yes you're right humility is an important fact in a player development but not always, anyway wish him the best he's was amazing at Dortmund i was hoping to see him in London but it is what it is :)

He's also more down to earth - I find Hazard's personality to be very annoying/mercenary.

I presume you know Hazard personally Stef?
Hazard is far from a prima donna, he has the luck and the bad luck that he is overhyped. He never claimed to be next Messi or CR Ronaldo.

He was lucky because of the hype, because now he has this huge salary.
He is unlucky because all the fans of the team who would have wanted him will follow him very sceptical. Personally i think he will have a very difficult season, but i don't think he is to blame for the hype and the high profile.

IMO Kagawa will be a better transfer. Hazard definitely is not as good as everybody thinks, but he is not to blame for that and he has made the most of it. Can't say i wouldn't do the same thing.

And on top of that you also know that most Asians are less egocentric than most Europeans. In that Kagawa seems a typical Japanese person and Hazard a more typical European one.

I know Hazard's father and judged by what he told me about the hype, Hazard is pretty down to earth (Belgium sees him as the nest best player of the world since he's 16 and France since he's 18, the same is happening with out under 16 team, according to pundits they are all much better than Hazard, the same happened with Lukaku...it's crazy, but those players are no to blame).

Rant over, sorry...

Enough said :WORSHIP:

Well said Gerd.

It seems to me that the recent MEDIA hype has misled many about Eden's personality. He's not like most think and I wouldn't say Kagawa is more humble.

I've had the pleasure of watching both for a few years now since their emergence as teenagers until now and they're both very talented. But Kagawa is definitely more 'selfish' in his play than Hazard actually. Everyone watching BVB regularly will tell you that while guys like Gotze (despite obvious more talent than Kagawa) nearly always played for the team, Shinji does regularly try to do things 'on his own' and try to 'shine' by shooting when he could pass to a team-mate in better position or try to dribble 3 players when he could've released a nice pass after dribbling past two.

I fully expect Sir Alex to sort him out and moving to a massive club like United and being fairly young still, he will I'm sure be a lot LESS self-fish and learn to play more for the team. But it's interesting now that some who haven't even watched these two regularly have it the other way around and think Kagawa is some humble Japanese while Eden's an egotistical selfish kid.

It was Milanista who triggered my reaction, but this is not about him (Stef is a nice and moderated guy). It's the fact that the media hype has indeed misled quite a few people who support other clubs than Chelsea (maybe because they are disappointed that Hazard isn't playing for their club) and presume that this guy is a major prima donna without having seen him (as most English football fans don't bother with other competitions). The guy was loved in Lille, because he genuinely played for the team and for the club.
