yeah im currently getting all my stuff ready for a new file,just hoping there will be enough slots to fill in all the unlicenced teams, imagine this game when eveything is added like kits,stadiums,new teams, its going to be very hard to fit in other activities around pes for the next 10 months:BOP:

here are some more vids. I've recorded two match highlights videos with my cell phone, so sorry for shaky hands.

I have to admit I liked the demo very much, it plays like none PES before. The referee is a little bit strict, but you just have to figure out when to tackle, e.g. if you tackle with X (on PS3) from behind you can very easily produce a freekick for the opponent. I like that, now you have to carefully watch your timing.

I can also tell, that after probably 10 matches I haven't seen any GK AI issues!

Besides, this demo feels a lot better than the demo @ Gamescom!

Don't matter what game you play. People will ALWAYS pick the top teams online. This COULD be the first game in which you won't have to worry about your opponent, as long as you know how to play you will be fine whoever the other guy chooses :)

I have a big list of teams that I use (I only occasionally use the biggies when I get round to them on the list), best way to learn the game. The satisfaction is amazing when you pull it off.

In my last online match I beat Arsenal 1-3 with Chievo Verona, it's possible, I've done it many times :)

After playing the MLO i was keen to get my hands on this and thanks to a very kind member on here i finally got my teeth into this last night.

First impression was at how VERY different it felt from the online beta. It was sheer smoothness, player movement felt natural and unforced everything was perfect from passing to player positioning. Played on top player and felt i dominated most of the games i played. The Messi that i played must have been the World Cup version as i rarely saw him!:P

I liked how the strength of defender was tamed down from the beta and the forward wasn't palmed of easily but the tussle seemed fair and benefitted from whoever had that yard advantage going to the ball.

The difference in players skill level was also telling in a good way. The difference when trying to dribble to Van Bommell who felt like he'd fall over and was slow to Robben who had wings on his boots was perfect!! ~Thomas Muller was simply amazing to control. And the passing and power in which you choose is also great. If a pass is misplaced then it's my fault not the computer!

Huge improvement on the keepers also. Brave coming out and no spillages in the games i played and no soft goals conceded.

I would always chose Bayern over Barca/Inter/Real anyday as the sense of accomplishment when beating them would be hugely rewarding.

I loved the manager tactics board and how you can adjust tactics to be implemented for which time of the match you are at. I noticed this when we were level and at the 70minute mark i set the tactics to go all attack and when Barca lost the ball i broke very quickly with a 3 on 2 with Klose,Muller and Robben all marauding down the left hand side. Very impressed i was!!:WORSHIP:

Negative it's small but always when a corner breaks about the 18yd lind the scissor kick always happens no matter how far out the volley seems.

But i'm truly amazed at this game. PES is back no doubt!!

just made that, as you can see from the 1st clip the rainbow flick bug is gone,im loving the long manual long balls like the one milito hits into space for messi to run onto half way through the vid,also the backing off then nicking the ball in the tackle using back and x is also in there. new volley animation added too,havent had much time to play the demo as that konami video at the end is making me turn the game off after 1 or 2 games

I was holding FCB to a 1-0 deficit with the last kick to be made from a Villa FK about 20m on the left of the semi circle.

The twat stood behind his wall a bit too far and Villa obliged with a straight drive that he couldn't get to as much as he sprawled his dumbass across the goalmouth.

You just don't know what to expect in PES2011it's soo random. A good thing btw.

It's the fact that they land on their fronts like a seal that bothers me. That and the keepers head never turns to follow the ball. Keeper dives and keeps his head looking forward until he lands. I know it's nit-picking, but scoring goals is much less satisfying because of this...and the horrible nets.

The nets will look better on the pc version anyway. Just checked out pes10 on the pc again, and the nets are ok.

But yeah, everything else is pretty much spot on. I love switching play between Robben and Ribery, especially on the counter attack. Brilliant feeling when you plant a 60 yard ball right into his path.
 
I love the new fixed replay camera that you can plonk down anywhere you want and then let the action play around you. That will be freaking awesome for compilation videos or just to get a great angled view of a shot or piece of skill. Shame you can't adjust the height of the camera though.

I'm bored of the demo already for this reason, I know you can quit to the XMB and restart all before that stupid video ends but its too much hassle.

Thankfully I'll have two more demo's to play on Tuesday, I just hope they don't make the same mistake.

Watching Ribery in that video has reminded me of the Bundesliga again, does anyone know whether all of those players will be missing from ML again or will they be in the game somewhere? National teams etc.

i have beaten the big teams online with all sorts of minnows from everywhere just i felt that those players i was able to beat were all just shit :COOL:

Come up against a half decent player with a small team and you really have no chance! I mean if i was Barca and someone played against me with West Brom, there is no way in hell he's beating me!
 
Thanks Goalgerd I'll try it again when I've hacked messi in the box.

Has somebody twittered or mentioned the scissor kick thing to Jon Murphy it's a right pain in the arse. It's silly that I've had more scissors than volleys in the game. Hell 20cms off the ground shouldn't be scissored.

I've been having this same problem but when you say hold down Square or Circle, do you mean that you can use both or just one?

Also, when you say, "With direction" do you mean hold the button at the same time you move the directional stick, or you press one first then the other?
 
GK animations do actually look like the black sheep of this game. I'm not trying to pick holes wither because it's been said before.

0.15 - Diving to save the ball with the hand furthest away from it
0.25 - It's not that silly but with a shot along the floor like that a better and more realistic option would be to try to save the shot with your leg because you can get down quicker (see Benaglio's attempt to save Darren Bent's recent England goal).
0.50 - It might seem a bit pedantic in this case because it isn;t that bad but i'm trying to get all my points across in one video. Don't really get why he goes at a lower than mid height shot with a 2 handed diving save.
1.08 - Same as before really, why would a one handed attempt (maybe falling backwards a bit rather than diving down) not suffice there
1.25 - Exactly the right kind of save. That's more so what i meant should happen with the two above.

What do you reckon?
 
I've got the sound and the visuals separated to I know that I can press quit game, then change to TV and just press X a few times until I hear a sound effect. That or I go have a smoke as the vid plays.

I don't like some GK animations becasue they don't use hands in some intervetions.

hold down square then pick which way you want to dive(direction)so hold button 1st then when player coming to kick the ball use L stick or dpad to dive left or right

When it comes to keepers. They are fine! They have the odd bug every 10 games or so but they are solid and i wouldn't worry about them.

The issue is I'd say 35% of their animations are rather ugly. That's the problem but really it's not a huge issue. Will get irritating over time though i think!

I think ugly is probably the right word to use, they aren't game breaking by any means. I mean i think sometimes they get down too fast on floor saves but in that situation if they could save with their feet like I would suggest was the optimal way of making a save it'd have the effect so i guess the result is the same.

It's only really noticable because i deliberately started paying attention as i initially noticed that the same old goalkeeper going for the ball with the hand furthest away was still evident as it was in PES 5. Then I noticed some more things.

Diffrently put, if you can play football you can play pes.
Although this has'nt been the case for the last 3 years. I say this because when i have played my lad the last couple of years he always seems to give me a tight game, but this is not reflective of his football knowledge because he doesnt really like football ( C.O.D. freak :P ) this never used to be the case years ago, if you didnt know your onions you would be exposed!

This year though the proof is in the pudding and you guys are going back for seconds. FFS i have been around here long enough to know the opinions to take on board positive and negative.

Hey Buzzy great post.

Are you downloading the PC demo?? Can't wait to see the various mods that come this year given stadium editor etc.

Make sure we set some time aside thiss term for some games my freind:BOP:
 
There's nothing really wrong with the AI defence IMO they get it wrong here and there but in general they are solid. Worst case was when the ball went straight up in the air and the 2 defenders watched it drop as I ran in and hammered it home either player could have cleared it but these instances are pretty seldom.
Have you played or basing it on videos highlights?

Another thing is the AI is susceptible to all the errors that human opposition make including mistimed challenges, missing clear cut chances and even scoring own goals.

I had a good few offline games with friends and family all long time Pro Evo fans as we grew up together. It was immense and unsurprisingly very few goals scored even with the likes of Barca. It was unanimous tho that the Copa teams are more fun to play with and -2 was the chosen gamespeed.
