PES 2014 Discussion Thread

While I'm happy with all the game play and such from the videos, and now that the demo is finally announced, it seems that we are just waiting for September to come and not much other news is being shown. Which makes me not as happy. The reason is, being situated in Hong Kong, I am able to get my hands onto the UK Version, Japan version or Asian version of PES. In the past year, I've bought the Japan version because of J League, but with only one site I found with mods for the Japanese version, I had to create the championship and most of the Bundesliga myself to play Master League with. I am a little angsty in not knowing what licenses are in the game, and what the differences are for different regions.

The most news we have had is from Chile and their version of the cover. I am a fan of J League, yet i also want to play Master League with the Championship and EPL as well. As patient as I've tried to be, Konami PR is really really slow in coming up with news this year. Does EA really steal that much from them that they are playing everything so close to the chest?

i have a feeling something special is gonna come out of master league offline and online and i do believe they are leaving it as late as possible cause of EA stealing ideas which has been done several times over the years.

Strongly disagree gameplay aint too quick, to me that is perfect pace

Thats right.. and that's what I want to emphasize, PES 2014 will make us able to choose the ideal style of play according to the best of us. The choice between speed and skil and a blend of both, the video preview has showed how adaptation both to be very interesting. But who will be able to show the player skill that can be used in PES 2014? Come on guys show it to us??

Don't know if already posted.... but many Brazillian sites are saying that OLYMPIACOS, P.A.O.K, IF ELFSBORG, APOEL FC, BAYER LEVERKUSEN, SCHALKE 04, CSKA MOSCOW, ZENIT ST. PETERSBURG, ANZHI MAKHACHKALA and SPARTAK MOSCOW sign a new contract with Konami....
I don't know if we should trust, cause Brazillian sites are not very trustworthy, so..... :COAT:

I just got a mail from IF Elfsborg. They only had a contract with EA and the Swedish Football Association. I mailed the Swedish FA and i'm waiting for a response.

Finally we can say that 11 vs 11 will not be available for PES 2014 ! Sorry guys , next year
Just kidding :BLEH:, but would not be surprised if that happened, after all.
Less than a month until the the game release and we have no news for online mode or any mode in the game .. . do not like it because the same thing was with the demo.

How will the kits get dirty if there's no rain :P

Must be something that's in the final version.

p.s. Thanks Gab for pointing out he was playing the CPU - makes the goal even nicer. I thought it was human scored at the start. Wasn't watching closely lol

Curious how great would it be if the highest level of play against the computer. If the game remains stable or otherwise ...
The effects of weather and time also I want to see it in PES 2014, will there?

Checking-out the spate of vids has raised my hopes for this year's installment. Apart from some awkward-looking animations it looks fantastic overall.

The proof is in the pudding though. I hope Konami didn't put all of their stock into looks alone, but have made the necessary gameplay improvements, particularly online (which I play exclusively).

I enjoy 2013 online immensely but there are some minor issues that still lead to massive frustration. Particularly the keepers, where absurd mistakes account for about 40% of goals scored. Another 40% conceded by spamming the assisted thru-pass to Ronaldo. Top players need their power curtailed - they are far too strong, and this fundamentally ruins the balance of many online matches.

A slave to this game, I will be buying the moment it is released. Though, admittedly, it would need to be a muck-up of 2008 proportions to dissuade me.

Fingers and toes remain crossed.

come on guys really...gamespeed?

As for the console vs PC bit I feel I need to say something here to sort of paint a picture.

Me and many others like to pick up a control press start and play.

That's pretty much what I do when I play a game on my PC - only I don't have to search the shelf for the game I want as the vast majority of games on PC no longer need the disc in the drive. As for maintenance/AV etc, it takes care of itself if you know what you're doing.

And the graphics card mumbo jumb(o)? Buy the best one you can afford and it'll last you years - simple as that.

PCs have moved on - they're much more user friendly now; most of the time if you want to simply grab a controller and play on PC, that's what you do.

Anyway, do we know when the main PES 14 stage show will be shown at Gamescom? I want to hear more about improvements to ML/BAL.
