Microsoft Xbox 360

Lucky bastard :(

My mate's Xbox broke once, so he sent it back and got it back about 20 days later, then after about a week it broke again and he had to send it back, so he got a free wireless headset from microsoft!

I've only now looked up shots of Lost Odyssey and I've got to say, I think it looks alright. Final Fantasyish, 360 graphics/achievements... Another one to add the demo list!

Either that or the fact that it's been stung by Microsoft for being "unwarrantied" has done something? Seems a mad thing for them to do though, "I know what would annoy those pirate bastards, if the clock reset every day! BWAHAHAHAHA!"

I've found a way around my boredom of games. As well as buying a guitar to take up a new hobby, I've just seen that Tesco's do game rentals! £14 a month to rent 2 games at a time, as many games as I want a month! Quality! Will save me a fortune buying games only to find I'm bored of them and want a new game but can't afford one :)

also heard a lot about Ikaruga... I looked on Youtube for Ikaruga and I hate those kinda games, that's what I get for just going off work instead of looking into a game

ikaruga is fecking brilliant, mate!

picked this up on dreamcast about 3 or 4 years ago... awesome game!!

I'm not a big fan of those type of games. Too much like R-Type and Xenon (I think that was it's name on the Atari ST?). Too arcade-like for me. And all are pretty much the same game, flying up/across the screen weaving from side-to-side while holding down the shoot button.

I've found a way around my boredom of games.

I always find a good session with the missus cures this. ;)

I have to say the 360 has some fucking great games out for it now - Burnout Paradise is quality, I have new love for FIFA after FINALLY realising that online is great fun and to make things better games like Resident Evil 5 and GTA IV are yet to be released. It's a good time for gamers!

Sold a load of games at CEX yesterday and got a few bundle copies/imports which retail shops wont take from me which I'll offer to people here first. CW tells me I can sell them for 24 hrs and after that I'll move to AVForums. All work fine on a PAL 360. If anyone's interested, let me know :)

Project Gotham Racing 3 (bundle copy) - £7 inc delivery
Call Of Duty 4 (Australian) - £25 inc delivery
The Orange Box (Japanese but all text/speech in English) - £25 inc delivery

I might sell Burnout Paradise, if I don't play it this week, I'll have that up for sale next week too.

Bored of it mate. We've already agreed that the AI is annoying and I just haven't got the patience for the AI "randomly" swinging into my lane, or just "appearing" from a side road for me to crash into. On top of that, when you crash, it seems like forever to get back on the road.

I can always rent it again at a later date.

As I type this, the Burnout advert just came on TV

And it still doesn't make me want to play it ;)

That's shocking Dags, good job you've started that renting thing because that's absolutely shocking.

I must say I agree with JB here, the AI is well annoying at times, but not enough for me to lose interest in the game! There's so much to do it's unreal!

Got my Burnout License last night finally! \\:o/ I've done all the burning routes for all the cars I own too :)

96 wins to Elite...

Nothing wrong with the AI, I think you look for reasons do dislike a game Dags (and I know I moan about games!)

It's good fun this - we need more games on the 360 like that. Remember the original Xbox and it's 10 tactical shooters released every week? Yawn.

Microsoft asks for Xbox 360 ‘Crackdown 2′ - Real Time Worlds says no

In an interview with Dundonian developers Real Time Worlds, it’s been revealed that Microsoft have approached them to request a sequel to the smash hit Crackdown.Sadly though, the request was knocked back with producer Phil Wilson saying “Microsoft were a little late in stepping up to the plate to ask for Crackdown 2, and by then we had already started working on bigger, better things”.

I personally find this news incredibly disturbing. The original Crackdown is my favorite title on the 360 since launch and if any game deserves a sequel it’s Crackdown - more so than Gear of War I’d wager.

Not all is lost though. Real Time Worlds are currently working on another crime based shooter ‘APB’ which will have more of a MMO feel to it. There’s also news they are working on a top secret project for release in 2009 - though we have no idea what that might be.

Crackdown 2 may well see the light of day, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing it until at least 2009 at the earliest. Perhaps the second in the series should be reserved as a launch title for Microsoft’s ‘next’ Xbox.

That sucks a bit. I'm enjoying Crackdown, I think its better than Saints Row. I played multiplayer last night for the first time and loved rocket tag!
