PES 2012 PC Demo talk

everything is almost fine except the running animations, which is not a disaster but pretty close to it. IMO turning animations are too quick too.

Yes, but due to conflict its now available only on his facebook page/blog page

"new version with improved LOFTED THROUGH BALL and GK "

I saw this in his blog but i couldnt be sure.Date was 17 August. Is that it? If not, can you send a link to me please?thx

don't know if it's just me but whenever I start the game I'm forced to set the profile and game settings from scratch! is it the same bug with PES 2008? back then there was this unsavable option file bug.

It's a demo thing, demo doesn't save any settings or option file.

Well, there's really just one thing to say having played about 15 games;

DEFENDING

Jesus. It's a lot harder. And that's a good thing, although it gets mighty frustrating at times. I haven't won a single game yet (played 14 of the games on top player, and one on professional). Scored some nice goals though, but I stress out every time the opponent get the ball on my half. Concede shitloads of freekicks and cards.

Pros
+ Extremely good AI
+ More fluid gameplay
+ Better atmosphere on stadium
+ Collisions are a lot better
+ Defending is bloody hard, in contrast to 2011
+ Patience is key when attacking, realistic
+ Shots aren't too bad, I've had a couple of screamers already
+ "Control second person"-thing is great, especially on set pieces

CONS

- Cursor change again, ffs. When it's so important with timing and being the right guy in defense, this is a major let down.
- The goalkeepers aren't at all as good as some people were raving on about, done lots of mistakes in the games I've played
- Some animations still look very clumsy and stupid

Re: Blur

overall disapointing experience, this demo - very few realy new things in it - if fifa 12 pc will be equal to console version it will beat pes easily this year i'm afraid

Do you use the L1 or RS to select your defending player? i find the RS works well once you get the hang of it.

Tried the DEMO. Loved the soothe game-play, New tactic options, new states bars, and the most important the AI is great.

With this NEW PES no more FIFA this year for me. Thank You KONAMI for listening to your true fans.

I like your brazilan thing. Your missing tostao and socrates from their though ;)

Turning is fine.

Your have blown by the issue you raised out of proportion.

It's very silly especially with RB/R1 or whatever the dribble button pressed is. It's not blown out of proportion, no problem of the game is, at least in vain. They need to be noticed and fixed.

Not to start an argument or anything, but can you tell me what you like about FIFA? Is it animations? Arcadey gameplay? Graphics?

Maybe it's just me, but I find that shooting is just awful in this demo. The ball feels weightless, like it's filled with helium or something (it rarely picks up any speed).

Also, is Lavezzi Messi in disguise? I know he's good, but he seems a tad overrated in the demo.

seems like your not the only one, whereas i find the shooting better than pes 2011

2nd day of demo play:
After playing a few games, my complaint lies mostly with the goalies. I've read a lot of complaints about them so i'm sure we're not in the minority here so please Konami if you get this, change them keepers!!
They seem a bit (too?) clumsy and sometimes feel like they're not anticipating balls/situations correctly.

I've seen tons of new graphics and animations in only less than 15 games and this is only the 1st demo.. yuppiee!!
Really,.. Really impressed with this version so far, defending is bad ass. Stimulating runs with R3 is also a nice addition and seems well balanced, i've made quite a few good runs and dummies with those, some even resulting in goals or chances.
There's really tons of new life in this demo! You really have to play it to believe it. And there's something for everyone with the full auto/manual setting changes.

Yesterday i felt speed 0 was too slow but now i'm used to it, i just hope the speed won't alter that much in the next demo (final release?). I find the likes of Nani, Robinho a bit too much, dare say arcadey when it comes to turning and twisting animation wise (agile too much?) but no i have no problems with their speed.

Oh and, this demo is mad difficult when played on full manual. To those that say this game is easy or easy to score, you haven't played full manual yet!

for those of you complaining about GK's, you do realize the best keeper in the demo (abbiati) is only rated about 82-84 or so. if you're expecting the likes of abbiati, de gea, de sanctis, helton, etc. to make acrobatic world class saves, what do you think casillas, buffon, cesar will be like in the actual game? let's wait till some sort of data editor comes out for the demo so we can mod some keeper to be rated 92 or something. then we'll be able to see the full extent of keeper AI in pes 2012

but with the limited keepers we can choose from in the demo as of now, we cant really judge the GK AI yet

even in PES 2011, keepers rated in the high 70s are expected/prone to make the same handling mistakes

I'm not talking world class saves, the easiest of balls /situations are just not handled 'naturally'. Just look at some youtube vids, it's just buggy that's all.

This is a VERY good point actually

to anyone using an xbox pad on the pc - can you press two buttons at once? I can't change the FK set up, can't dive but can seem to super cancel. This makes me think that i'm missing a lot of options, especially with defence. The players are getting rinsed every time, no matter how good my timing is...

i'm just saying =\, i've seen de gea make these same blunders in real life...

I have. "Full manual" doesn't really exist in PES, at least the way it exists in FIFA where it really is full manual. The passes are impossible to make fully manual even setting all the settings to no assistance, and shooting is the same way...

FK setup works, haven't tried any other stuff because I didn't remember about them...

works fine with me, controls are different depending on if you use (LS + DPAD) to move, just LS, or just DPAD. check the command list

i don't have any problems with the controls. i use a wireless MS xbox 360 pad. diving, FK setup, etc.

I'm not talking just a specific case of blunders just all round they seem off a bit too much. At times they seem a bit too static compared to the situation and at other times goalies just do random irrational stuff that doesn't make sense. For ex in ps2 versions that barely happened if you know what i mean. It's just their behaviour not so much their reactions and/or save animations which of course aren't really good either which you are referring too. But the latter i'm not really worried about as of yet.

They seem to have improved when it comes to long balls and crosses.. i like that, but that's about the best thing i can say about the goalies acting 'normal'

If you were a pro at PES2011 then i can understand it, otherwise i can't :)
Because, i'm sure my passing was way better on assisted than on full manual as well as defending and all round play in general. The AI really helps if you play assisted.

I for one didn't play PES2011 extensively so i'm behind when it comes to the 'learning curve' of this game-engine. That could explain it...

Shooting is still incosistent yes, i agree.
