i also think postiga is a great player. i just didn't get how he didn't play more on spurs...and i think his possition on the team was not the best...he's more a central forward/striker playing best at 4-4-2. but he'll probably come to Benfica (and then we'll buy him if he plays well) cause i think spurs want to loan Portillo.

It's also known here that postiga's favourite club is Benfica (although he played in Porto) and that's one more reason for us to pick him.

we'll see how he does in euro'04...if he gets a chance to play...

soundtracker he did play upfront in a 442 for the most part it was just our midfield that let him down. they would barely get the ball to his feet in good positions and get into the final third to support him. all they were good for really is giving it to robbie keane and letting him take it round about 5 players, or hoofing it up to kanoute. it would be a real shame if he did leave cus now we have a decent manager im sure he will be a hit if he stays. he had a few stinkers but he did have some really good games as well. on his home debut against leeds he was basically playing like henry (with a little less pace). oh well, if we do let him move on it will be our loss and your gain. portillo rumour is probably bull though, wev been linked with him in the last 3 transfer windows and nothings looked like happening.

Milan's dream buy is Ronaldinho
Monday, 07 June 2004

by Nadia Carminati

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits his dream signing would be Ronaldinho.

The Rossoneri executive is a lover of the Brazilian's talents but appreciates it would be impossible to lure him away from Barcelona.

"My preference is for Brazilian players," said Galliani. "They play in a good way, they still smile, they are loyal.

"If I had to reveal my dream, I'd say Ronaldinho.

"But he isn't on the market. And everyone will write now that Milan want him!"

However, Galliani does not think Samba star Luis Fabiano will be arriving at San Siro this summer.

"Luis Fabiano is a good player but there are two problems," he added. "Firstly he's not an EU player and, to make space for him, it would be necessary to make another player leave.

"The second is that he's a little bit too expensive.

"We like him, we will see in the next few years. This one, absolutely not.

"As for (Edgar) Davids, we preferred giving up not to upset (Rino) Gattuso, (Clarence) Seedorf and (Massimo) Ambrosini. In these years, I've learnt that it is better having a champion less in the team but more tranquility in the dressing room."

Hes most likely heading to Roma according to Italian newspaper.

Well apparently hes pretty surely going to an English club.

Lens accordingly want to bring back Czech Republic player Vladimir Smicer from Liverpool.

Rigobert Song is a possible transfer target for Galatasaray, and Bixente Lizarazu says he would like to move to Tottenham to follow Jacques Santini but also interested are Lyon.

Alexandr Hleb sid he wants to leave Stuttgart and seek a challenge elsewhere. The destination preffered seems to be England and Liverpool are favourites to sign him.

Hleb is an absolutely amazing player, imo Juve could even use him !!
There has been no link tot that whatsoever though, So i'll prefer him to stay in Stuttgart; my home team :).

I dont think the transfer will go through. But they have said talks have taken place.

Sabri Lamouchi and Sylvain Wiltord are the latest players to be linked with a move to Tottenham. Also Aston Villa have made a bid for Nantes player Mathieu Berson.

Gonzalo Rodriguez from San Lorenzo (ARG) to Villarreal for 3,2 m €.

spurs are actually being lniked with every french player at the minute.

most recent is thuram (juventus>tottenham). sounds pretty laughable to me. wev also been linked with the swiss player patrick miller(sp?).

I beleive this deal is official.

Villarreal has confirmed it, but Italian Gazzetta dello Sport says that the player is wanted by Inter...I think he is a Villarreal player...Coloccini will not stay in the roster next season.

Gilardino is the Barça target if Trezeguet remains in Turin.

Elber and Brdaric have signed for Sttutgart (calciomercato.com)
