PES 2011 Discussion thread

This is without doubt the most complete football game i've ever played.
:WORSHIP:

Tell me about it, the more I play, the more I learn, the deeper it gets. The way it replicates the sport in sooooo many different area's is genius. And this is a demo ffs. Wait until ML and MLO, Copa, CL, Europa League, all new BAL, new commentator, imported chants, kits. Oh my word, heaven.

On a negative side, I'm still seeing way too many side scissor kick animations. I hate them with a passion. That really is my only real gripe.

Just noticed that myself. Had 3 in the last 4 games, and the power that's generated from them seems too much. I've seen over the top power generated from a tackle and a save aswell, where the balls has deflected ridiculously high, although that could just be the camera angle.

jimmy I don't mind if the refs are strict, but when they get calls plain wrong like clean sliding tackles from head on being given as penalties (I've got one of a fair few on my phone but can't be arsed to get a YouTube account etc just yet) then it switches from being strict to being random. If they were random in a human way that wouldn't be a problem.

well just like real life. referee's get decisions wrong and im glad its the same here in PES

I found out something interesting:

Some people overhere were disappointed that the CPU sometimes 'spontaniously' made a sliding.
The reason is simply a setting in the Management Edit screen.
There you find at the bottom : "Auto trigger setting"
There is an option "Sliding tackle ON"
Just change that to OFF and the CPU will not do automatic slidings anymore :)

I don't mind if the opponent gets away with a few bad challenges, or if some soft fouls are given, but penalties for, as romagnoli said, textbook defending, is bullshit really.

I would go mental if I conceded a pen like that in the last min to some idiot online :P.

Can you block shots with slide tackles and not get penalised if the player stumble over you after you block it? What I mean is, does the game understand the difference between a block and a tackle to attack/take the ball/player?

I think FIFA finally nailed it, so it understand that it shouldn't give freekicks or penalties when you block a shot. Hopefully this works correctly in PES too.

Normally I would say yes to that question, and with conviction. But last night I saw the most bizarre thing. A player made a slide-tackle fairly and won the ball, but as the CPU was still on the floor after making the tackle, my player ran over to get the ball, caught his foot on the defender's leg, fell over it, and I got a free-kick. :CONFUSE:

I have never ever seen that happen before.

Re: zithromax where to buy

Zithromax it is a dope which sound is as a rule cast-off allowing reciprocate instead of the improve of on treatment of some taints of a skin. Requirements zithromax can be directed, descent: more advisedly and hinie breathing taints of procreant trajectories, a pharyngitis (a throat embarrassing); a tonsillitis, sinus taints; on the amble incorrect events the long-lived obstructive lung infection, a pneumonia, and also assured.

Really ? I never knew that. So what do you think about the refs ?

Well if that stuff is rare it's still good. Really can't wait to finally get my hands on this bloody demo.

Ok I need help.

How do I beat a man?

I appreciate the use of R2 to use in tight situations ot turn etc. Is there also an L1 slow dribble there used to be? (I'm ex fifa8,9 and 10 so remembering 3 years ago LOL)

I dont understand this trick stick. All I want to do to begin with is run with say Ribery, face a full back, 2 stepovers, a burst of pace and cross it in.

Help needed please.

I hit the bar with a beautiful free kick from d'Allesandro, whilst the ball dipped over the wall and was heading to goal, the whistle went, a jostling player of mine had somehow slid in, taken a man out, and got red carded.

All I was doing was I'd pressed to shoot, and held up and right to get bend and dip. I didnt want to do a slide tackle or control anyone else but da'Alessandros freekick. Oh well

I love Alessandro, what a player, certainly an early MLO buy for me if we get access to the Copa teams. Shame about the foul though. I have an Alessandro freekick goal on my new video I'm currently trying to upload to YouTube via 3G. :CONFUSE:

Try familiarising yourself with the feints Dave, I use these alot to buy a yard of space, but they do take practice. My advice would be to change the difficulty level to Beginner, and use the space and time to practice them. If you go to Feint Link in your pre-match screen, then assign 1 trick/feint to each direction of the right stick.

I change the trick view to Player Postion so the tricks are relevant to your players stance. Then I have Front Flick for facing forward, Cross Over Turn for left, Reverse Step-Over for right, and Dragback Feint for rear. If you keep the same 4 tricks until you get a feel for them it will help lower the learning curve. When in game, press L1 and the right stick in the relevant direction to initiate each feint you have preset.

I'll post my video up as soon as it's uploaded, it shows alot of the Reverse Step-Over, which is very handy for creating space, even against Top Player AI. I tend to use the more subtle feints, they look more realistic and feel alot better than the dreaded Rainbow Flick et al.

Edit- With Ribery, I think you can probably just push the right stick in the direction your running for a step-over, without having to press L2.

You've seen a red card???

I can't get on with Internacional's default formation at all. The wing backs are for decoration, never defending and seldom attacking. Swapped it to a very tight diamond formation, upped the forward runs to 13, kept the support to 8 and pushed the back line up a smidge. Much better.

I will try all of that thanks Jimmy.

Re d'Alessandro, yes a cracking player, and would probably be my number 10 in my upcoming ML team. However my absolute favourite, who won't have many more years left is Juan Roman Riquelme, and I used to love him on PES so it's got to be him this year

Ugh this is just painful reading the various expo's on here and i can't bloody touch the thing 'til next wednesday!

Still playing PES 2010 and finding it very hard to sit through a whole game as it just feels so ancient, so stale compared to PES 2011 and all iv'e got to go on is the various footage and i can clearly see that this is enough to make PES 2010 look naff.

God wednesday and then the 8th of Oct just can't come soon enough..

I find it a little sad that this guy is now commonly reffered to as "Fat Ronaldo", wheres the respect?
OFF:
So true.
I wonder how expensive it would be to hire him today if he was playing as he did in his first - and only one - season with barcelona. Inter Milan would not have the money, I guess..

He will retire in 2011.:((

AAARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!

This is killing me!! I'll have to wait till Wednesday as i have various other stuff to pay by card and can't buy a PS+ membership!

My reward will be sweet satisfaction of the euphoria you guys are going through but man it is hard reading all thie comments!!

Watching a number of games i had money on today. In Germany and England

Every single one of them just reminded me of PES 2011. In every way :CONFUSE: Or i just can't take my mind of this game i think.

I have noticed alot of overhead kicks being scored in the videos, needs to be fixed because overhead kicks are bloody rarerly seen being scored in real life so that needs sorting out. They should be much more harder to do.Also can any player do overhead kick or is it only for specific players?Other than that the game looks brilliant and I can't wait to play it next week!

Anyone can do it but agile players tend to do it more often!

just played the demo at a buddy's home.
Wow.. That is called football maan ! The complete fotball pakage i must say.the game is very hard but too much rewarding ! Its not a casual game like fifa for sure! Cant waite for the pc version.. !

poor kid nimnim. I think Fifa is made for kids with no brain, in this case u.. What a perfact example.these kids dont know what they are talking about
Pes if for adults.u have not grown up yet to realize the weight of pes2011

U do realise that comments like this make u sound like one of those kids. "Lets stop with the my dad is bigger than yours" rubbish.
