Konami has eventually came up with a great code for football games. My guess the final version will still be a bit raw, especially when it comes to shooting animation which really look like those ps2 ones at times, meaning some weird foot contact here and there, same for some collisions tackles. Penalty animations are particularly bad though, real bad.

As far an auto/advance/manual shooting, u get very different result with them, so u gotta choose wisely the one that fits u the most (in my case manual). Passing is nowhere as free as in pes 2013 which ain't bad because he does retain a lot of the stat based approach which i greatly favoured as opposed to full fifa manual.

ball does need some extra curl and strengh in free kicks. keepers are particularly unaware of the action right now but eventually we got decent looking animation and good saves.

MY MAIN ISSUE still being "PRESENTATION", i really find hard to believe that they haven't changed presentation in 15 years, same stadium intro scene, same crappy highlights, same annoying replays, same dull commentary etc, same shitty menu', no whatsoever options to personalize things.

But for the ps4/xbox1 there is no doubt we'll be getting back our game. Still this is a code we should have been give back in 2008, so it's a missed generation for konami. But the future looks very bright.

You people have to stop posting about the demo. As one that did not get his hands on the demo, you know how many pages and days I have to suffer as all of you get to enjoy your "broken" demo?? *cry**cry*

On another note. This game seems to be coming out as a great game and we're all happy about it and can't wait for what it can translate into with a more powerful PS4, but I'm afraid that they'd repeat the same mistake and this game can't translate properly onto PS4 and we're left with awful games again until PS5 comes out. I'm no engineer or mechanic, but does anyone know if the current to next gen machine differences are that huge? Will this problem occur again?

Also, I played quite a bit more of the demo last night, albeit against the CPU. I must admit, I found it pretty tough on the default difficulty level. I can't find an option to see or change what difficulty level it actually is, but I'd be surprised if it was Regular.

Also, I found the CPU AI played very much like a very good human player, I was shocked to be honest. I decided to start cutting out the options as opposed to jockeying in close quarters. The CPU, who was in my half at the time, passed it around beautifully, had me chasing shadows for the most part. They then proceeded to pass it back to the midfield, then defence, then their CB hit it back to their keeper from 30 yards out. I don't think I have ever seen that before in a PES game. I was stunned. :CONFUSE:

I really hope they don't change that side of the CPU AI on release, as it all felt so real and natural. I limited all the options and they just went all the way back and started again. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.:APPLAUD:

So where will you be on 19/9 European side or Asian side? I gotta know that to find you more advisable shop , you know Istanbul is very huge:))

yeah well i was skeptical coz some people may find it weird that some like the old games.
 
Bearing in mind, that this pass was achieved on Zero Passing Assistance and the quite brilliant new Advanced Through-Ball option, this quite possibly could be the best pass I've ever completed on any PES.

It was basically a delayed 1-2, although I didn't actually manually send the runner. He just gave the ball to the magician that is Pirlo, kept running as if his life depended on it, and let Pirlo do his thing. Quite brilliant from the Italian maestro. You could argue that Neuer should have done better at his near post, but that would be merely detracting from Pirlo's inch-perfect pass.

Yes, I am back too and it's good to see how many people are still around. It's a pitty I cannot join the discussions about how the demo plays. I play on the Xbox. But it's a good read :)

Well, this goal looks terribad. Poor defender, poor neuer. And U almost came (?!). Come on man, ull get frustrated after 3 games online, if only u lose a couple of goals like that. I totally don't like it.

Neuer got 2 hands to it but couldn't keep it out. The shot was from 2 metres away...if you think that's an easy save then maybe you should be training with Barcelona instead of posting on here lol

By confusion, do you mean the continuing gossip around here after fully explaining things days ago? That list of FIFA 14 stadiums is the exact same list as last years BTW.
 
p.s. I wish they'd make the replay speed the same as the game speed. You should press the button to make it slow motion, not be slow motion by default. You can't even do goals compilation videos properly unless you're capturing as you play :P

Agreed. Hopefully, that is sorted come full release.

Also, why on earth can they still not implement a Replay feature that actually captures at least 30 seconds worth of footage ?!

Doesn't Fifa give you the option to replay the whole match, or at least rewind in the Replay feature as far as you do wish ?



And Matinx, give your head a shake, this wasn't a 4-Bar Assisted Passing PES 13, close-your-eyes and press the button pass.

The first reviews from game-magazines also criticised that.
They probably had that leaked version in their hands.

In a gamescom review (don´t recall which one it was) that "bug" was tested again and they said it has been fixed in that newer code.

However I also can´t understand why they had to put up these lines.
In videos (gamescom and that training video) where people tried to achieve a goal in a free kick, using those lines, hardly anyone made a goal.
So maybe it´s not that easy anyway, as it seems you have to reach the perfect shoot-load-bar.

Somewhere I read that the HEART feature is deactivated for online games (correct me if i´m wrong). So maybe, as the colour of those lines show the player´s motivation, maybe that helping line is deactivated too for online matches.

I´m not sure though.
Anyway, wondering why they had to put that up in the first place?
It was always an amzing challenge scoring a free kick goal in PES.
