Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Just post the official transfers in this thread guys. No speculation or links or something that's not 100% done deal!

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Yeah...oopss... saw the Kallstrom--> Lyon post and thought I was in the rumour thread ;)

Either way, Lyon look to have it wrapped up, which is a shame for us.

(What is the price of the transfer?)

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Feyenoord are getting rid of Gianni on permanent basis? :|

I thought a loan move for next year might have been more likley than selling him!

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Yeah Feyenoord did want to loan out Gianni again, but he wanted more security, so now he signed for 3 years at Heerenveen, i think it will be good for his development, Heerenveen is always near the top5 and plays UEFA cup again.

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Yep I see that makes more sense now since it was the player's wish and not the club's.

I too think this will be a good move for him although by no means will he be guaranteed a starting place in Heerenveen either. He'll still have to fight for it but at least it will be a bit easier to get into the team and also SC Heerenveen staff and club in general usually do handle the youngsters and aid them in their development quite well so I too think this will hopefully be another one. ;)

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Let's hope it's not final. Best place for Gourcuff to continue growing as he has done this past year is right where he's at, Ligue 1 and to be more specific Rennes! Which almost guarantees he'll get regular playing time when fit and continue improving as a player as he did this past year drastically!

Anything else could make yet another wonderful player not fulfill his potential due to warming up bench half the time or being under excessive media and fan pressure from bigger clubs like Lyon and Milan which many youngsters don't deal with very well and moving too soon

I wish there was some way Rennes could hang on to him but now it seems rather unlikely :/

I'd even be happy if he left to play for his dad and Lorient next year but there is no way they can afford him I guess.

Replacing Rui Costa I guess.

I said that last weekend! \\:o/

They just need to replace Sheva, I bet Toni, he's Italian plus it's the best Italian stryker in Serie A. ;)

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

I'm one of those people who think hes a good striker. Hes fast, strong, good in the air, and a good finisher. Sure he dives abit, but other than that hes a good forward.

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

i agree with milanista. i think he will fit milan even better than he does with chelsea. good player, even with sometimes a questionable attitude. ;)

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006

Milanista, he was really great in Marseille, but in Chelsea he's awful. :|

Re: Official Transfers Only - Summer 2006
