocked to be honest. I decided to start cutting out the options as opposed to jockeying in close quarters. The CPU, who was in my half at the time, passed it around beautifully, had me chasing shadows for the most part. They then proceeded to pass it back to the midfield, then defence, then their CB hit it back to their keeper from 30 yards out. I don't think I have ever seen that before in a PES game. I was stunned. :CONFUSE:

I really hope they don't change that side of the CPU AI on release, as it all felt so real and natural. I limited all the options and they just went all the way back and started again. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.:APPLAUD:

Nice to see someone on the same boat re: manual passing.

You actually raised another point that I agree with, the custom camera doesn't zoom out as far as I had expected it to be. It's only one-bar different from Wide cam. I think this issue can be easily fixed by Konami. I really wish the zooming out would allow for something like the kick off camera:
