New Information
Rockstar programmers told us that maybe in the final game we can change tattoos or clotes on CJ.
All game's pedestrians have a "brain" and they react more actively respect the past GTA's, with more animations.
Dan Houser [co-founder of Rockstar Games] says that he cannot find any way to complete the game in less than 150 hours.
The dimensions are enormous. Keep in mind that just Los Santos is as big as the entire play area of Vice City and it is just ¼ of the dimension of the map of San Andreas. Between the three centers, there is also the famous ‘countryside’, which we didn’t see and weren’t told anything about except that the visual profundity, in the pastoral region, will be four times that seen before.
-- There are three cities and twelve small towns, such as Angel Pine and Dillamore.
-- Players will once again find themselves equipped with a camera for some missions.
- The twelve small towns often consist of only two junctions and a few buildings, featuring a liquor store, bakery, pottery and much more.
- When flying, the radar map changes into an attitude instrument (artificial horizon), so orientation is easier.
- Realistic truck trailer physics.
- You can start your own gang and get your own gang weapons and cars.
- You can train your muscles to become stronger.
Three countryside missions:
In the 1st mission CJ has to help his buddy, who is hunted by a motorbike gang and needs a diversionary maneuver. So Carl races trough the forest in a jeep, with the gang after him - since they assume the victim is in the car. CJ has to stop them from destroying the doors to keep it a secret. As soon as you pass the checkpoint race your cellphone rings - your buddy is safe, and you get the $400 reward.
The 2nd mission starts at a trailer park. CJ is blackmailed into killing an important witness, who hides in a hut on Mt. Chiliad. Carl arrives there with a Sanchez, first killing two FBI agents and then the witness. Since the blackmailer wants to see evidence, CJ takes a photo of the corpse, and drives back to the trailer park.
For the 3rd mission in the demonstration, Rockstar used a cheat to spawn a Dodo to save time (claiming that using a car would have taken them 15 minutes), and lands near a small hut in the forest. There the gas station mission starts, where CJ and the yet unknown girl try to steal the tanker.
They also wrote that the PS2 lagged during their presentation, but they hope R* get this fixed in the remaining months, as well as a few boring and stretched countryside textures.
Entire state of San Andreas included, meaning three cities will be present in the game, each connected by countryside. Los Santos, a fictional Los Angeles, San Fierro, a rendition of San Francisco, and La Venturra, which is the Grand Theft Auto version of Las Vegas.
The twelve small towns often consist of only two junctions and a few buildings, featuring a liquor store, bakery, pottery and much more.
Larger map, which is much more interesting and "alive" than Vice City. Hills have been confirmed, and even a mountain is to be included, which is tall enough to take up to ½ a minute to ascend in a helicopter.
Tweaked Vice City engine, which can support up to four times the draw distance in rural areas compared to the previous game. Real time reflections, on metal areas of cars, and real time mirrors will be included.
A great deal of effort has ensured that countryside areas look and feel organic, with rivers, forests, rolling fields and desert areas. The development team has also improved urban areas by rounding off what would previously be 'square', right-angled corners.
Smog will be present in Los Santos to give it a "real life" feeling.
In Las Venturra, set up a casino, or gamble in those owned by others.
Countryside areas feature unique vehicles which won't appear in the urban areas, such as a quad bike.
Improved transition between night and day, with a more immersive feeling included in each.
Anyone remember 'CHIPS'!
