Dunno about in trouble - it'll still outsell and probably outscore PES - but for the hardcore FIFA has compromised while PES has been far bolder. I still harbour concerns about the final build maintaining a fair amount of that exploitability we've seen in the beta, which is part of what makes FIFA such a hateful experience online. But even if that were the case you still have the Community setup for code of honour gaming and an offline experience that is extremely deep. It's a game for the hardcore, and I expect games journalism to reflect that to it's broad range of readers.
Yeah, no I certainly did not mean to imply that FIFA won't sell a bazillion gazillion copies, I meant in trouble with me and others who are looking for the best representation of football in a game. Of course I don't plan on making any type of decision until I play both games, and in all honestly I can't see myself not buying FIFA this year, but based on that simple comparison FIFA looks rather poor.
And based on FIFA's reviews the last two years, you have higher expectations for reviews than me.
