Microsoft Xbox 360

What were Microsoft thinking when they made it? I know why: Because Americans and the UK are the world's fattest nations, that's why. It's so we could get our big fat hands around them!

Guys have any of you got a free month's subscription to Xbox Live? I need one as my bro has just bought a wireless dongle thingy and wants to go online. PM me if you have!

Thanks in advance. :)

If he has a premium just create a new hotmail account and sign up to live again to get a free month

i have done that a few times when a mate wants to play on the same console as me :)

Nice one Coopz, didn't think of that. :)

How about the 'S' pad - was the same, but a lot smaller. Made primarily for the Asian market as they have smaller hands (apparantly!).

If you gave him a 360, then you can get a 'Joystick' controller. Has a large stick instead of the left analogue and all the other buttons etc. Might be something to look into?

Cheers, I'll do that. Get him an S pad, not give him my 360.

Just restarted Bioshock but I'm playing it through harvesting instead of rescuing. I want to see the 'evil' ending.

How many more times are you going to ask before you realise there are none??

Seriously, Boogie Bunnies is a laugh with the missus. A cute little game about bunny-wunnies turns into "GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY, I NEED TO GET THE ORANGE ONES! YOU'RE TOO LATE NOW, HE'S DEAD!!"

Any recommendations for good 2-player XBLA co-op games?

Next Xbox 360 chipsets are Opus, Valhalla

We know it's a little weird to be pumped for Xbox 360 chipsets, but we here at Joystiq HQ are all pretty excited about "Jasper". When we see each other in the halls we'll often exchange a look and we don't even need to speak it, we just know: It's Jasper. Now, if Jacob Metcalf (the guy who broke the Bungie/Microsoft split story) is right, we'll have to start exchanging an additional two looks for the upcoming "Opus" and "Valhalla".

The first, "Opus" is basically a third-generation ("Falcon") board built to fit first generation ("Xenon") cases, primarily for the recycling of red-ringed systems, giving them cooler, more dependable guts (though no HDMI). The second, "Valhalla", is rumored to combine the 65nm CPU and 65nm GPU into one awesome super chip. It would only require one cooling system, meaning Valhalla would be quieter and (one would hope) more dependable. It would also be considerably cheaper.

Both chips (again, if Metcalf is on the money) are a ways off, with Opus coming in 2008 or 2009 and Valhalla following a year later. As excited as we are for the new builds (even though our eyes are getting sore from exchanged looks) we'll be happiest if this news means Microsoft won't euthanize the 360 as quickly as its predecessor.

Guys my brother needs the Xbox 360 network adaptor but doesn't wanna pay £60 for it - is there a cheaper alternative? I've seen on ebay that you can go Live with the 360 without the adaptor wirelessly but this isn't an option for my bro as he doesn't have a PC in his bedroom.

I can't find the Linksys adaptor Ash is on about - all I can find is wireless routers.

It plugs in VIA ethernet doesnt it Ash? plus you have to configure it if you have a WEP or WPA protected network..... Also is it really that much cheaper than MS's? on sites I have looked at this costs as much as £50.... For that amount your better off buying MS's

Basically the adpater connects via wireless to your internet/router.
Then from the adapter, you use a rthernet cable to the 360 :)

Too late now Coopz, bought the one Ash told me about for £22.

Thanks again for that link Ash mate, real appreciated. :)

FAO: Everyone who is on Xbox Live and has a spare £8.50 for MS points.

Download N+ now, it's totally utterly brilliant. And you get to be a ninja. Nuff said.
