Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

please have an option in the game where you can turn lawrensons commentary off he knows nothing about football jesus id even choose pleat ahead of that knobjockey and thats saying something!

He's not he best commentator, but he's been a professional football player for years.
How can you say he knows nothing about football ???
Those commentaries in games are recorded and always become repetitive very quick, it's not the same as IRL.
I watch MOTD every week and i think that Lawrenson is actually a very good pundit.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

He's very unpopular over here Gerd, in-fact all of the Match of the Day team are as a whole. Have a look at Radiation's post in the "Things That Piss Me Off" thread, for example.

I personally think they're a good bunch and that you can learn a little bit about strategy and positioning from them, but I'm massively outnumbered when it comes to liking them I think...

I think MOTD is one of the best football shows. Here on the continent MOTD is seen as something very, very special.
I think the level of analysis is very high...i've learnt a lot of football from the likes of Hansen, Shearer and Lawrenson...

Very true, everyone I know who loves football, watches MOTD every single time (or record it in mid-week because of the time difference). They pay such an attention to the detail and the analysis afterwards is miles ahead of what we get served over here in Belgium.

Re: PES 2009 News Discussion & Rumours (STRICTLY NO FIFA DEMO IMPRESSIONS)

Am I the only one who thinks that the badges and such on kits etc need to be higher resolution.

For example in this pic, the Liverpool badge seems fuzzy, more than the small size should allow.

In the PS2 versions etc the logos like Adidas, Nike, badges etc have always been extremely low-res (even to the point where it felt PS1 rather than 2), so I hope they really give this the "next-gen" treatment.

Well i dunno how to embed players so er...Lawro does stuff like call fans geeks and stuff :)

^ Heh that highlights the reason most folks over here think he is a bit of a numpty.

Personally i think he's funny, or maybe i'm laughing at his expense most of the time but all part of the entertainment.

Remember Wrighty leaving the team because he said he wasn't taken serious enough by the rest of them? Shame that his comments and enthusiasm used to crack me up sometimes.

Anyways on topic....Seems to be building momentum now and the cynical side of me is being chipped away at. I think i'm going to have fun with this version It's still not the stride you would want but i reckon it will tide me over at least.

The first thing is to edit it or wait for a option file when the game is out :D I hate to play with an old roster.
