Someone tweet Adam and get him to feedback to Konami HQ that we need fullscreen 1920x1080 screenshots of the game, not small images :)

Game is 720p only on consoles :P And you can get them all at that resolution already:

I don't know what's the term but..

the colour and 3d model/environment depth looks much more believable than last year..

Btw tech fit kits is for next gen features only... lol.. hope not

Tbh I think the main problem is the kit fit. The "regular" kit is bigger than it should be, probably because of the new cloth technology that uses actual mesh on top of bodies (from the Fox Engine tech demo).

But yes, Pirlo's head is oddly shaped. Some incongruencies are bound to happen though, haven't seen anyting that got me worried yet though.

Yes, check out Marvellous Designer 2, I used this before at University, brilliant tool, costs a lot thought, I made a few things on that. PC's will accurately simulate the cloth but consoles its not a s good, consoles are quite bad in tech really.

Infact for PES 2011 I even posted some Marvellous designer vids, I think Konami took the Idea from me  (wishful thinking)

This game is being built clearly with the PS4/new xbox in mind, they are at the opposite stage tot he crossover last year, they have a game held back now by the PS3 limitations rather than have no new tech at all.

I am worried about the bodies though, this new system and new technology, with full rendered bodies I'm worried they haven't figured out a stable method to alter models like they have for PES1-PES2013 where in edit mode you change a players head size/shape, neck length, torso etc.. The pictures show everyone with the same default body size which is why certain players look odd like Pirlo.

Something like we see in Smackdown Series maybe a little too complex for thousands and thousands of players in the game for memory.

I'm actually unsure if this is a picture or a screenshot:

I highly doubt this has been discussed yet regarding to Master League, but I'll throw it out there anyway:

If I take a team to the top and win the league and Champions league, players should want to join us! As it is now, it's absolutely impossible to sign players like Cavani, Hulk, Neymar...

...and no, I'm not interested in building a super team, but it's downright impossible on PES 2013. At least for me.

It looks very game like to me, the lighting on the ball is a little to plastic to be real. The Turf is too perfect.

This is the only thing what worries me for the new screenshots. the player bodies. This is in terms of aesthetics

Pirlo is the example (we are only judging the body shape not comparing graphics, just the shape.

Again, PES 2014 is Miles better graphically, the point is his shape in pes 2014

what sticks out a mile is Pirlo's body shape, you can see he has a large head in real life, his shoulders and upper torso is very small, waist is rather small, his legs aren't that long either.

Pirlo in PES 2013 because of the body shape editor which has been in the game for years and years:

Resembles Pirlo well, even when the graphics are massively inferior, I fear this is not in PES 2014 because of the new tech and moulding each players body has become more complicated and takes up too much memory to store. There are literally thousands of players just on PES, having 10 morphing sliders along with a head slider is fine but the new game could be like smackdown:

@klashman69: I don't think we have reasons to suspect those editing options have been removed, especially when we were told they were actually enchanced this year.

The only actual differences there is the head, which looks more squished than it should but you have other players with long faces on the screens, so that kinda gives you an answer; and the kits, which are much looser than PES2013, maybe because they haven't fully grasped the cloth technology just yet. If you focus on the bare body parts you can see that it's very very similar to that PES2013 screenie.

I can't stop worrying when for something that has been so fundamental isn't there in the early screens. In the past this was carried over without question, now we will have to wait to see if it's back, i have doubts.

For years they have been working with the same block system, now the system is new, the kits are separate but that means full bodies rather than the head/arms and legs stuck directly to the kit. Head sizes will always be different, but its the morphing which is important which may not be available. As yu can see in the smackdown vid, when dealing with full models its not as easy to edit and there are more than 10 morphing points on the body with 15 levels within each slider.

This is also why FIFA have gigantic issues with their players looking like cartoon monsters on this gen.

I'm not criticising Konami here, it's my worry in regards to tech.

interesting posts, klashman. and that pes2013 is clear to see that it looks more realistic in terms of body shape

you should ask adam on twitter if body parts can be altered i size, and link to him your post

Horizontal lines?

Yes. Say for example you have a shot and you get a close up of the player, the image starts cutting. Maybe its my TV size as the game adjust the resolution for it to fit on a screen. But its kinda like if your playing a PC game and don't have V-Sync on.

Its not bad when playing, its those close-ups, penalties moments and edit mode when rotating the model.

But that's not because of the resolution mate. It's either the game itself or the TV.

If konami are doing this for current gen i can only imagine full clothes/hair physics will be in for next gen.

As a software dev myself, the future of games technology is so exciting and although we (well many games fans) drool at fps shooters etc pushing boundaries, it's sports games like pes that are the true stunners.

22 players, ai, physics, ik, collisions, shaders etc etc etc blows away any other genre imho for difficulty etc to code/test/please!
