Microsoft Xbox 360

When it resorts to which is the sexiest looking console you know people are getting desperate for an argument to use.

*Slams head on desk until eyes bleed*

It's a console, who fucking cares. Are they for playing games on or for looking at?

When you get to 30+, you'll appreciate what it means!

I'm 30+ and have no interest in what the console looks like, just want it to play games :)

Ah well... I just think it looks nice with a HDTV, Sky+HD etc... seems to fit in nice, where the 360 is a big white plastic box.

The Elite is better, but still has a shape that looks out of place with other media devices in a living room.

My 360 VGA cable arrived today! :D

Send on Monday by 2nd Class Recorded, it managed to get here earlier than my two previous items sent by 1st Class Recorded :|

With every copy of GTA IV is a 1 month free trial of Xbox Live Gold, I just used that code on my account thinking it would add to the 12 months I have, but now when I go on my account the 12 month membership does not show up, only the trial...
I really hope this doesn't mean that the 12 month membership is void, because there is no small print on the sheet with the trial code on saying a membershop would be voided.

I will just have to wait and see...

No, that's what it does, it only shows the last membership you redeemed. Don't worry about it.

Ridiculous. Walked into Zaavi and saw that they're selling GTA for £50 and Euro for £45.... oh yeah and Halo 3 for £44! I then walked into game and saw a preowned FIFA 08 for £40!!!! Whats wrong with these stores!?

If the PS3 had more games, and the games were the same quality as the 360 instead of shoddy ports, I'd definitely have a PS3 instead.

I've not noticed any differences in ps3 and 360 games - especially the ones people point out are massively different like the orange box. Played perfectly for me.

what games are supposed to be utter shite on the ps3 when compared to the 360?

==

and i hate shops that over sell games --- i never understood why catalog's used to over price the games by about £10-£20 - like you'd see fifa 95 in the universal catalog's for £70

Bloody hell mate, you've been digging to find that post

I was just having a read as i'm bored stupid today - little ones asleep - all the house work is done and no ps3 to play on :(

It because they are giving you credit and have to justify letting you have the game early and you being able to pay later. Mind you they should do a discount for people who want to buy the game outright. It always made me laugh when they had the 60GB PS3 listed for £425 and in the next catalogue had the 20GB listed for £415. Which genius worked that price out!?

Oh yeah i understand the pay 50p for 100 weeks way of charging more.

It's the prices for paying in full right away i always shake my head at.

speaking of the ps3 pricing - when i got my PS3 they had 1 bundle (Ps3 60 gig console and 2 games for £450) and another bundle (PS3 60 gig, same 2 games, 3 blue ray movies + extra pad £445)

Even the manager of the store who was talking through the bundles couldn't understand it

I'd say so but a lot of people here don't rate it. Those people are moreso people who didn't play SWOS back in the day, or just don't want to accept playing SWOS when there's games like FIFA or PES around.

Still a great game though :)

I don't like playing SWOS in this day and age because FIFA has spoiled it! :-pp

The spring Xbox Live update may be just around the corner, and ready to introduce support for "motion sensor devices".

That's according to a list of features leaked to Kotaku that originated from a supposed internal source at Microsoft.

There's no date attached to the leaked spring feature list; last year it went up on 6th June and we'd heard about it as early as April.

Most of the 80 bullet-point tweaks are rather trivial, but a couple caught our eye: "Option to donate Microsoft Points to anybody with a Windows Live ID," and, "Calibration options for motion sensor devices."

The first because we are greedy and the latter because, er, what is this "motion sensor", eh? It could, of course, be some sort of Live Vision support, and not necessarily the bizarre Wii remote-alike device blueprints that popped up on the Internet in April.

The full and rather lengthy list can be found below. Microsoft has been contacted for comment, and told Kotaku that it could not comment but hadn't seen the list before.

I like these :))

Will we ever have an IE though? Considering its microsoft and we already have msn live.

Is it possible to delete profiles on your 360?

My mate recovered his gamertag and also created a new one when he was at mine and they're really getting on my nerves being there now.

On the dashboard go to the system blade on the far-right, go to memory, go to your hard drive, go to profiles. You can delete them from there.
