got my xbox back from repair today, took about a week. It had the E74 error, it arrived in germany and within 24 hours was shipped back

they replaced only the board, so not only did it fix my E74, my was faulty hdmi is now working, and they kept my original drive, so i didn't need to mess with that

UPS picked it up the day i requested a repair as well, the only thing slowing it down is the fact it goes to Germany. If it stayed here it would take only 3 days!!!

I got mine back to day and it looks as though its a brand spanker, not a refurb

add to that the date on it is 09 meaning i get another 3 year warranty

Thanks for the link Dags I just got the dashboard beta .
Nothing special, but I'm glad that when you press the guide button to go the the achievements it's not a list anymore but a display like on your profile.

EDIT: A few things I've noticed.

The gamercard now displays how many years you've been a member, nice touch!

Achievement Display: You can see your total gamerscore out of the total available now (I've got 21548 out of 78470, disgraceful), and total achievements out of total available (1098 out of 3385). You can also see the games you've 100% completed (Pacman and Dig-Dug, go me).

Avatar Marketplace: Great, so we're going to start paying for things for our avatars like Home. Click on the link and you can access the shop, clothes etc. for 80/160 GP.

Avatar Props: Great idea but not going to pay for any of them, no way in hell.

Awards: Free props for your avatars from what I can tell, a bit like achievements of a different sort.

Games On Demand: You will shortly be able to download games to the HDD rather than buy them from the shops, and that means no-disc play. Cool.

More Resolutions: Best news of the lot.

Everything's loading a lot quicker for me, slowdown has definitely been reduced.

I don't know if that's a programming change or because there's only a small percentage of users who have the new dashboard though, less server load or something...

exactly. wtf has that got do with internet speeds The current dashboard can be sluggish at times so im hoping this new one will be better.

Can you get a mouse to work on the 360?

I know a USB keyboard does but im not sure about a mouse

The reason being is with Media centre and VMC Browser you can get a fully working Internet browser on your 360. The problem is that its needs a mouse to navigate and i don't know if its the fact my mouse isn't compatible or they just dont work at all. The keyboard works fine though

bought it in asda near southampton. it wasnt a bundle package, just an elite on its own...
