Why was there a massive ruck afterwards?!

Probably some gangsters from the Japanese underworld. The Yakuza are well involved in the Japanese fight scene.

The guy in the studio was Akira Maeda. His an ex pro-wrestler and it was his promotion where the that fight happened.

That isn't him btw (some think it is) someone said it was to him and he just had a laugh and agreed

Wow!!! What an event that was! I didn't watch it live, but got up at 10am this morning and watched it. Some superb fights! New UFC record for fastest knockout! Some great ground skills on show and some great knockouts.

Nogeira was just good on the ground for Randy. When they were stood up and exchanging punches it could have gone either way but once it went to ground there was a clear advantage for Nogeira. Great fight though, really lived up to the expectations!

There were some decent fights but some shockers. Yeah there were quick knockouts but some of its just mediocre. I mean look at the fastest KO in UFC History. The guy got put down by a jab with his chin up hands down. Is it too much to ask that fighters at this level can do the basic requirement of not leaving themself wide open to be hit. It's not great striking but just ridiculous defensive skills.

Randy v Noguiera was better than I thought it would ever be but lets not kid ourselves. Both fighters are totally shot. Funny hearing Goldberg and Rogan say "This is the real Noguiera". He was fighting a 46 year old FFS. Granted that 46 year old was in great shape but doesnt matter how many muscles you got. The body can only do so much at 46. Noguiera makes Sakuraba look fast on his feet. He cannot move to avoid punches. His a very old 33. His finished and Brock would destroy him.

Two MMA fighters are going to star in upcoming films:

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson as BA Baracus:
UFC star Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson will play Sgt Bosco 'BA' Baracus in the movie adaptation of '80s TV series The A-Team.

According to The Vancouver Sun, Jackson has withdrawn from his Ultimate Fighting Championship commitments so that he can appear in the movie. He was reportedly spotted near the film's Vancouver set last Friday.

Jackson was linked to the role last month, but his representative swiftly denied rumours that he would take on the role made famous by Mr T.

The A-Team will star Liam Neeson as Col John 'Hannibal' Smith and The Hangover's Bradley Cooper as Lt Templeton 'Faceman' Peck.

And Gina Carano to star in Steven Soderbergh's Knockout:
Former American Gladiator and MMA fighter Gina Carano will star in Steven Soderbergh’s new film, Knockout. Now the “face of women’s mixed martial arts,” Carano played Crush on NBC’s failed revival of “American Gladiators.”

Described as a “James Bond” style spy thriller, the film centers on a girl from the “wrong side of the tracks” is given a chance to put her punchisizing skills to good use. Paraphrasing, of course. Variety described it as closer to the action of Kill Bill or La Femme Nikita than Million Dollar Baby’s ring-side drama.

Carano doesn’t have any acting experience, but that shouldn’t be a problem for Soderbergh who regularly discovers fresh faces like porn star Sasha Grey in The Girlfriend Experience. The 7 wins-1 loss MMA fighter appeared in a reality show on the sport called “Fight Girls” and a documentary titled “Ring Girls.” (We get it, they’re girls.) She also voiced Natasha in the video game Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

Relativity Media is fronting the “reasonable budget” for the “mainstream action film with universal appeal” and Soderbergh, who waived his upfront salary for a take of the earnings. It’s a certainly a good sign that he’s confident in its success with an unknown in the lead. Though Soderbergh promises to surround Carano with name actors for marketing appeal. With three Oscar nominations and one win on his record, I have no doubt Soderbergh knows what he’s doing.

Soderbergh just finished a dark comedy (The Informant!) with another Bond-type hero, Matt Damon. It’s getting good reviews out of the Venice Film Festival.
Which is an excuse to post another picture of her ;)

I'm pleased with both of those news items. A-Team remake = win and Gina Carano = Massive win :D

The problem is the twat Rampage has gone and pulled out of another fight because of it

This time its against his apparent big rival Rashad Evens

The more i here of Rampage the more i think he just wants to be famous and not a fighter at all. Especially after he spurned the chance to fight for a belt to go on TUF instead. What fighter would do that?

Channel 5 has stuck a deal with UFC to show there "Main Event" program

Its highlights once a month showing certain fights that happened earlier that month

here what Dana White has to say which made me laugh

This is a huge step for the UFC in the UK. We are delighted to partner up with FIVE – who are trailblazers in their approach to both sports and programming – and bring the best bouts and the world’s greatest fighters to the largest possible audience. We know we are going to create a whole new generation of UFC fans on FIVE. The Five owners must have told a few porkeys haha

I am confused as Rampage was champion when he appeared in TUF 7. UFC asked him and griffin to be coaches to setup the angle before there title match.
