AI will probably kill us before the bubble pops. Lookout for a big muscular dude with sunglasses looking for some kid named John.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity and laziness. No amount of computing power will ever overcome this. In fact, over reliance on AI may just accelerate this.

Never thought I would see this day.
Sold my 5090 for £3000 as they have gone up in price and bought a 5080 instead.
Basically a free GFX card.

Computer component prices at the moment are unbelievable.

Anyone here gave Nioh 3 demo a try or have preordered the game?

Bit late, but I put about 15 hours into the demo and another 12 into the retail version. I'm a massive fan of the series and Team Ninja games in general (Nioh 2 is one of my favorite games of all time). Despite having a few grievances with the third installment, it's been a fantastic experience thus far. It's more Nioh. If you enjoy "souls-likes," mechanically deep combat, system heavy action games that allow for a lot of skill and build expression, it's a no-brainer. Whilst some of the moment-to-moment difficulty has been toned down a bit too much for my liking, the bosses are still difficult and engaging. Not 100% sold on switching between Samurai and Ninja, but hey.

If you're new to the series, it's definitely the easiest and new player friendly of the three games in terms of the onboarding process. Nioh truly has one of the greatest combat systems ever created.

@Redhat Thanks I really enjoyed Nioh 2. I didn't finish it but go to the third? region I believe. It was a bit stressful but enjoyable game . I tried coming back to it a few weeks ago in preparation for nioh 3 and I just forgot everything. So decided to just do 3. I played the intro and am having fun, Im still a bit rusty but looking forward to getting the muscle memory back when I have a bit more time. tbh , I'm relieved they say its a bit newcomer friendly and difficulty is a bit easier although still punishing. Still looks like a great time.
What did you think of nioh 1?I got it for free on epic games and thought about installing but then read its just borderline unfair with the difficulty . So for now nigh 3 will do

Anybody using Steam Big Picture? I knew it's there but never had an opportunity/need to use it. And just found out it's bloody awesome!

I have my own computer in the first floor of our flat. It's very good but from time to time I'd like to have a comfort of "couch gaming" in living room. I never really trough about that but just recently I cam around Moonlight and Sunshine. I knew I tried Moonlight for "tablet" gamig via PC few years ago but I remember it sucks.

But now it's different - both PC and living room TV is connected via LAN cabel in my internal local network. And it works flawlessly. 4k gaming on TV in living room with almost zero latency. FIFA 16 modded in living room, cool! I would encourage anybody who have local cabel network to give it a go.

And Steam Big Bicture works awesome, even with nonsteam games. It's console comfort with PC gaming experience! This is how I imagine Steam Machine.

Anyone managed to get Ubisoft+ for a decent price via any different methods? Mine expires next month and it's saying it's going up from 107 EUR I paid last year to 178 EUR which is a massive jump! I didn't even get an email to say the price was going up :(

Who’s ready for Crimson Desert?!

I just lately caught up to the title… possible rug pull in mind… I’m looking forward to it. 😊

Can’t wait to stress my 9070XT a bit on the 55* 4K living room TV.

It seems a bit too weird for me - looks great in parts, and then all of a sudden there's robots in it?...

Well… several other games had a certain tech aspect; a genre mix, and it wasn’t for the bad. …if one is into such games!

„Too much on the plate and making that all taste good together“… thats where I see the biggest challenge.

When I heard about it recently, I watched the trailer.
And I thought it was okay. But when I saw dragons and mechs/robots, I lost interest.

I'm kinda with Carles and Chris here mate... I mean, when the previews first came out, I was all over this game... But then the overly exaggerated particle effects made me go "meh"... Thankfully, based on preview videos (on gaming bolt or gameranx) devs stated they will make those optional... Like, there will probably be a slider for the particle effects amount (which would be kinda obvious, but you never know, right?).

But yeah, then the mechs / robots / tech stuff kinda ruined it for me, unfortunately. :((

i do get your view on things... personal taste is fine.
myself i never really played FF, but f.e. Zelda and AC... and the tech aspects i enjoyed.

also it seems like im getting a lot of different gameplay mechanics from certain titles i like (adding witcher, kcd and farcry here) in one title.

trying not to get overhyped but i'm looking forward to release.

Good evening, mates. Does anyone know of a good table mount for the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and can recommend one to me?

My table has a support surface that is approx. 3.3 cm high. The width (where my legs are underneath) is approx. 66 cm from left to right. Just in case this information is useful in any way.

Have a nice evening and thanks in advance for any help! I appreciate any assistance you can give me!

Is there no one who can help me in my search?

2 min… just copying your comment into AI:

I dig the community approach though. 😉

Sorry, I don't use AI and don't want to use it either.

Thanks for your help anyway. Are you familiar with the products you linked to? Are they high quality?

I also found some on Amazon. But I was very unsure because the brand names somehow reminded me of cheap Chinese products.
Or rather, I don't know anything about the brand names, so I'm not familiar with them.

I just know 2 from back in the days when I wanted to build something. The latest product is quality. The Amazon ones should do fine. Don’t overthink it.

I saw Legion Go S on a discount here in Iceland, one was Steam OS and the other Windows. As someone who doesn't know much about PC stuff I would think a straight up Steam OS machine would be better to have but then I started thinking that I would want to use it to play retro stuff and maybe a Windows OS would be better. Anyway, The discount is no longer there but I was thinking that if they drop again down the line, which one do you think would be a better option for someone looking to play older games and maybe even go for some
questionable ways to play old games
?

Suggestions for other handhelds welcome as well.

If you play a lot of Steam go fully SteamOS, and for retro just install EmuDeck on it coz its easy to install and can reach lots of emulators into the main Emulation Station, in that way you kill two birds from one shoot. Regading handhelds, one that runs flawlesly SteamOS so you can enjoy EmuDeck.

Not retro, but I do use RPCS3 to play my PS3 backups when I feel like it.
Super easy handling, some cool titles.

If you want to go real retro buy R36S for 20 € and you have almost unlimited amount of games available in a good package :)

You'll better run them free and put your gun away
They want to fly and with own birdies-childs stay
Forget about even Dendy games with old-kind reality VR
And as was said by Kipling: You will be complete man and honor sir!

Sorry, mates ... but few words from me

DLSS 5 is coming soon.
Internet has been moaning about it alot, so am I the only person who thinks that the games look better with the technology?

But right now, it's not making them look more like their character design. It's making them look like different people, with bad facelifts and worse makeup.

It will get better when it can be supported in-game with reference images, but right now, to quote myself from the FC thread, it looks like this:
