PES 2011 Discussion thread

I don't agree because most of casual gamers buy FIFA for licenses. They don't care about PES.

Which was exactly my point!

If the PES and Fifa demos go head-to-head there's only going to be one winner. PES2011 needs the stage to itself to win a few people over.

Thats lame considering you can downloaded all the kits and have better gameplay and more fun.

Casual gamers are f.u.c.k.i.ng lazy! They want buy a game and play sunday night with full licenses. I know what i say because FIFA fans are specifically. All the time when i speak with FIFA fans they speak about gameplay but very often they say about licenses. For example " I know lons PES is not bad but I admit FIFA have licenses bla bla You know what i mean etc"

Again, welcome to November!

To be honest Rom I would now feel the same about any previous PES, including 5 and 6. I can't settle for anything less now. For me to snap the disc of a game I have loved for nearly a year just proves how much of a Revolution 2011 is. And it was only a 60% code as well ffs. It's crazy. It's going to be a long week.

That too. The recent FIFAs offered a lot of these revolutions (and a few more which you can expect in coming PES's) in various increments over the past few years. It just hasn't been attached to PES yet. A lot of the things suggested by fans for Konami to implement are based on things FIFA had that PES doesn't just as EA get a lot of PES based requests.

I hope they release it with FIFA 11 demo that way it won't take a full week to download seeing as half the universe and their sisters will be wanting a taste of it's splendor.

True, but PES in hindsight was the lesser of two evils for me personally. Individuality and fundementals are my utmost concern. I'm sure in a way we both feel the same about this new PES for alternate reasons. I now have the freedom that Fifa had, and you have the individuality and the things I mentioned previously that didnt make Fifa a sim in my eyes. If you get my drift. I was happy to have what PES gave me, now I've felt Konami's new take, it's a whole new dawn.

also i'm sure nobody can but is anybody able to conform or indeed deny the ability to play a private master league online? as in two friends playing in the same MLO

Well it was already been mentioned that news of the demo will be out this week, which should tell us that the demo should be out next week, 8th September. That's my onion on the whole demo saga.

I thought same thing, If I were konami I would put the demo out on the 8th or 9th, Seeing as FIFA's demo will be out on the 16th, but you would not want to jump the gun to early (like Sept. 3rd) and have people happy with the game but say well lets see what FIFA is about and then forget how great PES was, even though the game sounds like it is all its hyped up to be. just my opinion.

P.S. I would have loved to have the demo this week

Fifa never attached it's revolutions to a meaningful football experience. That's the problem for me and others here.

A famous quote came out of anfield in the 70's " If that lot down the road get it right we'll be fooked " meaning Man-utd. And if EA aren't careful konami will smash them. For the first time in 2-3yrs i am looking forward to PES rather than Fifa.

All in all i think PES has been making FIFA look good these past few years.

If i had to compare PES to a football team it would be AC Milan I'd say. Where as FIFA would be many a team like Marseille, Tottenham or Aston Villa.

PES now has a clear vision and the whole team is working together finally with some decent tech. Back in 2006 the fans (many of the silly ones) sort of created a glass ceiling for the game. They used to say it was perfect. There was also many who wanted too much aesthetic stuff such as skills and pace, this is why it went off course. They weren't sure how to improve it without losing the PES feeling and they had a new brand of casuals which were simply not helping (the same people who have switched over to fifa and are not helping that game by overrating it!)

It all too political over with FIFA now it seems, too many people working on the game want different things! Also the head office seems very ignorant sand is single minded for FIFA to be made to hit the casuals first ad everyone else second!

It's been more about PES sorting itself out that waiting for FIFA to deliver!

One guy mentioned a thing about fifa and pes:

Fifa's players all feel the same when playing. While PES you really feel the difference between all players also 2 speed dribblers.

This is exact how I felt when I played Fifa 2010. But I didn't think about it. Hopefully the new pass system still makes big differences between the players :O

^

That's the PC version though, isn't it? Which as far as I'm aware isn't going to be quite as good as the 360/PS3 version.

I thoguth this years fifa PC version = PS3/Xbox360 version ?

What do you mean?

Well from PES 2010 I meant. I couldn't score them conventionally and I tried so hard to figure out how to. By the sounds of it so did the people who left comments on the conveniently titled 'just how the heck do you score freekicks' (or something to that effect) Youtube video I ended up spying on in the end....which didn't seem to help either.

I've no idea what they were like on the BETA though.

maybe freekicks now equal to penalties? push shot button = how high; push left/right = how far to the side?

As long as EA owns exclusive rights to the important licenses, FIFA would need to put out a severly broken game three years in a row before Konami would even begin to have a chance of smashing them. God how I would love to see what Konami could do with the licences for a few years, but sadly EA's clout can't be matched. Damn EA's exclusive rights, damn them to hell!
