Xav1 is deluded and in denial of what was shown.

Remember: from PR perspective releasing such old code video would be suicidal. I also wouldn't trust Adam words. Always accept them with pinch of salt... ;) (remember him overhyping PES 2011? Remember him talking about GKs being fixed? Yeah... Reality proved his words :P).

In all honesty I was excited to see E3 videos. I really saw glimmer of hope, the new direction KONAMI might take... But now, I am not so sure about that :(.

The game looks more and more like PES 2013 which I liked, but it was NOWHERE near the fun levels of other titles out there.

Pretty poor.

Also pitch looking green/lush colors can be achieved by simple editing in video software (Windows Movie Maker for instance). This does prove nothing.

Imho, its the video resolution and rendering that make it look choppy. Not the animations themselves. Framerate issues look prevalent here. There is almost no way that the game ends up being choppier than was previously. Konami wouldn't let that happen. HOPEFULLY.. *SIGH . Literally, from second 1, the video looks choppy. The scene with the crowd looks choppy and everything thereafter. I really think it was poor rendering rather than the entire game looking gaining slideshow effects.

Watch it again. The ENTIRE VIDEO is choppy. Not just PORTIONS OF IT.

IS that WHAT KONAMI USED?? Tell me more, tell me more. The lush colours were captured via phone footage of a TV screen.

OVERLY COMPULSIVE NEGATIVE PEOPLE on eVO-Web? WHO woulda thunk it?

well, the rendering being choppy doesn't explain missing frames in animations
 
Maaan that GK fail video is too PES2013ish.

Just look how the player runs with this 2013 upright animation.

that guy is the biggest brown nose on any PES fansite. even though i basically agree with what he says right there everything he says annoys the fuck out of me
 
Ah sorry, didn't notice it was uploaded straight from Phone to YT.

But yes, TVs in shopping malls usually use high contrast/saturation settings.

To show off colors :P.

The GK GLITCH video was recorded with camera cause you can see moire there which comes when recording from TV.

What we see from there is the outcome of TV settings and also camera settings(profiles). You can have many different profiles in modern cameras some more saturated than the others.

I'm inclined to request that we all take his advice, here.
 
I know this is hard, but I think that the sooner we start assuming PES 2014 won't be the wonderful game we were lead to believe it was going to be, the better for all of us. Right now, all signs indicate PES 2014 will be a little better than the 2013 version, and that's it.

Something happened. We might never know what, but it's clear.

First: FOX ENGINE. HAVOK. EDGE MAGAZINE. The hype. Photo-realistic graphics. Close to reality.

Second: FIRST SCREENSHOTS. Ok, it isn't THAT close to reality, but it's better than PES 2013.

Third: FIRST VIDEOS. Is that rendered or is it actual gameplay footage? Looks good, but there's not much gameplay to analyze.

Fourth: MORE INFO ON THE FEATURES AND MORE VIDEOS. It isn't AMAZING, but it's seems much better than PES 2014. Lots of questions to be answered.

Fifth: DEMO PUSHED FORWARD. And this is when the strange things start happening. Ambiguity. Odd decisions from Konami.

Sixth: CALMING THE BEASTS. The customers/gamers/us started to get a little anxious, angry and impatient about not having a concrete Demo release date. About not knowing everything about the game (features, modes, etc). So Konami decides to start releasing extremely short videos that shows tiny bits of real gameplay. The good feeling from points 3 and 4 are gone. The game looks nothing like in those videos. Graphics arent even close to PHOTO-REALISTIC (Point 1) but they are a lot closer to PES 2013. Gameplay isn't smooth. Animations aren't as fluid as we were told they were. Everything's going wrong.


I'll keep this updated as the story develops...
Feel free to correct/add/remove whatever you think is wrong.

Adam must have it hard now, seeking how KONAMI f**ked up. Lying is viable option... ;)

But not many people will buy his lies... After what he has done over previous years...

Maybe the vid just shows various situations instead of how they will actually look in game. Konami can set up various situations to showcase their different features. Maybe that's what he's alluding to?

That was the turning point that began to sow doubts and konami has worsened with these weirds PES2013-4 videos
 
This is insane.

Why don't people just wait to play the game themselves before passing judgement ? It's crazy.

I've yet to actually watch one video of PES 2014, I just don't see the point to be honest....

God that guy is annoying as fuck. One time I thought it was adam himself I disguise.

Gamescom next wee can't come sooner enough, and the demo.
 
I agree to an extent, Jim. Trouble is, these videos are essentially marketing tools and it's only natural that people will form opinions from them.

Konami have two options in my view:

1. Really concentrate on PR next year and release video content that shows the game at its best and doesn't raise more questions than it answers.

2. Don't bother with PR at all.

It's Konami's fault. They don't know how to promote a game. Releasing the demo right now would clear a lot of doubts...
 
It doesn't help that we've been through this process every year for the last five with essentially the same result. It's like opening up old wounds.

Indeed, this thread is incredibly depressing to read, i actually scan and only read certain peoples posts now by certain individuals as the rest post nothing but nonsense.

Surprised this thread hasn't been locked like fifa one did while back.
