That trailer totally looked like "in-engine" CGI (you know, like Konami did with PES2011 teaser), the graphical quality could be real but that string of motions looked way too smooth.

Even then, I think it all looks average at best. Konami has a real opportunity here!

It reminded me of the Messi trailer for PES2011 that blew us all away, and look what happened there! FIFA's animations have never been the problem in recent years so I will need to see some serious gameplay improvements to be convinced.

Anyway, I agree, Konami can really make up the lost ground if they nail the new engine. I don't think the gap between the two games is as big as some like to make out.

Unfortunately the sales speak for themselves, I work in an office of about 60 people, and every gamer in the office plays FIFA, we're talking 25-30 guys, and I'm the only one that plays PES, they laughed at me when I said I played it :P

Hope Konami will knock the king off its throne! They really can't afford not to, HURRY UP E3 FFS.

In other countries, people prefer PES. In england and other anglo pseaking countries FIFA is on top but that isn't surprising because their local leagues are licensed.

League mode + gameplay improvements + make the referee send off a player for last man fouls (lol) would be enough for me, as long as brilliant modders like Jenkey and others remain. I don't care about licences, in fact I've made PES 2013 have more authenticity than FIFA by using patches and gameplay tools that allow me to add stadiums and chants

One other major change that I would like is to make form affect CPU team selections less, if at all. I'm not happy seeing players like Xavi and Iniesta for Spain, or Gerrard and Suarez for Liverpool sit on the bench because another (much lower rated) player has a better form arrow.

if people at Konami have got wings in current gen I wonder what they will do in the next gen..:))

On line Coop Master league.

i really get bored playing on my own these days, my mates are scattered all over the world. every sport game should have career mode on line coop.

when can we finally see some pes 2014 screenshots or gameplay footage/teasers?

ea sports, at least, showed us something.

Yeah, I need PES 2014 to be good or atleast on the same wavelength of FIFA 14 because I don't want to rush out and get the nextgen console like I did 3/4 years ago during PES 2008 before switching to FIFA 08.

hopefully it will be a competent release this time

Completely agree. Too much focus on online modes and gimmicks this generation. I think that was half the problem.

A-bloody-men to that! Sod online - offline is where the meat of the game (any game) is to be found. What is online? A series of disconnected matches - boring.

Incidentally, is it confirmed that the PC will be getting exactly the same game as everyone else - Fox engine and all?

After seven years of disappointment I couldn't care less any more. Whatever will be will be in the world of PES.

I'm sure PES2014 will deliver much needed change but I'm not impatient for news like I used to be. October is a long way off and that's the only time a PES game can be accurately assessed given Konami's penchant for unrepresentative demos.

This is so true. I haven't even touched a football game since December. DECEMBER!?!? That is how sad the state of football games are.

Content that Konami are not known for neglecting PC gamers. Confident that all the versions will be identical.

Offline is the meat but online is the sauce.

I will most likely be an offline gamer soon due to Broadband issues but the inprotance of online can't be undermined. Some games no matter how brilliant they are don't sell becuase of a lack of a good online mode

It's the first time that we don't have any screen or video of PES...

Last year KONAMI released a video on 24 April...

2011 and 2010 KONAMI released screens of Messi on April too...

offline and pure banters with friends (we play 2 vs 2) shits all over anything online modes can propose for me.

Next week unveil, the week after the game at pre-e3 then the E3 trailer and many infos
the wait is almost over now
