If you wanna get all excited and hyped up, I suggest you check out the GameFAQs XB360 message boards over the next couple of days. Its full of 'OMG MY XB360 HAS BEEN DESPATCHED' topics, so we get to see the launch unfold across the pond

Whats pissing me off is Ebay wankers who are selling there xbox 360's for 350-400 quid while not having actually received them yet. The sellers are saying that xbox 360's have sold out everywhere.
Yet, you can still buy one on amazon.co.uk which will be dispached dec 4-6.

Dunno how you worked that out, Amazon have a message up saying unless you pre-ordered on Nov 1st or earlier you won't get one till 2006.

Well I ordered on 13th Nov and my expected dispatch is 6-8th Dec unless they are telling porkies!
Will have to contact them and find out whats true.

That's why anybody buying off of eBay needs to buy off of the power sellers/online stores rather than individuals who have no solid guarantee they'll even get their machines to send to you.

Because of my schedule being so booked and the piss poor job done by the Madden franchise in the Xbox version, i may be selling my incoming Xbox on eBay and riding out the storm with the PS2 and Xbox games i havent even touched.

It seems folk who didn't pre-order were queuing outside first-come first-served outlets as early as 8am this morning for the machine (it goes on sale tonight at midnight in NA), that's fecking mental. I was gonna go down to Asda like three hours before midnight, I've got no chance by the sounds of it.

well it looks like you can easily get into the 360 then. I heard al the inside part were gonna be closed up in some sort of shell so modding couldnt be done.

Regarding stock issues now, I got an email sent to my store saying that all Game stores will NOT be able to satisfy all pre-orders on launch day!

Thats a killer, as for the past week Ive been reassuring customers all pre-orders will be honoured. Instead, we are just promising all pre-orders will be satisfied before Xmas.

Not being funny, but if we cant get all our pre-orders sorted no-one can.

Another thing which I feel Microsoft have messed up on, is that we are gonna have loads of Core units to sell on launch. No matter what they say, its clear that they shouldnt of tried to divide the market. With just a small £70 difference its hardly worth it.

and btw, the games are gonna be £49.99.

I cant believe the prices, especially when you consider play.com are selling them at £39.99!

Even with staff discount thats pretty close to me!

Also, anyone else heard about Condemned being released a week before launch? Seems weird but its gonna be out this friday.

the guy behind x360 (Allard) said that some games would be available b4 launch.

Personally I can't get into all the hype around the thing. I don't see must have games.

Misc. 360 Observations from the U.S.

1. Somebody paid $1,025 USD for the console today on Ebay (that doesn't include shipping). I saw other auctions closing in the $700-$800 levels.

2. Meanwhile, the retailer Wal Mart is reporting that they'll be able to meet demand.

3. Hysteria? Who the hell knows. My local Sears is getting a total of 4 consoles.

Despite going limp after reading the launch title reviews, I'll go out in a couple of hours and see if all the hype is real at the strike of midnight.

Apparently Argos is going to get a few bundles in and I don't think they do pre-orders so I'll try there.

The Best Buys, Circuit Citys, and Walmarts in my area resemble mini-refugee camps - tents, long lines, people staying overnight so they can be the first in the doors come morning - and there's a nice cold wind sending shivers through the gonads.

Meijer's is selling its stock as we speak -- all 14 units they received. The last wristbands were given out nearly 8 hours ago and people were instructed not to leave the store apparantly.

For what? To play the next gen, shitty-ass FIFA???

Best Buy - 75 units
Wal Mart - 10 units
Sears - 4 units
Meijers - 14 units

...in the burbs of Chicago.

It's goddamn laughable - except that I'm pissed I ain't getting one.

We'll see what, if anything, is left after the carnage tomorrow morning.

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved = 8.0

Happy news for Perfect Dark fans...

Gamespot gave it 9.0 which is very very respectable. I'm glad I'm getting it for Christmas :D
