Really? Got my Elite hooked up via HDMI to my new 46" Samsung and it looks amazing...
 
also, there is the whole 1080p discussion when using hdmi, that you can't get on vga (at least i can't on my 50" G10 panny), but that is a whole can of worms that i don't want to open!
 
Cheers for the suggestion guys, I have a LG 32" and the RGB cable looks really bad on the tv, unless I'm meant to change the resolution (which I know nothing about).

I might buy a HDMI cable this week after reading about it more.
 
You aint even HD gaming if your using RGB lad, get yourself an HDMI or at least use the fooking Component cables.
 
Component on my PJ looks better than a HDMI and a VGA cable does

Can we just have a cable discussion stickied?

These questions come up every month it seems, and it'd far easier if people could just read one thread instead of asking a question which was asked last month, and the month before, and got the same answers.

agreed!

my little brother still plays on a 28" crt tv, and he (obviously) uses rgb...

i keep telling him, he may as well be playing the ps2 because the graphics just look the same! but he won't listen...

Yeah should be good that although people are obviously gonna cheat by getting the answers off the net
 
I was playing a game last night and someone was doing my nut in, so I decided to mute them and noticed that my dashboard was really slow, and like almost hanging for a couple of seconds at a time.

Anyone experienced this before? I am going to try clearing the cache tonight as MS just sent me the bog standard reply via email.

Mine does it ALL the time. Its frigging annoying... hangs for 5-10 seconds sometimes, totally unresponsive, then bursts back to life.
 
I'll let you know if clearing the cache works. I have my doubts though.

Thing is, online gameplay is not affected at all, so I dont think its my connection.
