So maybe, as the colour of those lines show the player´s motivation

They do but thats the only explanation I've heard for their inclusion. Seems really regressive, I'm sure the FIFA games in the 90s had a similar guided line. No need for it really.

Although I like the concept of the dynamic form/heart feature, I'd prefer it if it was hidden away. Always thought it was unrealistic that you knew the form of the player before the match, allowing you to drop them to the bench. It'd be better if you noticed they felt off during the match, forcing you to make a change. Might be difficult to not become pre-occupied with the form of your star player now, giving a tendency to make safe passes until their stats boost back to normal.

Thanks a lot Xav1 for the info.

Its disapointing though with the number of teams existing so far...Hopefully all the teams that made the Champions league's group stage and the Europa league this year will be present at least...

To all PC Users.
Found this in another PES Forum

Hi guys, tonight I finally get my PS3 back. Would one of you kind enough to me tonight would download the pes 14 demo from his PS3 history. If so, please write me a pn.

You should feedback on this to Komani. I am sure others will find that exploit, now you pointed at this.
Then Konami can fix it.

Emailed them mate. Potentially as many free kicks will go in as before the patch last year where you put a defender on the line and let the CPU take it.

The trick with the dots from corners and free kicks is honestly as bad if not worse, with the free kick but last year everyone online exploited to the point it was a pure game breaker.

Not to take anything away from the goal, but the defender doesn't even attempt to do anything, he just runs around like an idiot and Neuer does an awful job.

This is the first year since PES 6 that I really hope this version is the version we had to get in 2008.
It was a long wait en within that wait, I stepped over to Fifa since 2009. Which I hated till that point.

PES 2013 was a good step in the right direction, I have enjoyed it. and I also was tired of Fifa 09 till Fifa 12, everytime the same goals. I never saved a goal on Fifa, because they didnt had the wow effect. In pes 2013 I had saved 25 goal.

I was playing WE since the PS1. And before that I played ISS from the other team of Konami.
The best version of PES was for me WE6 Final Evolution.
Real slow paced, tactical and you could really see the difference between a veteran and a rookie.

I hope that PES 2014 can live to the expectacitons.

How does this work then Jimmy?

The same as the Through-Ball really, only now you have more control of the direction and the weight. The Player Stats still come into the equation, and Pirlo has 99 for Long Pass Accuracy and the Final Pass Card. (I'm sure it's a Player Card rather than one of the many new Stats)

You have the choice to have a 'Target Marker' quickly pop up onto the screen to give you an idea of where you have aimed it and where the ball will land. I kept this on for a while until I got a feel for it, then removed the visual option within the options.

And cheers Noble, I'll check that out. I saw the tapping the pad twice in the direction you're attacking performs a manual offside trap as well.

looked like awful goalkeeping to me, it looked like he got chipped from 30 yards when he was stood on his line

Doesn't take away the fact it was sweet. Happens irl. Hit the bar and in. Might've easily thought it's going out and whoop it's in. Wrong decisions. :)

Bit of demo concern:

in this build if u don't press the sprint button AI is very shy in pressing u down. I made it twice to half court with my keepers just by not pressing the sprint button. nobody came around untill i reached the circle.

My impressions after a set of games in the Demo (thanks to "youknowwho" for sharing!):

The Good

- PES 2013 was a solid step in the right direction. PES 2014 is a totally new beast, with much more depth in player control, playmaking and building your game.

- The feeling is to be in total control of a player's movements, which gives you a higher responsibility of what you choose to do: any miscalculation in speed, momentum or direction can risk losing the ball. That also means that a good play is infinitely more rewarding: I really felt proud of the goals I scored, and I believe this is the main key for any footy game. Never before have I felt that sense of achievement after a solid play ended up in goal.

- Combination play: To me, this is a game changer. It is there in real life, you see it in every game, and yet this is the first time ever that this is well reflected in a videogame. If you pick your plays right, and you execute properly, it can be destructive for your rivals. It rewards practice, timing and it's easy to use but hard to master. Great addition IMHO.

- I actually like the new dots-guides for FKs and CKs. They're a bit overpowered, yes, it only takes removing their reach (only showing the first few dots, not that much of the trajectory), but I like how it reflects where you would kick the ball with your foot. They could make it über-sensitive too if they wanted to nerf it a bit, (which I think is necessary).

- Player ID: awesome, better than ever.

- Graphically this is a revolution. Best lighting ever. Best animations ever. Best player models ever. Best collision engine ever. Not too much to say, I can't but imagine where this will go in PS4.

- I like the shooting (not floaty IMHO), I like the feeling of the ball, and I like the way deflections feel.

- You really need to think about when it makes sense to sprint and choose carefully. Sensible playing is rewarded. No more R1 whoring.

- The new dribbling system is next to perfection: right stick to indicate direction of feint, left stick to indicate direction of exit-movement. Intuitive, smart, quick.

The Bad

- All that has been written about lag in input response is there. Apparently it's addressed in the most recent build.

- GKs are good in general, but dismal on occasions. They need to be improved, and a lot, from this build.

- Lack of stadiums is worrying. I hope it can be overcome with DLC.

- Some defender choices are absurd. I hope it's AI tuning that's missing.

- A handful of times a through ball to my striker has resulted in a rough stop from the forward as long as he touched the ball, with him having to start sprinting again. Of course, by then the defender has already reached me. This is weird, it's surely a bug...

- I can't seem to understand properly how the Advanced Through Ball works. Any idea?

- I miss the "Off Side" quick command in the D-Pad.

- Pressure from the AI in the demo is suffocating. I hope it's due to the difficulty level, but sometimes it feels like too much.

Watching a FIFA 14 video makes you think of figure skating now, the way players slide... :P

This is the year.

Thanks again man I think I will be near Taksim Sq,
What about the expected price ????

Sorry for late answer.(I was outside) I think it will be around 80$.Yeah ı know it is way too higher but games are more expensive than standard Europe prices because of taxation. That's why most of the gamers buy their games from shopto, amazon etc. in here..

Makes it even better that you mailed Konami about it.
For this reason alone Konami would have bring out the demo earlier. Then they have time to fix problems on feed back, or at least bring out a day one patch.

I saw someone post here that '99%' of free kicks will be scored. Well that is a bit of an exaggeration, but this exploit you will be able to score just under half I reckon having mucked about with it on the demo. I would also saying using this strategy about 1 in 5 corners are going straight in, or the keeper is parrying them in to his own net at the near post.

I've emailed Konami, can't do more than that.

Hopefully it'll be fixed, it won't take everyone long to work it out with the dots, so online it'll be a gamebreaker :(

It certainly is. I can imagine what will happen online: You get players who start turning and moving his player in front of the box in the hope to be fouled. Next they score with a free kick they practice a lot. Or they shoot from far out the box, hoping to get a corner out of a deflection.
These things should be repaired. Or just simply remove the dots from online play...
