Quick thoughts on BallStreams:
I paid $99 for a year pass. It provides live streams as well as an archive of any game in the past. I haven't really looked back too far but they had all the FIBA games from the summer...
Quality: they offer a 3200KB stream which i guess is on par with a 720p video, as well as a lower quality version.
Playback: there are options to skip various intervals at the click of a mouse, go to a specific minute of the feed and finally a timeline like you would get on youtube so you can scroll to the half way point or so. Its available via your browser but the game changer for me is the XBMC plugin. you also can download a roku, chromecast app which i have yet to try.
Features: It has all the games like I mention. For each game you can choose the Home broadcasting feed or the Away. They have highlights of each game but its simply the ~2mins that you typically get on nba.com. Finally, possibly the best feature is the ability to freeze your account. So in my case, i bought a year pass, if i decide to go on holiday or the Finals have finished, i can freeze my account for a certain time where i won't have access but at the same time the days that go by won't count against my subscription. This is all well and good until copyrights come in and take them down. Apparently they're from holland where they're lax about this sorta thing. For me its half the price of league pass, slightly more convenient with the exceptions of missing Condensed highlights, a better interface and dedicated iOS apps. I use most of it on xbmc so i'm happy with this setup
