Microsoft Xbox 360

Tried four, Rainbow Six Vegas, Gears Of War, Virtua Tennis and GTA SA (Xbox 1). All the same. It's not a serious problem, all you have to do is press eject twice, but... It makes you wonder what they're up to...

my tray has virtua tennis in.

Just switched the 360 off for an hour, came back in, switched it on and now, for the first time since the update, it says what disc is in the drive again (Gears Of War)...

Whaaaaaaaaat.

Just finished the Darkness. Loved it. I love the amount of power you have as the player and the amount of gore in the game. Good graphics and story too.

Anytime between now and OCT 1st

So far the new premiums with the HDMI ports have just been upgraded to the Elite Zephyr motherboard which has the new heatsink and runs quieter

But no word or evidence of anyone haveing the Falcon chipsets.

The ussuall blogs will be the first to release the info when its available

goddamn that MS repair centre!!

40days to wait to get my console back from the 3red lights and they didn't bother fixing the dvd tray that I've had trouble with too! It was all noted down but no, lazy gits have returned it as is, yet now (yesterday) it can take up to 12times of pressing eject just to open the damn thing to play a game!

A great console with great games but seriously, why can't they just make them work?!!!

Because they rushed the launch. The people who put together the consoles were rushed hence crappy soldering on the boards and some crappy components.

New Batch Of Xbox 360s Not Yet Sporting New Falcon Chipset
IMG_1549-copy.jpg

Brave NeoGAF member and Kotaku Defense Force lieutenant "wonderkins" was bold enough to crack open the chassis on his brand new Xbox 360, one of the newly released Premiums with HDMI output. This inside look at the gory internal workings of the newest Xbox 360 is now largely assumed to be off the "Zephyr" variety, following the motherboard and heatsink form factor of the Xbox 360 Elite. What's that mean? The latest hardware release from Microsoft is most likely not of the "Falcon" 65nm manufacturing spec, meaning the arrival of cooler, smaller, hopefully more reliable CPUs is still unknown.

On the plus side, wonderkins did provide a photo of the new Premium's DVD-drive, the quieter BenQ variety. More shots of the hardware in the gallery below and at the original NeoGAF thread.

Yeah a bit too many for my wallet / availeble time.
Great list though.

Has anybody heard anything about a price drop for the 20gb hdd? Im waiting to get one, but as the 120gb is released later this month i was hoping the 20 would go down in price (seeing as the consoles are aswell).

Bioshock Demo, Made Even Harder!

Those who've completed the download already know two things: the Bioshock demo is absolutely incredible (the sound design took me by total surprise) and it's also very difficult. At least, when certain alarms go off and an endless stream of enemies start attacking...we don't want to ruin it for those who haven't played the game, but it's hard.

But for gamers looking for an even greater challenge, it's possible to activate they grayed out "hard mode" on the title screen.

Before starting the demo, go to your gamer profile in the dashboard and then change your default game settings. Go to general, then change your difficulty to hard.
Now when you start the demo, hard should be highlighted when you have the option to select your difficulty. Don't move the cursor or you will not be able to select hard again, unless you go back (B).

Easy as cake...until you load it. Then things get hard again we're assuming.

Medal of Honor Airborne Demo Coming

MOHA_Husky_Jumplg-thumb.jpg

A demo for Medal of Honor Airborne drops onto the Xbox 360 and PC on August 23, EA announced today. The 360 version will be on Live and the PC version on the Medal of Honor website. The demo will be of a single, single player mission.

Game looks pretty shit IMO but I'll check out the demo :)

This was my initial stance but checking a video it dosnt appear to be linear when you parachute in you can land anywhere and tackle objectives in any order. :)

Im bored of WW2 games though will probs pick it up when there a break in games. :)

I thought it looked pretty good at E3 yes you can land anywhere on the map you like and choose to do your objectives in any order and go anywhere.

All FPS should be like this from now on and not just go from A-B along this corridor as ordered like boring games like Halo and Gears of War etc.

I like non-linearity in games like Grand Theft Auto but in games like Gears Of War and Halo I'd rather it was linear. Wouldn't feel right otherwise, you're the guy taking orders, not the guy giving them.
