If he goes to them Toons,i cant see him as a first choice striker either, same situation at United for him...if only he had Ole's mentality, any manager's dream player to have.

gerd like jamie_mack says, everyone apart from Leeds fans hates Leeds, dirty dirty Leeds!

If i read this, i'm beginning to love them more and more...I'm fond of lost cases, underdogs and outcasts....
Well, let's hope they get promotion and the year after: Champions (hahahahahahahahaha)

Completely off-topic but i don't know how to ask this otherwise and reading an answer (you will understand why): How come that can't open threads consisting of one page...Well i can open them but then i have a message along the line of: "this topic doesn't exist"

Leeds aren't underdogs or lost cases, people don't like them because they're scum! Well, that's for me anyway :).

For the forum problem I know what you mean, sometimes it just happens and you need to look at the page before, or else first navigate to the section (Football, Off Topic, etc) and then click on the thread. Sometimes the forum just acts strange.

as the old saying goes nobody likes us and we don't care. we are secure in our identity.

*BREAKING NEWS*
Real Madrid have accepted a 20 million pound offer from chelsea for left back Roberto Carlos

its on Sky Sports News

i reckon chelsea have too much money for their own good.

they bought some quality players over the last season, and even though they finished empty-handed, i thought they did extremely well for a side that hasn't had all that much time to gel.

but after that one season, it seems as if they're ready to ship in a whole host of new faces. i'm not saying that morientes and carlos aren't top quality players (i can't think of many clubs that WOULDN'T want to sign them), but the problems with chelsea right now aren't that the squad is particularly weak, or that it lacks depth - the problem is that the team hasn't been given enough time to figure itself out.

the way they're going, chelsea will probably sign half of real, appoint mourinho as coach, run into the same problems next season and just throw around some more money to buy some new talent.

Says on the site, that Chelsea have not contacted Real. He also wants a 4 year deal, good news for Bridges eh?

They're also rumoured to be the club that has made an offer for Davids who has rejected a deal with Barca.

Chelsea officials in Betis.

Definitely for the transfer of Joaqin. This is big news. Negotiating for a 26 Million offer. This would be great for us.

Any Spanish users here can confirm?

Doesnt Joaquin play on the left? I dunno cuz I never seen him play, but I thought he was on the left, and therefore, another Duff/Robben type player.

ghazi he plays on the right, and stop posting on other web sites :)

Ghazi (Chicago, IL): Seems funny that all the venom for Real Madrid's failings seem to fall at Beckham's feet, when Raul, Zidane and others have played so poorly. Your opinions on the causes of the demise, and your opinion on Becks' new role in the middle of the field. . . . we all know he's no Makelele, and that Makelele's retention would have made a difference. PEACE

Tommy Smyth: Real Madrid ended up with many problems this year. Basically, their biggest problem was at the back. They have too many defenders who want to go forward and forget that their main job is to do some defending. I had an interview with David Beckham last week in Madrid, and he indicated to me that he wasn't all that happy with his new role as more-or-less a defensive mid-fielder, rather than an attacking midfielder. He also indcated to me that he would like to get forward much more often but was intent on playing the role that his coach required from him. As for so much venom going Beckham's way, I think it's a case of paying the price for having such a high profile. Beck turned out to be a very friendly and very cooperative young man. He seemed to me to be very happy at Real Madrid and indicated that he would like to play there for a few years. He also indicated that he has a very deep respect for the U.S. and for the lifestyles in the U.S. He said he would not mind at all, at some point in his career, playing in the U.S. I think that Real has bought a quality defender in Samuel, that they are starting to address one of their big problems. I am sure you are going to see more changes one of those may be that Figo may be on his way out.

Tommy Smyth: In fact, Cold Pizza on ESPN2 Thursday morning will carry some of the Beckham interview. Tune in!

No Joaqin plays on the right. Oh my god, if this is true, imagine our midfield.

Mido apparently to have talks with Newcastle. Other interested clubs are AS Roma, Besiktas and Athletico Madrid.

Stacked, excellent players leaving, and a waste of money. Thats what i imagined.

Someone quoted that they were the new intermilan. That sums it up. Chelsea do not have the time or patience to let a team gel, and you have to have that if you are going to contend for titles.

funny how chelsea still have there knockers, 2nd in the league and got further than most of the big teams in europe

if they get Carlos, Joaquin / Beckham and a centre back they will be a class team

i agree with you super mick, but they were able to do so because they brought in new players to complement the existing squad. Bringing in Roberto Carlos is going to cause problems with the development of bridges. Joaquin is a smart buy because there is a lack of quality on the right. i think the biggest issue is the effect of chelsea on the entire league. man u and arsenal will be fine, but in the long run having the likes of cole, duff, bridges etc... sitting on the bench weakens the league when they could be starring for other clubs. the only club to win with this formula was real madrid but they already had a foundation of 7 to 8 players in place.

i agree with you also, i want to see duff, parker and cole play week in week out but the only way its going to stop is when players start realising whats happening

as i mentioned wuth parker before, i was shocked when he left charlton for a place on chelseas bench

where did you hear this m8? because Mido is awesome :D

You don't want Mido Stuart, he's big trouble off the pitch. He's had difficulties in every club he has been and imho he's not better than Bellamy (as a "long range" fan of Newcastle i wonder what happened to Bellamy, i found him excellent).

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!...Big Sale at Barca!! 6 Players going for 50% off!! Players on offer are;
1.Patrick Kluivert
2.Phillip Cocu
3.Micheal Reiziger
4.Marc Overmars
5.Rustu Recber
6.Edgar Davids via Juventus

Rumoured

Kluivert >>> Boro
Overmars >>> Boro IF we dont get Zenden

Afford. Yes
Want to pay that much. No

We've got a wage cap in place and its rumour that Kluivert would want £90k and our wage cap is around £40k. Although it might have been broken for Mendi so whos to say if its Broken for Kluivert. But Keith Lamp our Cheif Exec. is out in Barca now apparently.

Yeah I think he is trouble, however I'm a fan of his ability wise. He is amazing in the air and got great ability. He's far superior to Bellamy for me, only pace is the thing Bellamy is better than him at.
