I wonder if he is still as good as he was.

32 Now, maybe his stats have fallen a bit.

I never for get the D'Alessandro love from PES 2011. That guy define the early part of the game.

I watched that video I made the other day, love it. The Stereophonics one was also a beauty. Ah, fond PES memories.......

Pfft! I reckon the most fun I get out of PES is diving into a ML at Top Player just after release and getting ripped by the AI. The satisfaction of scoring a very rare goal is huge.

You're hardcore, Daniel. :CONFUSE:

I like to know 'what's up' before I get my ass handed to me, but I get where you're coming from.

I can't wait to get home, get this download, and see what the world of 'R2' has in store for us this year...........

Oh boy, when i saw the PS3 files inside...
This year modding will be 0.
Or less someone make a Kitserver, ain't gonna happen. :))

The new camera settings are a huge thing.. thank god for that.

However, the replays are exactly the same as previous versions which is a huge shame.. you should be able to view the replays just like the ps2 versions.. ie. able to view replays in the same view that you play the game.

I'm with 100%!! (regarding the new camera settings...) I used to complain a lot about it because I never felt comfortable with them... until now..

Couldn't agree more. Already found the perfect view for me after years of struggling with the crap PES camera angles this gen. PES 2014 is all about the following 3 features for me. They make a huge positive difference to PES this year.

- The new customizable camera.
- New animations.
- New physics.

That's exactly what I like the most about this new PES... and believe it or not, in that particular order...

it seems modding will easier than ever

I've made some test with, this year KONAMI will let the game read file outside of the package, it means just create correct folder and put file there, the game will load it. So doesnt really need kitserver, maybe.

Here's a screenshot from EA's Creation Center:

No comment whatsoever is necessary.

as usual night light ain't nearly as good as day light. BUt usually they use special lighting for CL leagues which makes them look very sexy.

let's hope ML is not spoiled by zillion of cutscenes, player moaning, sillyu schedule or absurd game design. fifa cm is pretty much spot on.

Guys could someone give me their account for a borrow so i can install the demo? I'm a pes fan since pes 3 and i would never do something wrong with tehe account i would swear on my whole family. If you want i can give my account too.

The dumb, slow players reaction for L2 manual passes and through balls, and the very poor awareness of the ball when those passes are made is completetly limiting the game for me.

I hope they fix it for the next demo. The other thing that should get tweaked is L2 manual pass that could be a bit faster as the normal pass.

Wowzers lot of posts to catch up with overnight!

Yes Fifa probably did always sell more, however the market share between about 1999 and 2007 or so was a lot closer, PES/WE used to sell many millions a year, it's only in recent times that certain markets have seen Fifa outself PES by 25:1 and such. Konami had a real opportunity to stride ahead with PES 99-07 but for whatever reason they chose not to, they chose not to reinvest some of the hundreds of millions of $ the game was bringing them in into licenses, they chose not to invest into building up ML, I'm shocked that I basically stopped playing PES at PES5 and started again with PES 2013 and ML is essentially the same, couple of additions here, including some magic boots and that's about it, I'm someone who only plays manager mode, career mode etc exclusively, I know I'm in the minority but between PES5 and PES 2013 have they seriously invested no time, no money in expanding ML to appeal more to the likes of me? That shocks me.

Well said.

Personally I don't for one second believe that EA or anyone else forced the Stadium editor out of PES2014, more likely as someone intimated it's due to technical reasons or something, maybe they are having such an issue with framerate (see raingate) that allowing people to move stadium elements all over the place would create a situation where videos showing the game running at a really bad framerate would/could be posted online thus causing a PR shitstorm, just speculating obviously.

Way behind on this thread. But just wanted to add that although there aren't huge visible changes between PES5 and PES2013, they have actually tried a lot of different stuff between those time-frames (mainly in transfers and training that I can recall). Also the flow of a season (leagues and cups and so forth) has improved, as has the youth system. Unfortunately as with all of these seasonal games, the changes here will always be small without sacrificing too much else as they are trying to do too much in what usually equates to one year of coding. Although a lot of the changes they've tried have not worked, or have been deemed too 'clunky', I'm glad they are still trying.

The AI in the latest vid is worrying me, despite being on 'regular'. The team just doesn't maintain proper shape. The demo's AI looks better. I really hope that code is not final or is being constantly upgraded. I am not one to whine, but the difference is large.
