Hey Jimmy, surely Senor D'Alessandro needs to have his compilation now that the game looks and plays better than in previous years.

As a Man utd fan I am supremely dissapointed with this video. i was excited to see Old trafford witht the power of fox engine but it's nit done nicely or properly at all. there is way too much space between the adboards and the goalnet. looks just terrible.
Yep, that's what I think too, unfortunately... :(

Have they fixed the issue where keepers can't be controlled until the game says so? Like the keeper will catch a cross or shot and then get to his feet, then stand still for a moment.... And only then can you do something. But by then you've missed the chance to counter

This could be a game where the technical players excel. I had one game last night and that was going to be it, but I couldn't resist another couple....

The midfield was talked about last night. Sadly the best midfielders in pes 13 were players like the lazy fecker that is Prince Boateng or Freddy Guarin, have them in your midfield (MLO) and they are beasts.

A player I really liked on PES 13 was Leon Britton. I often played as Swansea against a mate on full manual games and he could twist and turn and create space. That was only possible however when playing against someone who didn't sprint whore, double pressure etc.

The good news is, playing with Pirlo, I reckon the more technical, slower and less powerful players might be well worth their value this year. This will make MLO more interesting, you'll be able to buy a wider range of players. There was no point in buying someone like Britton for instance as he'd get over paced and over powered, despite his good technical skills. You were better off getting someone like Wanyama, much worse technically but he was fast and strong and you'd power and sprint through the midfield with him.

I hope this turns out to be the case anyway, it might make MLO a lot more varied, you'd won't face up against the same starting line up everytime.

I also prefer the CM to thr ML nowadays.
Some years ago Konami decided to put some new features in it and stragly, to me it became less immersive.
This last year i've been playing quite a lot of CM in FIFA with teams like Doncaster Rovers, Guingamp and Brighton and Hove Albion. Great fun.
In PES i play with the South-American teams.
My favourite team Genk was ince in PES, don't remember when, but it was a bad PES, so i scarcely played with them.

..played the pes2014 demo some more...

Keepers... noticed that Manuel Neuer can throw like a beast.. I think I threw a ball about 30 -40 feet..

Also, and this is big news... and I haven't seen this in a pes game for ages... during a corner against me.. I held down the "triangle" button, and my keeper Neuer ran out and did the single fist punch ... ball went flying 20+ feet... looked amazing :)

Ive seen the double fist (although it sounds wrong) in the ps2 versions, but they simply went 5-10 feet and predominantly up in the air...
The one I saw Neuer do was a very well directed thump.. looked amazing. Wish I could capture some of the stuff ive seen..

Anyone else try the "L1" + Right stick... causing an long directional arrow to appear with the selected player?? I tried it again, and it seems the player begins making a run in that direction.. sometimes it doesn't make the player run though.. so maybe I need to press another button right after the arrow appears???

Absolutely terrible defense line positioning on second goal, one of defender chased down attacker while other stood still in line lol. Really hope its only the lesser difficulty there. Other than that looks promising and have to wait till i'll be able to try game myself before final judgement :).

definitely a lower difficulty setting. soooo much time on the ball

Yeah definitely bud, always worth doing that 'early doors', just till you get a feel of how the game plays. So much to learn, and like I always think, better to learn to crawl before you start to run, or even walk. Expecially with a new PES. Plenty of time to up the difficulty when you get to grips with it.

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how to get the demo on ps3, just returned from holiday and missed it when it was up,cheers

probably by a meter, anyway it's better then the mile btw adboards and goal in fifa loool, especially at the santiago bernabeu, where the adboard is a mile behind the goal lool, those stu**d fifa devs

Im seriously impressed this gonna destroy my social life.
it's really good, but there's something like the player awareness, it's like the player sometimes doesn't know where he's going, dunno if it's a human player control thing, otherwise fantastic stuff.

Aaaand we're back to the licensing problem.

How many people would buy FIFA if both games had English licensed teams, regardless of the gameplay?

Would ML still have the terrible transfer system where values make no sense, where player signing by AI teams make no sense, where buying different boots make a player run faster, if PES had proper English league/cup structure with a proper career mode then obviously it would be in contention, but licenses aside ML is an abomination of a single player mode compared to CM. Fifa's default gameplay isn't great but then neither is PES' it takes manual controls + slow game speed on PES before it's remotely playable for me.

It's the only stadium PES can't get right. and its the only stadium FIFA does get right. Where'd all that space come from. Disguting realy.

Gonna mod the shit out of that stadium.
bro it's not gamebreaking, they missed it by a meter, that's it it's wierd that fifa has got the only stadium right lol.old trafford.

Pfft! I reckon the most fun I get out of PES is diving into a ML at Top Player just after release and getting ripped by the AI. The satisfaction of scoring a very rare goal is huge.
