Dont you guys watch the PL? its very exciting from top to bottom. just look at last season and how many teams were fighting for 4th spot. Lest look at teams from the top 10 minus the 3 usual suspects at teh top and how many german sides could beat the likes of man city, aston villa, liverpool, fulham etc etc?

I 'd say PL is as strong as ever. Now i dont watch the german or italian league but what makes a league good? entertainment?

quality of the football? what? Yes the money is ruin the PL. Many need to see exactly what wenger is doing to arsenal and give credit for it as i am begining to understand his phylosaphy that can go a long way of helping the english game flourish.

@plf you have described what wenger is doing or done in arsenal. great stadium, great academy and not owned by no billionare

jonney you're arguing with people about leagues you just admitted you've never watched. Stop now before you make yourself look really silly.

If your basis of how strong a league is purely on the 3-4 teams at top (15-20% of the league) and their cup-performance in CL rather than the whole 18 or 20, that make up the 100% of it and all the other factors that need to be taken into consideration, then, that's a fundamental error and nothing further can be said really to fix that view.

Bundesliga as a whole though, without doubt, with everything considered from strength of top, mid-table, relegation battlers to attendances which are highest all around Europe, to their coaches/managers/ tactical discipline, youth development (which NOW many are starting to see) to stadiums/pitches/ marketing, organization, stability of the financial system and clubs, sponsors, the WHOLE f'n deal, EVERYTHING considered is truly one of THE very best leagues in the world and also on an upward spiral and ever improving. The word Average and Bundesliga simply don't belong in the same sentence. Because if Bundesliga is average (median) then 95% of other leagues in the world apart from perhaps 3 others must be pure CRAP then (which in reality they're not, many of those are average) since the rest are not on par with the German's top division. Calling a club like Schalke 'average' is of course quite amusing in its own way as well but not as unforgivable.

EDIT: But anyway, I also always wanted to see Raul stay and FINISH his career with Real Madrid :/ Not thrilled about this at all. Felix Magath and Raul are both geniuses though and know what they're doing.

:APPLAUD:

It's over rated as is Spain, but I see Spain, England and Germany as pretty much the same quality, but I'd opt for the Bundesliga as being the best definitely as the top of the league is less predictable than the other two and more competitive. France, Italy would follow those for me, then after that is between too many nations. Still a conversation for a different thread.

Also Inter academy is full of italian players, but what is important is the first team. And both Inter and Arsenal are a shame (I'm an Inter fan).

Whats inter milans excuse? i know arsenals one and thats 30m for milner. In other words, overpriced english players.

Now, are italian players overpriced?

Of course the EPL is overrated.
Just look at how both national teams are doing at the World Cup.
The German teams is a team where every single player is playing in the Bundesliga.

EPL is cannibalizing English players. The World Cup is the best proof that English players (the "golden generation") are simply not good enough both tecnically and tactically.

IMO the Bundesliga is the most exciting league in Europe. But jonney's reaction is a litle bit typical for the mentality in English football: other leagues don't interest them. It took foreign managers to build big clubs: Wenger, Ferguson, Mourinho, Benitez.

So what happened to italy then? i think i saw someone mention their league highly above EPL.

my point is the world cup is not a good indication on how strong a league is mate because italy have great players in their league that wasnt used in the world cup. same goes for france and england.

Many italian fans said how the manager fucked up by not including more youth in their side. Same with france. Is that the leagues fault? does failing to pick the best team for the country the leagues fault?

nope. World cup doesnt indicate how shit or good a league is. Would the german league be shit had germany been knocked out in the group stages of the world cup?

Lorik CANA (Sunderland) --> GALATASARAY 4,5m£

Jonny, can you name me 10 truly great English players who were not in the England squad?
I think 99% of the football fans agreed with at least 15 players of the squad Capello selected.

In italy there was a problem, but Serie A has much more homegrown players in the starting eleven of the clubs (Admitted: Inter being the big exception).

Define great mate? If you look at the german squad, how many are considered great if by great you mean world class established players.

What the world cup has shown is that its not about how many world class players you have in the tea, but how well the players PLAY as a team.

i agree. most of the england players were good selection but when you throw in heskey alongside rooney and play gerrard as a winger all goes to shit

Jovanovic has scored most goals for Serbia in qualifications for WC,and he scored goal against Germany on WC.Great technique and dribbling he has.I think he is top scorer in Belgium league this season.

Inter use the same excuse, because it's more cheaper to buy players in South America and Africa, rather than Italy.

BTW, the pole defender Glik (young member of Poland National) ---> Palermo

Yeah we shouldn't get too side-tracked as we are going off-topic but just to finish this off.

Wow, Gala get Cana! Good player and Muslim too so I think fans will especially like him. He's been captain every club he's been at and many SOON after joining. Just ask OM fans and Sunderland ones where he walked in and became captain! Wonder how long it'll take him to get Galatasaray captaincy. One year? Two years? Maybe never... if he doesn't settle well..

Of course we watch EPL! We love it! it's great! :D And it is getting better and better as well in my opinion as well. :)
For me, Football wouldn't be same without EPL. But EPL doesn't make football nor define it. It's one part of it. One of the great parts about modern football. If it were gone, I would SERIOUSLY miss it. But I AM so glad that we do have other options and other leagues which offer their own qualities like Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga in particular. The top 5 though Russian/Turkish league are catching on as well and improving with each passing season.

But we weren't arguing about EPL's quality, were we? EPL's great but everybody knows that. If anything, TOO many people know about it while not knowing enough about other leagues which makes it a little over-rated in the general average public's view despite it's greatness.

I just said that like EPL, Bundesliga is one of the very top leagues in the world and anybody who watches it will tell you that, so to call it average is hilarious and misinformed.

That would be like someone admitting Chelsea is a great team but saying Man Utd and Arsenal are simply average. Simply not true.

Wolfsburg management is GOD! Great ambitious people in charge of this club! Very proud of them! :WORSHIP:

And for only like $13M apparently! By next season he'll probably be worth $20M and Wolfsburg might have to sell him like they probably will have to with Dzeko. But they will make great money and get great service.

Wolfsburg management is commercial nothing more.
Fucking Volkswagen concern, the most hated club in Germany next
