Microsoft Xbox 360

HMV had a deal with 2 games and an Elite for 299, thats the best I know of.

Got mine from HMV with Blue Dragon and Moto GP 07. Trade both games in and the Elite will cost approx £260 :)

Ill just pay mine from online, £40 that I forgot I had to spend, luckily mine dont run out till end of october, or near the beginning of november :)

Why is there 3 types of XBOX's will this one be the real one that should of been released many months ago?

Halo XB coming in Sept too...........

Who knows why Sony and MS released multiple SKU's, look at Ninty, they had the GC, now the Wii, fair enough the DS got a great facelift, but at least they didnt funk about with memory etc with it. It was the same machine with a neater shell. Sony and MS both screw around with different sized Harddrives and leave the public wondering which feckin one to buy.

Coopz: Some say they do, some say they don't. The general impression is that if MS catch you using an American one then you'll be banned. Also if you have a Euro account, you'd have to upgrade using a PAL XBL code or create a new American account.

Microsoft is in talks with the BBC to bring the broadcaster's library of content, including high definition TV programmes, to Xbox Live.

Video content is already available via Live in North America from the likes of Disney, MTV and CBS. As reported by the Sunday Times, the company is now speaking to the BBC and other European content providers about similar deals.

The news was confirmed by Ross Honey, senior director for media at Microsoft’s content and partner strategy group. He said Microsoft is keen to offer BBC programmes via Live including high definition shows such as Planet Earth.

"We are working diligently on multiple fronts to make it happen," he said, adding, "The BBC is a great content provider."

At last month's Leipzig GCDC, Sony announced plans to launch a TV tuner with PVR functionality for PlayStation 3. The company has also signed a deal with Sky to offer content via PlayStation Network on a pay-per-view basis.

The Elite is a bit quieter, mine came with the BenQ drive which definately sounds a LITTLE quieter. Still a damn noisy machine compared to a Wii and PS3 though!

Where do game updates store themselves? A workmate of mine has a Core and is using a memory card. I'd have thought the game updates would save to his memory card but he's pretty sure they dont save onto that and that the 360 must have some internal memory where game updates are saved. Surely it's onto the memory card?

Alright all, welcome the soon to be proud owner of a 360 elite (all just to pawn jack and jay on fifa08 evo web online league  ), but just a quick question though, if anyone can give me insight it'll be very apreciated.
I just saw an elite 360 for $449.99 which in pounds is almost half of that, i suppose thats cheap, no? (the other place was GAME and thiers go for the most part of £300.00). does it matter if i get it as its american and will it work in the UK?,

EDIT: actually never mind, just wemt through the last couple pages and saw the HMV deal which looks miles better that what GAME offers, so ill be getting that instead,.thanks for that holio. ;).... LIVE Here i cuuuuuuummmmm!!...cuum?..come?..co.. oh well :p

TGS Microsoft Press Conference:

pre-tgs-briefing.jpg

1:50PM – Koei is showing off Dynasty Warriors 6, which will launch for PS3 and Xbox 360 at the same time this November, and will also be playable at TGS. They show a trailer for the no-longer exclusive Devil May Cry 4, and say it will be on the Xbox 360 "early next year." It's unclear if the PS3 version has been delayed from its expected Q4 release or if both versions are coming out next year. After the trailer, Sensui calls the game "Devil Maker 4." Hey, don't sweat it, that name makes more sense than "Devil May Cry."

1:55PM – SURPRISE! Ninja Gaiden 2! Our good buddy Tomonobu "Tekken sucks" Itagaki takes the stage and says this is the world premiere of the game. "We, Team Ninja, don't think the last Ninja Gaiden on Xbox was a masterpiece or such." What about Sigma on the PS3? Did you get it right by that point? He continues, "Many compromises there, ten or twenty features we could not implement then. This time, we can finally present those original ideas." It only took what ... four iterations?

The ever humble Itagaki barely squeaks out, "The Xbox 360 is the best game console on the earth and this game is gonna be the best on the console." To prove it, he's showing off some real-time footage of the title.
