Projection much bro? You're the one who continues to attack me for simply disagreeing with your comments.
You said EA chose sexy animations over "real football" animations, implying obviously that FIFA is less real-life because the animations are so good.
Yes
And I responded by pointing out that animations and gameplay are two different topics altogether.
Yes. Something I said before also.
FIFA's animations are sexy because they're a pleasure to look at, and they make playing FIFA an enjoyable experience from a visual perspective.
If you like that sort of game in which is main strength is how it looks rather than the functions and balance that is fine. Nothing wrong with that.
I didn't say there was either
All sports games should look that good and that fluid in motion.
If they have the budget to do so remember. Making games costs a LOT of money, and so do engines.
But denigrate FIFA's gameplay because it looks so much better than PES in motion? That's not a valid argument, sorry.
The actual problem here is you feeling insecure about my post actually, I said the animations in FIFA looked better than real life and looked sexy. You automatically interpreted this as negative, you felt insulted and replied back with a poor ambiguous response which didn't address what I said because as I will show now, your only intention is for everyone to follow what you want them to.
Did it ever occur to you that my comments on FIFA's animations being sexy being a 'Good' thing. Also as I have said above, If you like that sort of gameplay, more power to you. Why? Realism doesn't necessarily make for good gameplay and not everyone wants extreme realism in their football title.
I've said here in the past, FIFA 11-13 I didn't buy, but i played all of them against friends at University and in other places. I refuse to give my money to this corporation anymore. When your either, drunk, high or under the influence or something, or even just relaxing, having fast frantic game of FIFA is much better than spending 5 minutes or more before every game setting up your team like in PES.
FIFA's simplicity is what make it perfect to being the most popular title, anyone can play it, doesn't take much skill if any to master, all the player play pretty much in the exact same way, you know how and where to score. This along with the sexy animations and all the licences and commentary it makes it a very, very good video game. Now you play full manual, change stats, change gameplay script, whatever, the premise of FIFA still remains, generic gameplay, same methods to score all the time, same sexy animations, doesn't take long to adjust.
That is so much easier than a game which takes time to set up to team every game, change the lineup depending on form, stats and how you want to play, each team is different and have different individuals so you have to learn how to use each team. Not to mention the freedom in passing and unpredictability and so on blah, blah, blah. As I have shown, FIFA's simplicity will always be a big selling point over PES, even in the PS2 golden era, people would play FIFA because of licences and simplicity.
The two games are (well used to be in a way) chalk and cheese, ironically one game tends to excel at what the other does baldy at.
The most 'realistic' football game is not automatically the best football game universally. It's not black and white what people define as realism, it depends entirely what the user is looking for.
It shows like I have said throughout, you just want everyone to agree with your own view and you feel the need to attack someone who doesn't share you view word for word.
But that was last year. PES 2014 for the most part looks much more smooth and realistic in motion than FIFA 13, a blind person can see that.
yet:
Actually no, the one comment about running with broomsticks is quite accurate. Some of the off the ball movement animations are still really bad. Check out Balotelli 3-4 min mark. His ball-tracking and stop-start animations look positively awful, very last-gen. No inertia whatsoever.
