I don't like when uniforms look like supporters stuff, the polo design + the cotton looking style looks like a regular clothing, not a football uniform for professional players.
It's completely made for supports to use in the day-to-day basis, Nike is pushing this too far now, they don't even consider this is supposed to be a football shirt for the players first anymore.
It' the only brand that does this so hard, I'm so glad Juve is leaving this shitty brand next season.

Is there such a thing as a football uniform? It's been altered/ changed so much over the years, how can you even distinguish what is and what's not. It's merely another promotion tool, you know. It's good thing when it looks appealing to the supporters, it sells more.

I like it. Although it is a bit plain and reminds me of current Arsenal away kit it at least doesn't look like they are wrapped in plastic bags. It actually looks like it is a shirt made from fabric.

When you see a football shirt you know it is one. Take an simple example.
Even if you take every logo and sponsor off you still know this is something meant for sport usage, it has that sports technological feeling to the designs, seams and materials.
Now that that Werder and take the logos out, looks like something bought as regular clothing, you would never think it has some sport usage.
And that is what I hate, I don't care if it sells more or less I want it to look like something related to the sport, and Nike is the lone king of doing the opposite of that these days.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Since when does the technology or the gear make the sport? I do care about the fabric, but it doesn't matter to me if it's "ClimaCool" or "ClimaLight"; if it's "TechFit" or just "Regular" fit. That's all superficial.
That Werder kit looks plenty fine. I'd be proud to see it on my team's players or on myself, but I guess it's all very subjective, isn't it?

I never said it makes the sport, I said I personally hate it when it looks like regular non-sportive clothing, and that's how that Werder kit looks like even if you like it.
I also explained why I mentioned the cotton, it was associated with the polo design making these things combined look even more like regular clothing. I don't care either if it's climacool or dri-fit or whatever, there is much more on it and I do care about what the uniforms transmit to be honest.
I don't wanna see a movie about astronauts and have them using pajamas in space even if it had the same technological appeal, I want them to use gear that looks like proper gear for it because that makes the atmosphere better.
And yes kits have changed though the years, but so have boots and all the rest, it's just stupid to have a shirt that looks like a polo top together with a pink extremely technological boot like most players use these days, I like things to match and make sense together.

Kappa have a german division with own designers. That's why Borussias has/had cool and unique designs, while italian designs are more conservative (maybe too much).Even more interesting is how the German clubs (Gladbach, BVB) get unique designs and templates from Kappa while the Italian clubs (reminding it's an Italian brand) get the generic stuff.
Same thing happens in South America, just take a look at Tigre's kit posted some days ago
