I think that was down to all their opponents having a red or white kit, so they wore blue to avoid colour clashes. UEFA of course being a bit fussy. I used to have a blue Croatia shirt from Euro 2008 with "Petrić 21" on the back (he's a bit of a legend here in Wales!), but I threw it away last year.

P.S. those Mexico kits, look like something from the early 2000's, but then again, football in the Olympics, complete waste of time, shouldn't even register on the pissing radar!!!!!!!!

Looks pretty much identical to the Real Madrid kit (11-12).Infact it's the same,minus the polo collar.
 
Looks like Arsenal will have the new home kit for two seasons, this was posted on the Official Arsenal Facebook account:

'Have you picked up your 2012/14 Arsenal home kit yet? Upload a pic of you and your new kit to our Facebook wall and we’ll be collecting them into an album which we will update regularly!'
 
Funnily enough there was rumours abound that our new kit was going to be like Real Madrid's from last season with the gold trim. Sure enough here's the result! Got it on pre-order! :P

Also we could well be having an ex-Real Madrid player as manager as well.

P.S. hint of irony about our "Swansalona" nickname, we once had an away kit in the 70's which was identical to Barça's at the time, yellow with a blue and red sash. Wouldn't mind that as a third strip, seeing as we'll need one for Stoke and Mackems.

adidas are overdoing the gold. you can pull of a classic centenary kit, this is just chavtastic.

It's about bloody time teams got back to the 2 year home kit.

Ridiculous swapping it every season.
 
The worst thing about having a new kit every year is some teams are getting some really horrible/inappropriate kits just so they have something new to put out. Of course that also means when someone gets a nice kit it's quickly gone too.
