Microsoft Xbox 360

I've got my eye on AVForums, I should be able to pick one up for £10 or slightly less :)
 
Fucking MS

I got my 360 back today for the second time after it came back from a 3RLOD fix earlier and live wasnt working

Well guess what, it still isnt fucking working

and it looks like shit as well, i might just request a repair then smash it up so they do it properly next time
 
just updated my console for xbox live thats out today and it gave my a error 74 code and my elite is now fucked

thankyou ms

no problems with it before the update

took it back to game, it was brand new in october 07

they have replaced it with a falcon system

they even tested it in the shop which they never used to, lucky i wasnt lying

i have kept my old hardrive, for my profiles etc

i am sure they have tried to pull a fast one because they gave me the same receipt back, so i said i need a new receipt

so he gave it the manager who crossed the date off and put todays date on, and circled the elite and said there you go

i said i should have a new one, and people might query that receipt if brought back, he said it would not be a problem

i left the shop and thought about it and went back and asked him to put the info on my game account for future reference. he took my post code and said he was doing it

but while doing it, he said that you shouldn't really have another 12 months warranty for this console it should be a continuation from the original purchase date, i said thats not right he said thats what trading standards told him

i said i would argue that and left the shop. i thought you should get a new warranty on a new replacement item?

so not sure if they have tried to fuck me off there because first console premium was bought in october 06, went faulty 11 months later, it actually was faulty

replaced for elite in september 07, the elite was faulty out of the box and did not read discs, replaced for the faulty one i have just returned
 
i'm pretty sure he's right on the warranty issue.

you pay for a 12-month warranty when you buy the xbox, therefore if it breaks down after 11 months, you can get it replaced/fixed for free.

if you get it replaced, then how can you expect to have that one replaced if it then breaks down again 6 months later?

just my opinion, but i think you're asking for too much... :p

GAME provide 12 months warranty from your FIRST purcahse
But when you get a new 360, that will have a new 12 months warranty with MS...

i have returned 3 consoles from october 06 to game and have got my 4th one today..

nice long 12 month warranty they do
 
Yes mate, it does nothing at all and apparently is an update to prepare for the next update...
 
Does anyone else find that sometimes your 360 pad just won't switch the 360 on?

I pushed the 360 button in and it started flashing, but the 360 didn't "see" it - so I decided to leave it for a bit. Ten minutes later and it's still flashing. I switched the 360 on myself and after ten seconds it connected to the 360 fine.

Try it and be amazed. Press and hold the 360 button until the pad starts flashing, it will then turn the 360 on. Or at least, it will try to. My pad has started "missing" the 360 50% of the time and I have no idea why.
 
Hahahaha it's in the manual guys! Mind you I don't read them either!

I used to have an Xbox 360, but I gave up after my 6th replacement. Happy with good old reliable PS3.
 
Yeh, gonna get a wired controller because my wirelesss just keeps cutting out even when I'm right next to the console.

Simply unacceptable when you're playing online. Ruined the first online league we did for me
 
Well it's purely anecdotal from mine and my wife's experiences, we play Tiger Woods two player, she uses the wireless controller and I use the wired one, she had great problems hitting straight shots, I do it with no great problem, then one day I use the wireless one and noticed my hitting is off as well, switch back to the wired one and I'm fine again, then I had my wife try some shots with wireless then try some shots with wired and her wired shots are much straighter, of course it could be that my wireless controller is fucked but it's not that old/abused so I don't think so :)

I have listed my XBOX on EBAY.

So I will no longer be on XBOX in the near future.

I have sold it to fund for a new TV.

So I'm a PS3 and Wii gamer from now on.
